Very neat and clean. Owners are tops.
It was fantastic. Just a pity we didn't see much wildlife. Friendly people who welcome you. I would go back anytime.
Very pleasant stay with excellent and accommodating host.
Very clean and tidy accommodation. Excellent hostess.
We felt so welcomed and enjoyed every single aspect of our stay.
Was very nice very hot aircon works and no load shedding. Lots of birds and wildlife at water.
Beautifully clean, friendly owners. Convenient location, go-to place.
We will definitely go back to Elephant Waterhole again. They have everything one needs. The site is picturesque, the ablution blocks are neat and clean and the people are hospitable and friendly. The wildlife is plentiful, we saw everything from baby goats to zebras and rhinos. Would recommend them anytime.
Very quiet and clean. We enjoyed it very much. Very good service and very nice, we will go back again.
We had an amazing break. Accommodation is clean and well kept. The staff are friendly. It is in the middle of the park so it is easy to travel during the day to view the animals.
Amazing, very friendly and safe.
Facilities and activities for any age. Trust in visitors with on-site purchases.
Thank you for your hospitality.
This was definitely a trip not to forget. A stone's throw away from the concrete jungle right into the heart of a Big 5 Game Reserve! The property is situated within the reserve, and with a driving permit we were able to trek the reserve every day excited to spot various wildlife. The accommodation was incredibly well priced, very neat, perfectly situated, and with hosts that make you feel like family, what more could you ask for?
The place is very clean and tidy and the owners are friendly and will make you feel so welcome.
Just would have expected a bigger pool. And cleaner. Would like more info from owners about animal viewing, where the best places are.
Friendly and pleasant people. Everything was very clean and tidy and we really enjoyed our stay. Very relaxed and safe atmosphere, with enough to keep the small team busy. They will definitely see us again soon!
Accommodation is neat and all facilities clean and well equipped.
We were warmly greeted by Nelmare, and she accommodated us for an early book in. The campsite was neat and bathrooms tidy. Overall a really great stay. I would personally look for something a bit more secluded from other campers for a more private experience as a couple but I would definitely suggest it for larger groups and families. Wonderfully affordable accommodation. Just remember that having accommodation in Dinokeng doesn't include the self drive costs per day and reservation fee. Which can add up! It would be beneficial if lodges in Dinokeng could accommodate or reduce those costs for the budget traveller.
It was peaceful and everything we expect from the Bosveld.
Had a great time. Thank you.
Room was sparkling clean on arrival, staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very spacious (Elephant unit), can definitely stay there for more than a few days. Shared kitchen is outside covered and well equipped, if you do need something, just ask. The fact that it is shared is really not an issue as all your cutlery, plates etc. stored in your unit. There are thorns here and there but not too bad, swimming pool very welcome in the warmth of the day, room does have air conditioning. It is incredibly peaceful, you can hear the animals and see the stars incredibly beautifully in the evening. It was more difficult to see the animals in the field because of the good rain which led to a lot of country grass. We did see a lot of animals over the two days, among others: waterbuck, blesbuck, zebra with cubs, kudus with cubs, giraffes with cubs, roe deer with cubs, blue wildebeest cubs, warthogs with cubs and swatback jackals. There were also exotic goats in a camp of one of the farmers that looked like black springbok, golden springbok, white springbok and black redbuck that we could stalk through the fence. The barbeque facilities were nice and we barbequed every night. The management can see if they can't make a better plan for when it rains. And also cleaning the braai. I would also like to see a fire pit in front of each unit, at least nothing as nice as an old log fire in the bush. As far as the self-drive game viewing goes, make sure you get your permit (1, 2 or 7 days) and map at the entrance (the map is great, you'll need it) and just pay your conservation fee at the same time. At least the roads are well maintained and indicated on the map, you will be able to spend hours in the forest. It's a very nice break once you understand how things work and start seeing the animals and start appreciating the forest!
Awesome place in a wonderful setting. Love the game reserve, definitely going back.
We had a great time, it was perfect for a quick getaway. It was clean and everything we needed was available.
We were a nice big group of people who went camping and hanging out at the lodge. Accommodation is clean and tidy and the campsite was pleasant and large enough for a group of guests. Pool was ideal for the hot days. Owners were very friendly and helpful. There is a kiosk with ice cream and wood etc. for if you need something. Will definitely book again.
Perfect if you want to get away from the city, but don't want to drive far.
The facility was great and the toilets clean. September is maybe a little dry and the camping site gets a little dusty. The main house made it feel a little like we were camping in someones back yard.
It is a very beautiful place that is safe. The owners make a lot of effort for the people who stay there and talk to the people as if they have known everyone for years. They make an effort to let you know where the wildlife is when they receive the information from the other people staying there. The place is very neat and clean. I would recommend the place to anyone and know they will enjoy their stay there. Many thanks to Nelmarie for the nice stay and for making us feel like family there.
Quiet atmosphere, particularly neat ablution facilities. Definitely going to camp there again!
Nelmarie and Wollie are wonderful hosts. We loved the accommodation and the facilities were brilliant, there is literally nothing I can complain about because everything was just so nice and convenient. Nelmarie, thank you for your kind help and smile and chat. Oom Wollie, thank you for the nice chat and sharing about the animals. We would go back to Elephant Waterhole anytime and suggest it to anyone should they need a getaway. Thank you very much.
Family (mother, father, children and grandchild) used the 3 rooms. Breathtaking with everything we could need. The owner Nelmarie is simply amazing. She goes out of her way and even booked our game drive on our behalf. We'll see you again soon.
Quiet, safe. Very neat. Would definitely recommend it.
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing time at Elephant Waterhole. Nelmare and Wollieare is an excellent hosts and hostess. The accommodation was excellent and nicely clean. The place is very well maintained. Roxy was a big treat for the kids. Can't wait until we have the opportunity to relax with you again.
Elephant Waterhole was a fantastic place to stay.
What a neat and beautiful place! The place is equipped with everything once might need.
Thanks for the amazing time. Very nice, neat and safe. Thank you.
We enjoyed the quiet Bushveld atmosphere, saw many animals.
Very nice and friendly people. Very calm.
Nelmarie and Wollie are wonderful people. Will definitely go to them again. Rooms very nice and tidy, kitchen has everything you need. Wollie even lent bikes to our grandchildren, thank you Wollie.
Friendly and pleasant people. Neat, nice and still and safe.
Owner is very hospitable and the place is tidy.
I can really recommend the destination, great pool.
Great weekend getaway. Value for money.
Very tidy and was a nice break. Would go back anytime. Thank you Nelmare and Wollie for your hospitality.
Was very pleasant and place was nice and clean, swimming pool was clear blue clean. The reception has wood, ice that you can purchase at a very reasonable price.
The road there is not good at all. You must drive a 4x2 vehicle to drive anywhere. There is not much for the older children to do. Can't walk at all barefoot or with pads, there are too many thorns. Place should definitely be shared as a group of people who know each other as everyone has to use the same kitchen. If you feel like doing nothing and just resting, this is definitely the place to go.
