Spacious room with kettle and fridge in the room and a large communal well-equipped kitchen with large fridge. Looks like a lovely boma where groups are sure to barbeque every night and have a great time. However, as overnight guests for a single evening, we ask that a delicious plate of lamb pie be prepared for us. Large packed fireplace with extra wood and a huge TV in the communal sitting/dining/kitchen area. We were the only guests and had the lodge plus our sleeping area to ourselves. Highly recommended, very friendly people.

We were 3 adults staying overnight at Elandsrus Country Lodge. The accommodation was beautiful, spacious and an oasis in the green landscape, with its leafy lawns and grand old trees. Many thanks to Patricia, the hostess, who went the extra mile for us.

What a fantastic experience! An oasis in the middle of the Karoo and such a peaceful escape from the city! We just wanted a place to sleep on the way to Cape Town, but the accommodation is so peaceful and beautiful, I would just spend a week there! You can choose whether you want to grill or cook yourself, and whether you want real delicious farm food - all very convenient.

Great dinner prepared by Patrys, drinks available, comfortable room with fridge, kettle, etc. Highly recommended for a relaxing night or two while travelling. In Jan 2023, electricity and WiFi was subject to loadshedding, but they have plans to install alternative energy sources soon.
Patrys is a very friendly host, and easy to communicate with before and during our stay. We were warmly welcomed and shown our lovely accommodation. We enjoyed a walk on the farm before enjoying a braai under the stars - it's lovely that this is one of the options on the menu. We will choose to stay here again!

Farm dog kept coming into our room, room door can't lock, other guests noisy and taking over braai area and house, food was below standard and expensive.

This was a really nice farm to stay over and rest during the long drive down to the Cape. Patrys and her family were welcoming and friendly. The food was great and it was lovely to walk around the farm in the late evening. Would definitely recommend! For those who sleep lightly a pair of earplugs might be necessary depending on the number of guests staying in the house, but this is not a big issue.

It was a wonderful experience for us as a family, we had so much fun with the other guests and Patrys and her team were great. Kids had fun playing and swimming so it was totally worth it.

The room was very nice and loved that bathroom had a bath and a shower. I personally did not enjoy the communal area where guests have to share space with strangers. But it will be a good place to stay for bigger groups of people that don't mind sharing a communal kitchen, TV room, and fireplace. We ate dinner there and it was lovely.

Well set out, the guests in the accommodation are away from the hosts and dining area. The communal lounge is enormous with all kitchen amenities provided. The portable pool is a clever use of space. Darts, croquet and pool table allow for recreation. Tortoises visit in the afternoon. The sunny and warm hostess juggles kitchen duties, hosting and being a mom with great aplomb. Why would you stopover anywhere else? Oh, and did I mention the lamb pie?

Clean rooms and linen, but outside area was very dirty and untidy. Attention to rooms only and not outside lounge area. No aircon. Dinner very basic (steak overdone).
Not quite for us. We are very private people and the room felt as if it was in someone’s house. Furthermore I would not recommend the room we stayed in as a family room for people with older children as the glass in the shower and toilet was still transparent and did not offer privacy.
Rooms a bit neglected, overall we were very disappointed and other places gave us more value for money. Rooms were more luxurious, beds (mattresses) were of better quality.

Elandsrus is always our first choice during our tour from Johannesburg to Cape Town and back. It is centrally located and on a peaceful farm where we feel safe. Patrys always makes us feel so welcome and the guest house is furnished with everything we need to make ourselves something for dinner and breakfast. There is also dinner and breakfast available if we would like. The farm is also a nice place to walk around after a long time of sitting and the fresh air is good for the soul. The open plan layout is comfortable and the house is child friendly. The bedrooms are beautifully done and feel first class. Everything is clean and tidy with beautiful decor. We always have fun and highly recommend it for family tour groups and hunting groups themselves.

A walk in the field and night under the stars was the perfect way to spend a holiday.
My problem with a lot of LekkeSlaap bookings is that a lot of accommodation is indicated as being in the town and when you get there it is outside the town. In this case it was 70 kilometers outside Murraysburg and because we had already paid in full I had to stay. Elandsrus actually falls under Three Sisters or Victoria West.
Elandsrus was charming, spacious, well equipped and provided a hearty tasty meal on request. Highly recommended.

This is my third stay at Elandsrus and it did not disappoint. The Lamb pie was up to it's normal high standard, preceded by amazing home made bread and jam! The hosts are amazing and the rooms are clean, the linen is crisp. Everything was great.

The room was very comfortably furnished and there was a possibility to braai yourself. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant which is recommendable. However, the cost for breakfast was too high for me and would have gotten more value for money in the nearest town. It was deliciously prepared and can't complain about the quality.
We found Elandsrus' location from Pretoria and the N1 very convenient. The guest unit is beautiful and fully equipped and the rooms are comfortable. We are worried about the communal area that is directly out of the room. The unit as a whole will actually work best if the entire 4 room setup is booked by 1 family of group. Little privacy. It was a very cold night and the heater in our room wasn't on, no electric blanket and the next morning we had no hot water. We had to continue travelling without showering. Very bad.

Patrys called while we were on our way to make sure we weren't unsure about routes and turns; and just to hear about dinner. Everything was comfortable and spotless. Dinner was delicious and the glass of Sauvignon Blanc was cold and mild after the hot Karoo day.
The accommodation was very good as an overnight stay. Everything was in place when we arrived. The room was spacious and neat. There is more than enough space for the kids to play after a long day on the road. Dinner was a hit with Kudu burgers for the kids and we had lovely lamb pie. Definitely a place to consider.

On arrival we got a friendly welcome and immediately felt at home. Our dinner was ready and was tastefully put together. The breakfast and dinner was excellent. We also like the farm atmosphere a lot. The décor in the spacious rooms were tasteful and the linen was fresh and clean. Attention could be given to the shower curtain which was broken and thus could only be closed halfway.
