32 guests' feedbackStay was lovely. However, the apartment could do with a bit of sprucing up. The apartment was clean, but we did have dust behind the couch, bird poo on the balcony and some ants in the fridge. Our bedroom had some bedside lights stored in the cupboards, not on the bedside table, and the hangers were left on the floor of the cupboard, not hanging up. These are just little things, but they do contribute to the overall stay. I have stayed in other units in Eden On The Bay before and will check those first before I rebook this specific apartment. My host also asked if I could collect the key from her house, a few km away. I was fine to do it, but it could have been more convenient to collect them at Eden On The Bay.
One thing i would like to be attended to is the cleaning of the unit. The curtain rails were very dusty. The top of the bedroom cupboards, and the window sills of the top/high windpws are even worse than the curtain rails. We were also asked to pay another R250 for cleaning, when i had paid for the cleaning when paying for my booking. I did refuse to pay the extra R250. The manager then tells me that she sees their policy hadn't been updated with Lekkeslaap. Considering that the cleaning wasnt 100% up to scratch, in my opinion, being charged R450 for cleaning was a bit of a shock. Thankfully, i wasnt letting go and put my foot down about the extra R250.
When we arrived, the lady who handles the reservations was not aware that we had booked until 22-03-22. On Saturday (19th) and Sunday (20th) there was a lady who wanted to know if we had checked out yet. The beds' mattresses are not up to standard. The quilt (which is over the bed) has burn marks on it. The towel rail above the bath is loose. It may not be my place to mention it, but it seems to me that people are using the penthouse without the owner's knowledge.
We enjoyed our stay. It was beautiful, the scenery was amazing.

2 single "bunkbeds" not king size. Mattress and pillows need attention. Location good. Noise on roof and bathroom fan doesn't turn off, noise all night. Bedding old.
Many thanks to Liz for the nice visit at Eden on the Bay Penthouse 217. The place was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It is walking distance from shops and places to eat which was very convenient for us. Very peaceful atmosphere. Will definitely visit there again.
I would recommend any person to go and stay there. It is value for money. Well located, everyone is friendly and knows what they are doing. May you receive many visitors after the illness and do good business because you can.
This is a really nice place to stay that is close to the sea and any shops you need.
The unit was very clean and it was exactly what we wanted for such a short time.
Only complaint: The TV could have been checked and set beforehand as we couldn't get the TV's Netflix set.
It was heavenly. A nice getaway with everything you need.
The place is not equipped with all the necessities in the kitchen such as lids for the pans, there is no grater, bowls or tablecloth. The mop is broken and no bucket so you can't wash the floor. No kick for cattle. Stove is really not user friendly. The living room sofas are full of spots and put through. The supposed large double bed in the bedroom is two wooden three-quarter beds that have been moved side by side. For a couple sleeping next to each other, the beds split when you sleep. The bed is also too long because the space between the bed and the cupboards is so now you can't really open the cupboards. The cupboard doors open like a concertina and every time you pinch your fingers because of the little space. The lady said they come to clean every other day with fresh towels. Happened once. Then there was an unearthly sound that the roof made when the wind blew so we had little sleep. Brought it to their attention. They said they would look into it, we just need to calm down. I believe the place has potential but they will have to do more if they want to attract their decent guests back.
Eden on the bay has many units, and without a map it is very difficult to find your unit. There is no reception, no board with layout of units. After a long search we found the unit. And was not at all impressed with the cleanliness. Given that we are in a time of Covid I would have expected that there should be extra emphasis on sanitation. It was clear that no effort had been made to clean the place. There was hair in the bathroom and even in the bed. The balcony was full of pigeon droppings. Room is so small that the closet doors have to fold in 2 to be able to open. There is very little space around the bed, making it very difficult to move. The living room is quite large, and kitchen facilities are sufficient. TV is large with multimedia box for Netflix and many streaming services. Good internet and WiFi speed. The location is good and the view is nice on the beach. Overall a good setup, just a shame it's soured with poor house cleaning services.
Pleasant and comfortable accommodation close to the sea, shops and restaurants. Because of a misunderstanding, I didn't check in until the second day and they graciously let me stay an extra day for free. The facilities are more than adequate for a single person or couple. Had a great time in 217.
The unit is centrally located in Bloubergstrand with easy access to restaurants, a supermarket and the beach. Free parking is available, but there is no security control over cars that leave the premises. The unit is neat with a small balcony offering a partial beach and sea view. More care can be taken to clean the apartment before new guests arrive. The kitchen sink was slightly clogged and we had to use warm water to rinse off the greasiness in the sink. The trash lid was dirty and there was long hair on the bedding. There is a wonderful large bed in the bedroom which unfortunately makes your movement in the bedroom very difficult, especially if you wants access to the built-in cupboards. No DStv is available, although the information about the unit on the website does mention that this service is available. With the storm of Monday night, it sounded like some of roof plates were loose and water came into the sliding door. Our accommodation was pleasant, but would not consider this unit again.
Had a nice stay. Just one problem. The main bedroom is really cramped and uncomfortable for two people.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely time, location was just perfect. The lovely breeze from the sea to the balcony was to die for and the beautiful restaurants downstairs was just convenient for the days we were tired from experiencing the Cape. Definitely a place I will stay at everytime I visit Cape Town.

Very quaint place. Directions was just not clean, didnt' know where to go when we arrived. As mentioned above a daily cleaning service would have been wonderful.
The sliding door couldn't even lock. Bedroom too small and cramped - no fan or aircon - no place to do your hair (no mirror or table in the room).
The apartment is modern and very neat. It is very clean, has everything you'd need to make your holiday convenient. The walking distance from the beach, the shopping centre down the street and various restaurants nearby to choose from. The women who received us was friendly, punctual and I could contact her any time I needed to. It is a relaxing, quiet, private and safe place. Would stay there again any time. Value for money.
