Doringpoort: Lemoentjiedoring 1621 Self-catering Accommodation offers a free-standing chalet situated nestled in the unspoiled bush near the southern tip of the Kruger National Park in Marloth Park. It has its own unique atmosphere with all the luxuries to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay in the bush.

The chalet has its own private access. It is a modern unit equipped with a queen-size bed and en-suite with a shower, basin and toilet. Air-conditioning, a fan, Wi-Fi and a TV with the stay Essential DStv package. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen and is ideal for 2 persons.

There is a private under roof braai and access to a communal splash pool and braai area. Under the roof of street parking. No access to the Lodge. Please enquire about our breakfast options at an additional cost.

Guests can use their own high clearance vehicle for game drives. Walks, running and mountain bikes are allowed. Marloth has his own shopping centre, small but has all guests daily stuff. Crocodile Bridge gate is only 20 km away.

We rested very well. The silence is valuable. The place was neat and we were received kindly. Everything in working condition. Except: The "tire" chairs do not match the high standard and the inside sink is very cramped and could just as easily be moved outside as it is an outside kitchen unit after all. The night owls who visited us, and were pleasantly spoiled by us, crept deep into our hearts. Too intense for words. We will visit there again with laughter.

Cozy, modern unit with everything you need. Will definitely visit again. Only 2 points that bothered: First, we had trouble finding the place, the GPS coordinates as well as Google Maps did not help us to get to the lodge. We could not get hold of the owner because the mobile of the contact number given to us was switched off (the owner explained to me) but as a hotelier yourself you must have a reliable contact number to contact guests can stand as we desired. After almost 45 minutes of driving around, we went to the shop in Marloth to ask for help to get to the street in which the lodge is. Arriving at the lodge it took another 15 minutes to wait for someone to help us. One of the other cottages' people came back from their drive and was able to give us an alternative number to reach the owners. Second, please check the shower water - you really have to struggle to get the right temperature to shower, because it's either too hot or too cold.

Bushbucks and night monkeys come to visit in the evening. There are a lot of wild animals in Marloth Park, it is advisable not to walk around at dusk, at dawn or in the dark. Doringpoort does not miss anything. Go relax there!

It's a lovely quiet place close to the Kruger. The friendly hostess and host take care of their guests' needs. The WiFi is pretty weak, but that's not why people travel here. The apartment was clean with everything you need. The place is quiet and very safe, and there is also a carport for your car. The wild animals (giraffe, ostrich and wildebeest) create a unique atmosphere. The local shops also have everything one might have forgotten at home.

From arrival to departure time was one wonderfully relaxed 6 days. And more friendly and always available owners than Heystek and Amanda you will look far to find. Doringpoort is impeccably maintained. The chalet was fully equipped with everything you need, as well as a lovely braai area and seats. Then there is another splash pool also at each unit which was spotless (in winter) and in the evening when the sun goes down the kudus, zebras, giraffes and warthogs come so close you can literally touch them. Not to mention the Crocodile River and Kruger's border wire which is a 2 minute walk away where you can enjoy sundowners on benches above the river, with the wildlife in the river an added bonus! And only a 20-minute drive to the Kruger's Crocodile Bridge gate. Heavens - thank you Heystek and Amanda, you will definitely see us again!

When we struggled to find the place and later realized the directions on the road map we were sent were wrong and my meter was boiling at 200 degrees and the heat also wanted to hit another blow, I thought here comes a thing with this getaway. Nobody wants to get lost at 18:00 in the evening in a part of Africa baby the Mozambican border. But great was my surprise when we arrived at the place with the owners as our GPS. One big picnic basket full of love found us at their home and then everything was forgiven and forgotten and the silence in the middle of the forest and their beautiful two children and the old housekeeper Nora made it a getaway that we will definitely visit again . 5/5.

What can be improved is: Television in the unit - the price for the unit is the same as the other units but the others do have television in the unit. The queen-size bed is nice but it takes up a bit of extra space so that on one side there is no table or cabinet next to the bed at all and the floor lamp and curtain in the middle are a bit in the way of putting something else there. farm. The curtain that hangs in the middle is really superfluous, just a decoration, and in the way of the person sleeping on that side of the bed. The weather was nice and we spent most of the time outside on the porch during the day. If the weather is bad, at least one more chair inside will be needed, a small table with two chairs inside can also help if more time is spent indoors. The curtain on the wall on the west side should be able to slide open for more light. The streets in Marlothpark are rotten and the local "municipality" doesn't seem to pay any attention to it. This puts people with "lower" cars off the tarmac, the "path" along the wire is turning into a 4x4 route which may discourage other people from using it. There was not enough information about where possible wet laundry/towels could be hung, an emergency line was strung at the car park but this is probably not the best position.

I was very well received and the house was clean and well-kept. No furniture or decorations in the house were neglected and the atmosphere was definitely classy. I would have stayed in Kremetart, but because it was being worked on, I was placed in Kameeldoring. I have stayed in Marloth before and this accommodation in Doringpoort, more specifically Kameeldoring was definitely the better place. Since I was alone, I was regularly contacted by Amanda and Heystek to make sure I was safe.

This place is in the heart of Marloth Park. What a loop court when one arrives there. You will find far friendlier and more helpful hospitality. For someone in the overnight and accommodation world, it was a very special and a perfect accommodation for an overnight stay or even a place to stay for a holiday week. Would recommend anytime and use again myself.

Good value for money, premises really well looked after, all facilities up to standard, just close enough to river, the footpath is only 150m down the road. Very friendly host and hostess. We even took out late afternoon for a "sunset drive" along the Kruger's border wire. Furthermore, everything from the braai facilities to the swimming pool was tip top for us. 10 out of 10.

Also appreciate the fact that Amanda recommended that we move into the larger self-catering house rather than one of the smaller units. Many thanks also for the "Drunken Peaches" unfortunately forgot the rest in the fridge. Amanda, just a little bit of advice, it would be good for you to perhaps go through the units yourself and do an "inspection" after your maids have finished cleaning.

From the get go Heystek and Amanda did everything they could to make our stay in Doringpoort 1621 as pleasant as possible. We asked for another unit and that was sorted out in a jiffy. The host and hostess personally welcomed us with ice-cold refreshments afer a long, warm day in the Kruger park. No problem collecting the keys from security. The accommodation provided in all our needs and was clean and very neat. Went to a lot of trouble to ensure security. Amanda prepared a great breakfast which was included in the rates. Some of the most delicious venison sausages you could eat in the Lowveld. I would like to challenge the presenters of Die Groot Ontbyt to visit Doornpoort 1621 to see what a "GROOT ontbyt" really looks like. This jewel in Marloth Park will always be our top choice when we visit. It's within walking distance from the river and it's a bird-watching paradise. I have some food limitations and that was taken in mind, everyone's food was prepared thoughtfully. The atmosphere is nice and peaceful. There was a three year old girl in the group and she felt very welcome. They shared the information about the area with us. We will definitely be back for another visit.

They made a lot of effort to make us feel at home. Very nice woodland atmosphere, quiet and peaceful. The amenities outside are top notch. We had a great time. Wonderful host and hostess who go out of their way to make you feel at home. Peaceful woodland atmosphere with animals that graze right here in front of you. Can go for a nice walk in a safe environment. Wildlife watching along the river very good. Wildlife park access 20 minutes away.

Would highly recommend this B&B as the hosts, food and accommodation was excellent. Amanda and Hystek were very gracious hosts and catered to our needs as requested. Lovely pot of tea on arrival and then an impromptu trip around the Marloth Estate. We asked for supper to be prepared, which was lovingly prepared by Amanda. Green Room was clean and comfortable. Evening spent under the stars at the Boma sipping Irish & Frangelico coffees and watching the bushbaby. Great breakfast was prepared.

Soon after arriving we felt like old friends. We settled in quickly and Heystek and Amanda immediately made us feel at home. Our children were also immediately part of the house. The other guests were also very friendly and we had a great time together. The location is quieter and more in the woods than other destinations in Marloth Park, so it's an ideal getaway. Grandfather's little truck was also an experience, with Heystek's knowledge of the animals and birds a great asset.

Amanda and Heystek are such fantastic people, we were welcomed with love and immediately felt at home. The food was heavenly, real peasant food. They really went out of their way for us. We will visit there again anytime!

Doringpoort: Lemoentjiedoring 1621 Self-catering Accommodation offers a free-standing chalet situated nestled in the unspoiled bush near the southern tip of the Kruger National Park in Marloth Park. It has its own unique atmosphere with all the luxuries to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay in the bush.

The chalet has its own private access. It is a modern unit equipped with a queen-size bed and en-suite with a shower, basin and toilet. Air-conditioning, a fan, Wi-Fi and a TV with the stay Essential DStv package. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen and is ideal for 2 persons.

There is a private under roof braai and access to a communal splash pool and braai area. Under the roof of street parking. No access to the Lodge. Please enquire about our breakfast options at an additional cost.

Guests can use their own high clearance vehicle for game drives. Walks, running and mountain bikes are allowed. Marloth has his own shopping centre, small but has all guests daily stuff. Crocodile Bridge gate is only 20 km away.
