Being on a business trip, the unavailability of WiFi and the fact that my Telkom WiFi could not connect there at all was quite a frustration. The room had a constant damp smell.

Good for overnight purposes. Good for Nampo accommodation.

We were placed in a room next to a room with many people in it so we struggled to have hot water. They were very noisy and we could barely sleep for 2 nights. They also came to get the other bed in our room on day 2 to put more people in the room next to us, I counted 6 adults. Although we were booked for 3 nights, the next day we packed our things and looked for other accommodation. It was very disappointing for the price of R1100. 00 per night. The beds were very well slept in. The restaurant's food was very nice.

We then took a larger room with ice load where we had to, which we understood. The room's bathroom light did not work. Later when we wanted to shower there was no water. Meals had not been prepared for them. We had to ask for everything. At our last dinner, the manager couldn't even wait for us to finish eating. Did we just come to the table and say we still owe the room. We were a large group of people and I think it was inappropriate.

I lived in room 15 for one night. My room door's lock didn't work well. At least they informed me about it, so they know about the problem. It probably took me two minutes of struggle to get the door open. The next morning coming out from inside, it probably took me five minutes of ghosting to get the thing open. What if the building catches fire and I can't get out the door? The faucets at the sink shock one at certain times. This also happened last year at room 14. Places where less urgent improvement could be done: not a problem for me, but noticed that the shower floor is quite slippery; the TV remote control's batteries are taped; and the blinds let light through and do nothing to the sound of the trucks passing by at night. All the good things I can mention are the big bed and the good water pressure in the shower, and the breakfast that was included in the price. Other than that it was just as unpleasant as the previous year I stayed there. I stayed here again this year to give them another chance, but would not recommend it.

Our dinner was not great, pasta was overcooked and steak raw. The shower was leaking water.

Reception was unfriendly, and after 15:00 on Sunday no staff available. Restaurant staff were friendly. Many things need attention. Shower head needs to be replaced. Three beggars bothered us. Unit lacks a refrigerator. Blinds are broken and do not work well. TV and DStv are outside the TV box with loose and untidy wires. Must hold DStv remote control high above your head otherwise decoder will not see anything. Not even candles or emergency lights available. Bathroom floor is flooded. Something is leaking. No WiFi in room.

We are very disappointed in Die Geel Huis. When we got there the receptionist didn't know we were coming. She asked us which room we had arranged and whether we booked in a big room or small room. We then got the key from her after she went backwards twice. We were in the room and just quickly walked through and saw the mirror in the shower was terribly dirty and there was a smell in the room. We just accepted the mirror and thought it was just cleaning products that gave off the smell. After a struggle we locked the room's door from outside. We then left The Yellow House and returned at 11 o'clock in the evening. The room then stank terribly and the smell was very bad then. We then noticed that the ceiling roof in the bathroom was moldy and it gave off the smell. It was also raining so that could have made the smell worse. We left the door a little open and sprayed some spray and hoped the smell would go away. When we tried to lock the room door from the inside, the room door wouldn't close at all. We then saw that there were also dirty marks on the wall. We then decided we were not going to sleep there with the smell and the door not being able to lock. We decided before 12 that we were not going to sleep there and made other arrangements for a place to sleep. We called the guard on the premises and he asked if we were looking for another room. However, we said no, because if one room is so dirty and its door can't close, the rest will probably be too. We gave the guard the key and left.

I would stay there again if necessary.

The Yellow House is very conveniently located and the fact that there is a 24-hour reception means you don't have to worry if you might be a little late. The fact that they include a very nice breakfast makes it very good value for money. The restaurant on site is very comfortable and makes good food. The room needs a little attention (the TV didn't work and the blinds on the front window were broken) but they took care of it quickly.

However, there is no microwave. If it's self care why not? TV didn't work. Toilet bowl keeps leaking. Good and friendly service though. Clean and tidy.

The rooms could do with an upgrade. Our bathroom was not very pleasant. The ceiling was open. Definitely will not sleep there again.

Staff was very friendly. Felt uncomfortable when owner was in contact with us during our visit to the restaurant. There were no bedside lamps and the bathroom could be renovated.

The location and setup works well if you have a long drive and just want to rest overnight. I have stayed here a few times. Has the place changed hands or management? We had to leave early, before breakfast. There was an offer for a breakfast pack (sandwich and fruit) which we accepted but didn't expect to get burgers made the night before! Cold hamburger for breakfast?

A little love, attention and interest will do the place a lot of good.

The economy room's towels are really not up to standard. Room was clean, but difficult to lock and unlock.

Close to Wolmaranstad, 800 m outside the town, right next to the N12, delicious breakfast, very friendly service. will definitely stay there again.

Bedding was neat and clean, but rest of room needs attention. The tables and shelves are neglected, the bathroom door is very dirty and needs a decent cleaning and painting. Curtains' hooks were hacked out or broken, but not repaired or fixed. The air conditioner is installed in the bathroom so the sleeping area does not get very cool. The emergency light for load shedding did not work. The ceiling in the bathroom is peeling off. With a little attention, the guest house can be recommended with peace of mind.

Overall satisfied with accommodation except that the road is so close to accommodation. Terribly noisy throughout the night. If you don't have ear fluff, you won't sleep at all.

Contractors use the venue. No control over those. Late night noise. Night guard does not answer calls and is outed as a liar next morning after WhatsApp message sent by myself to eleven! Rooms in poor condition. Laminate floors are run down. Not recommendable!

Very friendly service. Food was delicious. There wasn't a plug for the basin. The shower floor is hollow, feels like you can step a hole in the floor. Shower wasn't very neat, other visitors' things were still in the shower. Plug at the bed didn't work.
