Although it is small, it has everything you need for a night or two's sleepover in Bloem. The room smelled delicious when we arrived. The uncle is very friendly and explains the circumstances very well. I would easily stay there again.

I was cautious at first because I picked up a few negative comments in the reviews - but after staying there myself, I can only say that the people who complain are just full of scumbags. It was clean and tidy and comfortable and you don't need anything more.
Stay was good except for the fact that there was no hot water for bathing and the TV had no SABC channels, only Netflix with poor WiFi reception. It would also be good if the accommodation could have a small kitchen so that guests don't have to wash their dirty dishes in the bathroom. Furthermore, everything was very convenient. EdelRose is recommended. We were kindly received by Marinus and he explained everything well. The apartment is spacious, well furnished and very tidy. However, we recommend that a dishcloth and drying cloth be made available in the kitchenette. The sponge is not good enough, especially for washing the smaller glasses. As far as the glasses go. The wine glasses are very pretty but impractical, especially for washing under the long stem of the sink. A few smaller (shorter) glasses than the three tall (beer) glasses would also be nice.

We slept well and everything in the apartment was clean, tidy and in its place. The host met us personally at the gate and informed us of what we had to do in all circumstances. Although the accommodation is located on a fairly busy street, the night's rest was undisturbed and peaceful.
The unit is very well equipped. The reception is friendly and hospitable and the accommodation offers value for money. Unfortunately, the unit was not very clean upon arrival, including the cutlery and bedding. The beds also do not have 'flat sheets' under the blankets, which a guest takes for granted. The unit is also next to a busy street which can get noisy. However, it is ideal for overnight stays.

There is only a drywall between the room and the main house and you can hear everything next door. The bathroom windows are barely covered and the people from the main house were sitting outside the bathroom windows all night.
The place is ok, the bedding is ok, but as you open the door the smell isn't nice. I like a fresh, clean smell. Curtains were full of dust which aggravated my allergies and the two used soaps in the shower didn't impress me. As a guesthouse owner myself I was disappointed. The Wi-Fi password is supplied incorrectly - all in capitals and spaces where there shouldn't be.
In spite of the above the stay was dreadful with virtually no hot water, there was a slow flow of reasonably warm (not hot) water in the middle of the day. The owner blamed it on solar heating but apart from the first day, there was full sun the entire day.
The place to stay was dirty in the first place. The place needs urgent attention. No hot water on the coldest night in winter. Bathroom door broken. Not hygienic at all. Place is not cleaned beforehand. Old bloody patch from previous guests in shower. Bedding not clean at all. Unacceptable. Would not recommend at all. Had to move accommodation to another place.
Too many small problems and after a day of long travel one expects a few basic things which were not in place.
Sidewalk strewn with litter. Shower and kitchen rotten dirty. The place is falling apart! Photos are deceiving. I am so sorry I stayed there. People, stay away. See, that's a shame!
