The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, basic crockery and cutlery, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. There’s also a centrally located breakfast island with stools. It expands into the lounge area which has a comfy seating space with a TV.
The unit opens up to a lovely patio with outdoor furniture, braai facilities as well as a nice view. The unit is securely fenced. It is the ideal overnight stop on the way to the sea or back, on the N8 and very close to the N1.

It was awesome over. The hostess is the best we have come across in years. Well read and well read and really enjoyable with interesting narratives. The place was perfect. Clean with everything you need. It's not intended for months-long stays, but take an extra fridge and you can live there for years. Environment is clean and it was soul food for the 2 city dwellers. We go again and again and again.
Lovely place with the friendliest people. Warmly welcomed, children really enjoyed the ice cold watermelon. The dogs, walks and Tannie's kindness made it worth it. Will definitely stay there again. Wonderful place. Most beautiful view!
One of the nicest places we've stayed overnight. We have also stayed here before and it really is the best value for money out there. The hospitality is excellent and you feel right at home when you arrive. It is very spacious and very well furnished. One of my favorite things about the accommodation is that it is completely fenced so my woof can safely run around alone without me having to worry. Beautiful location too - the stars in the evening are lovely!

Tuishuis offers lovely accommodation - and is excellent value for money. It is far enough from the city that the farm's silence can be heard. The house is fenced so it is puppy friendly. Everything you could possibly need is there, and it is more spacious than one might expect. The veranda with the garden set is also lovely, and one can take in the view properly. The hospitality was excellent. We definitely had a great time!
What a delightful surprise! Friendly reception, very neat and clean accommodation after a long day on the road, and the best was that our two dog children were kindly welcomed. We all really enjoyed the outdoors. We will visit again.
We had a very nice stay. The fact that my dog was also welcome earned bonus points. I would recommend the place with great confidence. The hostess is very welcoming and she really goes the extra mile. There are so many extras in the accommodation that are very welcome. Truly a gem.
The house is very well located, very neat, clean and beautiful. The owner, Hendrien, is very friendly, helpful and she makes sure that we are comfortable. This is the first accommodation we have stayed at where the cottage looks much better in reality than in the photos. Thank you very much for an incredibly nice stay. We had a lovely albeit a short stay at Tuishuis. Hendrien was the perfect hostess. The house itself had everything we could possibly need and the enclosed garden was fantastic for our furbaby.

The people of Tuishuis are very friendly and helpful. The place is very neat and our little family of 5 could relax and rest. There are enough and comfortable beds. Tuishuis is a bit out of Bloemfontein, but still close enough and is ideal because it is quiet and peaceful.
Our stay was short, but so comfortable. Communication was excellent. Owners were so welcoming, we felt right at home. The cottage is beautifully decorated and the beds extremely comfortable, the best night's rest I've had all holiday. It was lovely not to deal with load shedding and the gas heater was very much appreciated on a rather chilly night. We will definitely be back.
The owners are so kind and the place is an excellent stop with dogs. There is a walk around the farm one can do off-leash with the dogs and the house is fenced. The owner went out of her way to make our stay comfortable, definitely recommend this gem.

I loved the place. Nice and private, clean and tidy with so many little things that made the visit just that little bit more special. Hendrien contacted me pretty early on via WhatsApp, so I could keep her informed of our travel plan. Load power did not bother at all, as the house is totally independent of Eskom. We and our dog child got nice treats to take home. There is also Netflix, WiFi and a gas stove and geyser, good coffee, biscuits, ice, wood, and toiletries, so we lacked nothing. I will definitely check in there again if I'm in the area!
Hendrien and her husband, what good people are they? What you forgot is there, wood, milk, biscuits and even hair shampoo. You know, there are even towels for dogs. The best advice is; go see for yourself. Oh yeah, the fire pit is a winner.
What a wonderful place to stay! Hendrien was extremely accommodating with both our check-in and check-out times. So much effort made to make us and our dogs feel welcome! The cottage is beautifully furnished and the location from the N1 is fantastic. We would love to visit again and then we will enjoy the sunbath at the beautiful boma. Thanks for everything, Hendrien!
Definitely a place we’ll go back to, we felt such peace with those big open skies and golden fields far from the hustle and bustle. Everyone we came across was friendly and there was quite a bit to see and do in the area. We were welcomed with open arms and it’s a truly dog-friendly unit with so much care and thought given. There were even towels for the dogs in the linen cupboard! We slept well and had peace of mind during the day too, knowing our doggies were safe in the fenced garden. Tuishuis was perfect and had everything we needed and so many extras for our 3 nights. Thank you, Hendrien.

Very friendly people and the place is so cute and clean.
All possible needs are catered for. From the barbecue facilities to water bowl and blanket for the dog to fresh vegetables and biscuits for breakfast.

Safe and convenient stopover spot that is well set up for those travelling with dogs. A friendly host greeted us and the accommodation was very comfortable for a stopover. Wi-Fi is good and Netflix is provided.
