I am very happy with my stay at Elephant Lodge. The only thing I was unhappy about was, they said they had coffee-making facilities and they gave a kettle and mugs, but no teaspoon. Except for that the place was clean, the admin lady was very friendly and I am happy.
I had a very nice stay. It was private, clean and the reception was very helpful and emails were answered promptly. Nice place to spend the night.
The room was neat and clean. Very friendly service and the lady at the office was very friendly and helpful.
There was a kettle and cups without coffee, sugar or milk. The toilet light was so dim that I couldn't do my hair or makeup. My sister had to turn on her flashlight. The neighbors screamed just after 12 o'clock until 2 o'clock, and I had to go to bed early for my race the next morning. They were drinking beer outside my room. I definitely felt unsafe.
There was no hot water in 3 of the 4 rooms we booked.
Place was clean. Bed very comfortable. Units need maintenance though.
No toilet paper in bathroom. All the lights don't work in rooms. Shower's water pressure very bad and we were very disappointed with our reception, not very helpful.
I will definitely go back again, but this time I will take my whole family with me, I just know they will enjoy it as much as we did. Thank you very much for everything.
The only problem was that the shower floor was not clean and the shower curtain only hung on 4 hooks.
The mattress we slept on was lovely. Now considering replacing my mattress at home. Enjoyed the shower head and didn't have to wait long for hot water. Can definitely recommend the place. Thank you very much.

We are very pleased with our stay at Elephant Lodge. We had a very good night's sleep and didn't want to get out of the comfy bed in the morning.
We came in late and left early. What we needed was there.
Rooms are very lit up due to the lights outside. Would help if there are curtains at the windows and not just at the glass doors.
Great value for money. Hosts were really helpful. Will definitely stay there again.
We were very happy with the stay. They were more than willing to help us as our group grew. They made an effort and brought extra beds into rooms. We had a good experience and I would definitely recommend it. Something I can mention, the check out time is a little early, would suggest they change it to something like 10:00.
The place is in a good area as it is not busy you get all the privacy you want.
The lodge was very clean and the staff was friendly.
Die staff is baie vriendelik, maar daar was te min parkeering, daar was glad nie warm water nie en ook nie n' telepel eens om jou koffie te roer mee nie. Daar was net lakens op die bed, niks komberse nie.
Elephant Lodge accommodation is more suited for a one night stay over for truck drivers, I won't recommend this to anyone who wants to go there as a family. We did not stay overnight and had to look for other accommodation as the place did not suit our needs. The photos on the internet and what it looks like in reality are two different places.
The showers is leaking a lot of water at the bottom when you showering. You can't really watch TV, because there is no network for the DStv.
Wanted to make coffee, had to wash the kettle first. It was full of dust, no spoon or stick to stir the coffee.

Reception area pathetic. No coffee, sugar or toilet paper in the room at arrival. Kitchen was dirty, no garbage bin, lights didn't work, chairs extremely dirty, had allergic reaction to cat in kitchen, door locks didn't work. The rooms were at least clean, although it was never cleaned during my stay. The bathroom has no door, the shower head malfunctioned, but the staff were friendly. "Self-catering" is a misrepresentation.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the owner was nice and very accommodating.
No reception area - got stopped by a lady just passed the gate with NO shoes. Room clean. Shower: no water pressure and dirty! Linen and towels clean. Very dark in area - no street lights. Location?
