Our stay was fine for 1 night, but I wouldn't stay longer. We had a lovely welcome and were quickly shown to our room, which was great. The twin room was not as pictured - it had been rearranged and the beds had been pushed together facing the TV (not as in the picture) so it was hard to climb into the one bed against the wall. The WiFi wasn't available in our room, which was extremely irritating and not told to us or mentioned when booking; it's only available in certain rooms. The shower head was terrible - it sprayed everywhere and was hard to shower without getting sprayed in the face or not getting your hair wet - the shower head needs to be replaced. The shower floor is also very slippery and uneven, so you have to be careful when soapy.
The environment is very beautiful. It's a bit close to the road so cars are only audible. The room was functional but needed attention to detail. Bent room key, door that has a large space underneath where bugs have flowed in, furniture that doesn't fit together and feels 'random' breaks down what is created as an expectation in the photos. The WhatsApp confirmed check-in time as 19:00 but I was called to say it was 17:00. Had to make plans in a hurry to pick up key. Also no WiFi. For the price, not worth it. Would not pay more than R800.

Very comfortable accommodation. Friendly and helpful staff. Perfectly located to explore the area. The restaurant is very convenient and has a varied menu.
The room was very comfortably equipped and beautiful, clean and tidy. The Eike Restaurant, which is on the premises, also brought our dinner to our room every night so that we could sit and eat in peace on the veranda. All the staff were very friendly and accommodated us with a late check out.
We enjoyed it so much.
What more could one ask for? Will go back any day!

Staff friendly, welcoming and efficient. The historic old house has been well-preserved and restored. A nice touch was the little carafe of sherry and glasses in the room.
