Stunning overnight accommodation on my return trip from George. Certainly a place where one could easily spend a few very quiet and peaceful days just unplugging! The facilities are adequate and the hosts most warm and welcoming - I felt like an old friend (first time visitor). I would certainly engage this accommodation again on similar road trips.

We stayed in the Nessie. It is a well maintained unit with everything you need, spacious and immaculately clean. We were hospitably received by Kotie and immediately felt at home.
Our stay here was lovely and comfortable. There was a lovely place to rest after a long day on the road in the cool on comfortable chairs and we could have a nice barbecue. The hostess received us very warmly. The four-footed children were a sweet treat!
Perfect accommodation on the way to the Cape! Don't miss the chance to stay here! From the parking lot, a short path winds through the big old trees to the roundabout. Classic interior, beautiful yellow wood floor and calm decor. The beds are 100% comfortable and we were able to rest wonderfully in the peaceful atmosphere. Early the next morning's sunrise over the Free State plains gave us courage for the further journey. If the chance arises, we will definitely stay here again. Thank you very much for the milk and coffee and tea!
We really enjoyed our stay at Die Rondawel. Very neat, clean and stylish. Well equipped. We also really enjoyed the walk and jog on the farm with our dog. Will book there again.
Absolute pleasure to be able to stay there. Kotie and her sister (Sophia) were in constant contact and really went out of their way to ensure I was helped. In addition, Sophia showed me her mega chicken farm which was very interesting. The farm environment is the best for me.
After a long day's travel it is a relief. The Rondawel is spacious and well equipped. We were able to enjoy a barbecue in the evening to wind down. Beautiful garden! Dirt road is not bad at all. Will definitely use the Rondawel again.
The Rondawel is a lovely space surrounded by a beautiful garden and large shady trees. Kotie has given a lot of attention to important detail and the comfort of her guests.

We were travelling with our children from Canada with two young children. Everything was spotless when we arrived. Missed the following though: soap in the shower, a wooden board for food prep and a bin for kitchen waste.

Ideal getaway from the city's hustle and bustle. The Rondavel is tranquility itself. The garden is stunning. Beautiful white rose trees and lawn. The Rondawel is stylishly and comfortably furnished. There was a lovely bunch of white roses in the room. The sound of thunder and rain was so beautiful. The owner is very friendly. The kitchen has a beautiful view of the garden. Everything you want to know (e.g. WiFi password) is neatly laid out, laminated and stuck to the fridge.
The Nessie room was huge, with everything that you might require. Very peaceful on the farm. A very welcoming host greeted and explained all regarding the accommodation. A perfect place for the end of a long days' travel.

We drove through the farm gate just before sunset. The welcome was generous and hearty. Our Nessie was ready and so beautifully furnished with everything we needed. It was a very cold Easter weekend and here in the South Free State the wind was blowing cold, but first we walked through the garden and observed the beautiful colors of the evening sky. Then back to our cozy room with the icing on the cake - an electric blanket on our bed. We had a lovely 'picnic dinner' in the room as it was just too cold for a barbecue, but I can only imagine how special it would be. In the fridge were some eggs - sizes! We cooked and added it to our meal. White with the lightest yellows ever - and when we asked what it cost, Anphia told us it was free. They can't package the super jumbos for sales. She gives it to the guests. It was so special. Thank you very much for a truly unforgettable evening. I believe we will stay here again. Your good service and kindness will stay with us for a long time.

Die Rondawel is perfectly located for a break in the journey between JHB and Cape Town. It's 10 to 15 minutes off the N1 so there is no noise disturbance from the highway. You are tucked away in a green oasis on a working farm with glorious wide open horizons. Would love to have stayed longer!

Real country hospitality from the moment we got there. We were welcomed with a nice cup of coffee and biscuits under a large shade tree in the garden. The unit we slept in was beautifully clean and tidy. Even our dog child was welcome.

All I really regret is that I only spent one night here. The hostess went out of her way to make me feel at home. A jewel of a rondavel located just outside Trompsburg. One can see the care and detail that went into the design of this rondavel. You are received with the friendliness one would expect from the beautiful Free State. Lovely landscape, garden and facilities that make you feel at home. Great overnight option! Anphia went out of her way to make us feel at home. We even had a tour of her modern chicken farm which made these city lads' day! The private rondavel is comfortably furnished and clean, with delicious fresh double-door farm eggs to cook yourself for breakfast.
