For the Embuia room, guests are required to specify whether or not they would like to make use of both bedrooms. If guests are only going to use one bedroom, the second one will be locked. If a booking of 2 guests would like to make use of both bedrooms, an extra rate will be charged.
We, unfortunately, do not accept student groups, bachelor-, bachelorette parties or as we are only suitable for families or couples. A sparkling enclosed pool is available for the guests to enjoy.
Excellent restaurants, one of which serves a very good breakfast from 07h00, are just 500m walking distance from Die Strandhuis.

Stunning accommodation with a great view.
Everything was neat and in its place. The unit was tastefully furnished and everything one needed was at hand. The beach is walking distance from the unit and we were able to get to the beach easily. Everything was walking distance from where we lived.
I was so impressed by how cosy it was - I felt at home immediately. Would definitely stay here again, I had a lovely time!

The Strandhuis has everything you need for a self-catering holiday. Very close to the beach. Can sit and watch the sea from the veranda. There was no noise during the day and night. The restaurants are quite close to the house. About 500 m. It was great for us to take old Mollie, our Shitzhu puppy, with us. Ballito and Umhlanga very close for day trips. We would highly recommend the Strandhuis and will definitely visit the North Coast again.
You can walk to the beach. Everything you need is there. Magriet is very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend the place.

The Strandhuis is a dream holiday home. There is everything and more that one could need. There are enough hooks for towels and plenty of cutlery, and everything is clean and tidy and you can see that someone spends time to make the house as comfortable as possible. On that porch you can sit and find peace with the most beautiful view!
We spent 1 night there. A very peaceful area and apartment is equipped with everything you need, nice garden, swimming and braai area and sea view. Walking distance to the beach. The owner Magriet was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to stay there again.

Die Standhuis was wonderful! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay - Margriet responds to emails promptly and I got a WhatsApp the morning of my check in with details on where to get the keys and directions to the unit. Absolutely perfect for small doggies as each unit has wooden gates on either side so your doggie can be on the patio with you without disturbing your neighbours! Rosewood has crockery and cutlery galore - can't think of anything you would be missing in a small self-catering apartment on holiday. It even has a gas stove and oven! Rosewood was perfectly spotless when we arrived and the linen and bedding is so luxurious! The beach cannot be more than 30 meters from the house so you don't even need to take a car! We enjoyed every moment at the beach house and didn't want to leave. The house is incredibly well equipped and we had so much fun hanging out on the porch and looking at the sea! It was wonderful.

We were in the beach house, very neat. Private. Wonderful sea view even though the weather was not nice. We could walk everywhere, parked the car in the garage and walked where we wanted to be. The cleaning staff (Joy) was also very friendly. We took our 2 dogs with us and it was so nice. Everything was nicely closed. I can recommend this Beach House to anyone. There are plenty of breakables and nothing is missing. We will go here again for sure.

A perfect place for us in Greta's studio. Bedroom with king-size bed and a spacious living room opening onto a large deck looking out on the sea. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Despite an unfortunate encounter with the gate on our departure.
I was looking for an overnight place close to the airport and Die Strandhuis was perfect. Quick booking and payment via the website and a couple of SMS's between Margriet and I and everything was organised. I got the key at a safe place and left it there again, so no admin or paperwork with arrival or departure. The room (Rosewood) is nice and spacious with a big bed, kitchen corner and sitting corner.

Booked the Strandhuis because it is close to King Shaka Airport. 24 hours between flights and airports, exhausted! So much noise, table and benches right under Unit 6 where we were. People were sitting there hanging out and not caring how much noise they were making. No other guests considered. Really the last thing we needed or could tolerate! If I may advise the owner, remove the table and benches under unit's window.

Die Strandhuis has a sea view and is walking-distance from the shops and restaurants at Umdloti. The units are cleverly appointed with everything we needed. The bed is comfy and the curtains block out the morning sun perfectly. There's even a nice braai area in the back garden. We were very happy!

Cleanliness - great. There may be a door between the bedroom and living room, as other guests pass by the apartment from time to time and curtains should be kept closed if you are in the bedroom. Smoke from fellow guests bothers. Maybe a designated smoking area?

Appreciate the need to save energy and recycle waste, however, found the waste requirements a bit hectic especially as it was just a weekend stopover to get away from the buzz of city life, a frenetic lifestyle, daily demands, information overload and even glaring social ills. To then absorb new "waste" habits after a 7 hour drive was too much to absorb sorry. The subsequent guilt of not complying was all consuming. I am all too aware of conserving energy and preserving the planet but surely a holiday is a switch-off from these pressures too! Aside from this a well maintained and pleasant resort.
The location of the guest house is "great" and the rooms were neat and with comfortable beds. We will definitely stay there again.

Die Strandhuis is ideal for large groups as the bedrooms, kitchen and dining room are all perfectly situated around the patio where the braai area is. Bathrooms are more than adequate for the number of residents that can be accommodated. The swimming pool is a welcome and perfectly situated addition. Security is more than adequate and enough parking has been provided. The sea view from the patio is absolutely amazing! Die Strandhuis is situated in a quiet neighbourhood and only 100m from the seaside. Restaurants and convenience stores are within walking distance and Umdloti is a beautiful coastal village that leaves you sad when you have to return to the hectic city life. We had a great time staying at Die Strandhuis - big thanks to Greta and her team!!!

The Beach House is beautifully neat and clean and absolutely value for money. It is walking distance to good restaurants and the beach.
The owner was away on leave & left the running of the establishment in the hands of a domestic who although very able & efficient went home at 1600hrs leaving us completely on our own. On Tuesday evening when we wanted to bath/shower there was no hot water available & no one to turn to. The bath/shower water is heated by gas so it definitely needed somebody staying on hand to rectify the matter. Apart from that we found Die Strandhuis very convenient & comfortable.
Value for money and very peaceful atmosphere and close to everything.
