The tastefully furnished lodge comprises 4, air-conditioned bedrooms, and 3 en-suite bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, the second and third bedrooms each have a queen-size bed and the fourth bedroom has 2 single beds. The game reserve is approximately 4000 hectares along the Crocodile River and offers a vast network of private game-drive roads. For those you prefer a self-drive Malelane and Crocodile Bridge gates into the Kruger National Park are located 30 km from the lodge. There is a small shop from where one can buy firewood, ice, refreshments, snacks, beer, and wine. Please note that game drives need to be arranged in advance and are subject to availability.

Well equipped the house with and great layout. The game and sightings were wonderful.
Great and quick response from agent all the time. Domestic help did not work within given times as indicated and thus intruded on privacy. Loud noises on the ceiling, bath water wouldn't drain, boiler lid doesn't work properly. I would not recommend the 'steep' and slippery showers for the elderly, the pool leaked and needed to be filled every day. 2 rooms that face east only have light curtains and are therefore bright already early in the morning. We really enjoyed the braai area and dining table and the kitchen is well equipped.
The house is very beautiful - as in the photos. However, the master bedroom's air conditioner is terribly noisy and drips a lot of water on the bed, making it impossible to sleep there. Two of the rooms have separate outside entrances, which means you have to leave the house at night to use them - this doesn't work well with children. The advertisement reads: "The game reserve covers approximately 4000 hectares along the Crocodile River and offers a large network of private game drives for those who enjoy the self-drive option", but no self-drives were allowed. We planned to do self-drives, which was therefore not possible and the game drive we wanted to book was fully booked and therefore not available. For the price, the reserve was not as accessible for wildlife viewing as we expected. We will not go to Mjejane again.
The house location is next to a fence where we had elephants grazing in front of the patio. The game drives at Mjejane Game Reserve were excellent and we saw everything that was on our wish list. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing stay and will definitely be returning. How can you beat watching game wander by whilst drinking sundowners on the deck? Ideally located near our favourite spot of Crocodile Bridge. The house is stunning and communication was spot on. This is a holiday of a lifetime and yet priced that we can do it again. Our advice to other travelers is to book now.
Ebony is spacious and well-equipped. It is a perfect place to accommodate a group of friends.
The house was exceeded our expectations and I loved the warthogs coming to eat in the garden so close to us. Will definitely recommend Ebony House.

The house is modern and clean. The main house has 2 bedrooms and then there are two rooms with separate entrances. This worked well for our group. A recommendation from my side would be to add some items in the kitchen (such as salad and serving spoons and oven gloves). Also, bedside tables in the second bedroom (in the main house) would be great. Due to the nature of our group, we also found the fact that there aren't blinds in front of some of the shower and toilet windows a bit awkward (as the windows also aren't frosted). This, together with the fact that the bedrooms only have sheer curtains, meant that there wasn't much privacy for getting dressed; especially in the evenings. This may however just be a personal preference. We really enjoyed our time at Ebony House.

We really enjoyed our stay, aircons in rooms are to small, would suggest a 12000BTU the 9000BTU are too small and work too hard causing aircons to freeze up. Mosquito mesh in front of windows and sliding doors would be great, especially in the summer months for insects. Adding to this we enjoyed our stay very much.
Mjejane is a beautiful game reserve. We saw lions, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, various goats. Seen everything on the way to our stay. Accommodation is very safe. The house's architecture is very beautiful.
We had an amazing weekend with friends watching the animals from the pool. The house is spectacularly beautiful, giving a modern touch to the bush. We booked a game drive with bush camp and saw all of the Big 5 - do however make sure you book well in advance as we were not aware you are not allowed to drive with your own vehicle on the reserve to assist with roads getting too busy, this is a great idea but there are not enough vehicles to accommodate the whole lodge on busy weekends. We will definitely be booking our next weekend away at Ebony House.
