We had a nice stay. Just two things to look at. The pool area needs some attention as does the table tennis table and pool table. The indoor grill also didn't work and was boarded up.

Really was a good weekend away. Just a small problem, Eagle's Nest can maybe improve and get wifi and sports channels in the chalets. It was a bit of a damper. Could not relax with the Springboks game non-existent.
Eagle's Nest is our number 1 choice for accommodation on the Garden Route. The accommodation is always clean and has everything you need for your comfort. Lovely view, wherever you look. Service is great and everyone is friendly. Would highly recommend it.

We are excited about the discovery of this gem! Fantastic view. Everything you need and more. Even with the delivery of our luggage, the friendly staff were helpful. The little church was a highlight. It was wonderful to be able to start my day there early in the morning. We'll see you again soon!
We enjoyed the visit, but the indoor heated pool that is advertised is not heated and you only smelled chlorine on Friday evening. Because of the water, 1 of our kids got a rash.
Always enjoy the beautiful scenery and the tranquility. If you want a peaceful and relaxing break away, Eagle's Nest is the place to be.
Note: We booked the place for 6 people. But unfortunately there were only 4 chairs, 4 place mats, 4 steak knives. The wifi was the biggest disappointment because we didn't get any wifi reception. Other than the above, I will definitely visit there again.
It is located in a lovely area and was very peaceful and quiet. However, there are some things that can be improved on that have already been mentioned to management to pay attention to. This includes general repairs within the units. The furniture, linen and curtains in the units are very old and may be considered to be upgraded with time. But the mattresses were very comfortable. The fridge didn't cool properly either and even if it wasn't load shedding, the fridge was a tiny bit cooler than room temperature. The freezer was 100%, but unfortunately not the fridge. Other recommendations will include: better load shedding alternatives (eg a gas stove and boiler). Improvements to game room (pool tables are crooked and the sticks are broken with no chalk and incomplete balls). Indoor pool is not heated, but only temperature controlled. There is potential for better play area facilities with a larger climbing frame away from the road where cars travel. It would be lovely to have a kiosk available for things like milk, fire lighters, soft drinks etc. The indoor braai at unit 3 was closed and a weber was offered as an alternative. We didn't really want to braai with charcoal and ended up braaiing for an afternoon at another public braai area near Knysna. This was not accurately communicated in the photos.

Kids' activities were limited. The unit requires some maintenance and drains are clogged. Power was a challenge on the last day. (External challenges). The unit's furniture and interior were stuffy and aged. The indoor braai was replaced with a Weber which did not function that well especially during rainy days. As a stay-over and travel spot it was sufficient, but we expected more. The views are great and the place has a lot of potential to do better.
The hospitality of the supervisors and the employers was very impressive. The facilities are good and the place very good view of the lake. It's really good value for money.

It was good for relaxation but children did not enjoy because they could not connect to the WiFi. but otherwise no complaints.
Eagle's Nest is now my favorite accommodation in South Africa. Perfectly located in Sedgefield, with George and Wilderness to the West and Plettenberg Bay and Knysna to the East. What more could one want. The scenery is indescribable and the accommodation fantastic. Our unit was perfect, spotless and very comfortable. It contains everything one needs. I highly recommend Eagle's Nest and can't wait for my next vacation there. Thanks to Maryna and her team. You guys are 5 star!
We had such an amazing stay and absolutely loved the facilities with the park, pool and games room. We did early morning walks, greeting the animals and horses along the way and enjoyed some yoga with a view. The place is very central to Sedgefield, Wilderness, Hoekwil, The Lakes, beaches, etc. So we had a ball exploring every day. We drove through the farms and forest and found a ziplining place called Acrobranch Treetop Adventures, which is literally next door. They have an amazing bakery, some craft shops, a German deli and we met some local mischievous monkeys too. We had our 2 dogs along wherever we went and found a cute pet-friendly restaurant in Wilderness. Not all the beaches are dog friendly, but we found the municipal outline which indicated which beaches to go to.
Will come stay again in the future.

We were there in the winter and the unit was uncomfortably cold, with no carpet on the cold living room tiles. No heater or electric blanket on the bed. The facilities are basic. We enjoyed the indoor barbecue.
Staff were friendly and provided good service. Unit is beautifully clean and had a beautiful view.

We were 5 adults and 1 of us had to sleep in the front room the reservation was for 5 adults but unfortunately there were only 2 rooms. At the barbeque area there was a water leak because the person barbecuing was wet. The unit next door was bigger than the 1 where we were at home.
The place does not have a welcoming aura about it. It's all brown and drab and the furnishings are drab and uncomfortable.
I went on vacation for 2 weeks and stayed at 7 different places. This was by far the most expensive of them all, but the oldest. No WiFi, Netflix, or DSTV which I have had at all the other places. No coffee, sugar etc. which we had at all the other self-catering places. Very disappointing. Curtains have holes in them and it's just not up to standard. The ceiling fan makes a terrible noise and the drain in the kitchen sink is rotten.
A wonderful view, not to far from amenities and the beach. Hostess was warm and welcoming and attended to us efficiently.
Will definitely be back for another holiday, it is very central to Sedgefield and a few kilometers out of Knysna but the drive to Knysna was breathtaking a very beautiful. Eagles nest is really a very nice place to come to rest and just enjoy the view and the family enjoyed it very much as well. I would also say it is a good thing that Wi-Fi is not in the chalets as the family got to spend more time together instead of being on their phones. Also with its pet-friendly policy, our maltese got to go on holiday with us for the 1st time. Would definitely recommend Eagles Nest to everybody. Already got friends to go to Eagles Nest.

It was a piece of heaven. Thank you for making it affordable for ordinary people to live in luxury. Everything was perfect. The view is from another world.
All cottages have an indoor braai area, which we did not expect and we disliked the braai smell (others may like it!) The drain in the shower and kitchen were both blocked and drained slowly. The grounds and view however were gorgeous.
It was really a struggle for me and my 2 teenagers because restrictions prevented us from using some of the facilities. We enjoyed a unit with a hot tub and a view that spoke volumes. Thank you very much, we appreciate your effort.
There are a few things to pay attention to. The toaster's power kicks in. There is only 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 days and the hand shower by the bath is faulty and leaking.

We were there for our wedding anniversary, staying in the honeymoon suite. The jacuzzi was incredibly dirty with black algae oozing out. We also had to clean ourselves. Water pressure was also very bad. View was amazing.

We needed to travel around the Garden Route area for various meetings and found the location to be very convenient and easily accessible. The chalets are in need of some restoration: loose wooden window frames need replacing, walkways very uneven, cracked tile edges on steps, etc.
Our chalet was particularly spacious and had, among other things, Had a jacuzzi which got a big discount. Impressed with the quality of the furniture and mattresses. Had a great sleep. My wife and I have already planned a romantic getaway!

We had a lovely stay. Service was friendly and unit very neat.
In today's time with water savings and even hygiene, there should be showers rather than baths. First place I stay where no soap, shampoo, etc. is not available. Renewal needed here and there, for example sliding door in our suite does not work properly and the cover above is broken. Grill closed and replaced with Weber? I'm probably old fashioned, but prefer the ordinary. However, it's not a big issue, as long as we can grill.
We got there very late on the Friday night, the place is very nice and clean. Everything is so neat. The kids didn't even want to ride out with us for the day because they were enjoying themselves with the facilities the place offered. There was a swimming pool, table tennis, foosball table and more. Free WiFi for the teenagers. It's very peaceful, we came from the Cape, a bit away from the hustle and bustle. The people were very hospitable.

It has been a pleasure staying at Eagle's Nest. I would suggest though that a shower should be installed instead of the bath, especially in the 2 sleeper units as it has a Jacuzzi.

The resort on the property is so clean, awesome views and stunning bridal suite chapel, indoor pool, a reception hall ideal for wedding and catering. The 6-sleeper Charley's is awesome with views to the lake and mountains. My first time there with frends but I've never experienced this amount of beauty and friendly hospitality ever.

It was a lovely stopover with friends during our visit to the George old car show. It will also provide very nice accommodation during a holiday if one wants to explore the area.
It was a very long road trip to get to our destination... but it was well worth it. Me, my husband, our kids and my mom were very impressed with our choice of weekend stay. We would defnitely like to go back there anytime.
Beautiful with a panoramic view of the lake quiet place could hear the birds 'singing in the trees'. The accommodation very nice. Only one problem: the Jacuzzi jets did not work properly. Other than that 5 star.
