13 guests' feedbackLovely stay at Wilma and the Rooi Garnaat. Nice old gas stove in the kitchen, fireplace in the living room, electric blanket on the bed and Wilma's warmth and hospitality. Nice break from Bloemfontein for an evening or weekend. Or just stay off the N1 heading North or South.
A beautiful, peaceful setting. Very comfortable and the host is an absolute darling. We will be back!
Apart from the excellent hostess, the stay exceeded our expectations. Very neat, clean room and other facilities. The garden was definitely a plus. Had a great time with the family there. If I'm ever in that area again, I'll definitely stay there again. Thank you very much Wilma!

Beautiful old house and a friendly reception. The shared bathrooms are not ideal. However, the town is lacking even a single restaurant or proper store.
During the evening and overnight there was a very long power outage, which affected the whole town and neighboring towns. Cottage did not have an alternative such as a gas stove for coffee/tea water, which was inconvenient. However, we were received very kindly.
Although there is no breakfast, coffee and rusks were provided in the dining room. Room was very spacious and the garden has an orchard.
Comfortable stay. What a pleasant surprise behind the entrance. Enjoyed our stay. Lovely, peaceful surroundings.
Accommodation is very comfortable. Friendly and helpful reception. Well located in the main street of town. All told, a most enjoyable experience.
Father and son undertook a country tour and ventured as far as possible on the back roads. Fauresmith impressed us with general cleanliness and little general decay - and the Red Garnet as overnight accommodation was a pleasant surprise.
First you people never mentioned the place is a shared apartment, with the owner. Second when the owner knew that we were attending the wedding, she freaked out and told us about her son who had heart operation and Covid bla bla, we attended the wedding and went there to pickup our laggage and decided to help out our stranded family. Next time ask if people will prefer shared accommodation. We paid alot of money for a blue room which doesn't have a TV and owners clothes still in the wardrobe ????
We had a good time like the previous times like old friends with professional service. Everything in its place, plus a bonus of tasty farm food.
Also very close to the DE NADA venue.
