The open-plan living area features neat seating arrangements to relax on, and the kitchen contains a bar fridge, a microwave, a two-plate stove as well as crockery and cutlery, tea, water, coffee, sugar and milk plus some homemade rusks. Tea towels and dishwashing liquid are supplied. A TV with selected DStv channels and Wi-Fi is available.
Guests can relax on the verandah and make use of the braai facility. Lock up garage is available for a vehicle next to the cottage as well, with security on the property. Die Lemoenhuis is within close proximity to a few coffee shops, restaurants and a museum as well.

Nice quiet farm atmosphere with nice people.
We only stayed one night, but had a great time. Provision was made for the winter which started again in advance, and with a little one with us it was much appreciated. It was a pleasant stopover from Kalagadi to the Cape.
Aside, nice view, quiet, nice hosts - would stay there again!

The Lemoenhuis exceeded our expectations. The facilities are great, the host and hostess, Francois and Liz, are friendly, helpful people who immediately made us feel at home. We would recommend Die Lemoenhuis without hesitation and would definitely like to stay there if we visit Calvinia again. This home is an asset!

The cottage is spacious, well equipped and a peaceful area. Beautiful view from the porch. Bed slept very well. Owners incredibly friendly and helpful, and the 3 Labradors looked after me wonderfully and kept me company.
Very nice place with everything you need and a nice view of the mountains. Hostess also goes out of her way to make guests feel at home and provide everything that may be needed such as e.g. dining chair and cutlery for small children. We had a great stay, thank you!

A lovely place to settle down and rest after a long day on the road and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. The cottage is tasteful and well equipped and away from the noisy main streets and the views over the veld and the mountains are fabulous.

We used the Lemoenhuis as a base to tour Namaqualand. Liz and Franscois were exemplary hosts and the accomodation was very comfortable. We especially loved the doggies. We will stay there again when next in Calvinia.

I really enjoyed my stay at Die Lemoenhuis. I hadn't even dropped off my luggage the first night and had already booked a second night. I had the most beautiful view from my bedroom for 2 mornings. My first coffee was enjoyed on the porch benches with a warm cuddly blanket to ward off the cold. I would without a doubt recommend Die Lemoenhuis for a peaceful visit!

It was very clean and supplied everything that's needed for a comfortable stay.
The unit's location facing the open field with a view of the Hantamberge is very special. Our puppy also made nice friends with the 3 resident dogs. Francois and Liz were very smitten, just a shame Francois has such a hard time playing tennis and now has to play golf instead.
We arrived late in the evening with our two dogs, but that was no problem. We were received kindly and our dogs were allowed to run around the yard. The cottage we stayed in was very cute, clean and well equipped. Wish we could have stayed a little longer.
The proprietors gave a very useful description of life in Calvinia which was very interesting to us.
