Stay 3 nights, pay for 2. Valid for stays from 6 Nov 2024 until 30 Nov 2024.
The house is built on the radar station (which dates back to World War II) and therefore part of the house is dated. Towels are available for all rooms
On the upper level there is a double garage, a kitchen with a dishwasher, and a dining room with built-in braai facilities that leads out onto a balcony with an 8-seater picnic bench. There are also stunning sea views. The TV room has full DStv, a fireplace, sea views, another small balcony, a conversation pit and views of Table Mountain on a clear day. There is also a separate toilet and stairs that lead to the lower level bedrooms.
On the lower level there is a main bedroom with a king-size bed that can be converted into 2 single beds. The room also has an en-suite full bathroom with a shower and bath, cupboards, a balcony, sea views, and an electric blanket available in winter. The second bedroom has a double bed, an en-suite bathroom with a shower only, no sea views, a shelf but no cupboard, and an electric blanket available in winter. The third bedroom has a queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a shower only, a balcony, sea views, a cupboard, and an electric blanket available in winter. The fourth bedroom has 2 single beds, an en-suite bathroom with a shower only, an office desk, cupboards, no sea view, and please note that this room can only be accessed via a door from the main bedroom or from the outside of the house. The fifth room is a bunk-bed area that is ideal for children with bunk beds, a small window with a sea view, no bathroom, and a small shelf but no cupboard. Please note that this room is open to the passage on one side and only has a curtain to block it off from the passage.
There is also an outbuilding that comprises a laundry room outside the house with a tumble dryer and washing machine. Guests need to please request access upon arrival as it is normally locked.

15 guests' feedbackIt really was a weekend for the books. Sea-turning heaven was breathtaking and we will definitely visit again in the future.
Yes, very nice stay. Nice place.
The house is very neat and the view is beautiful over the sea. Very quiet neighborhood. Will definitely book See-wende Hemel again for a getaway.
Very special place to stay with rich history. Very comfortable with loads of space. Lock up garage with direct entry into the kitchen is definitely a plus. Powerful inverter system so you don't even know there is load shedding. Previous reviews have mentioned dirty windows. We found that all the windows were pretty clean except for the ones that are high and inaccessible. One can understand if it is not cleaned with every visit.
We had a nice stay, although the water and water pressure was a big problem. The water pressure was low to none and every time someone downstairs takes a shower/bath, the dishwasher stops washing and there is no water available in the kitchen. This was quite a big problem for us as one would like to be able to take a shower at the end of the day. The house cannot be advertised for 10 guests if even 2 guests cannot shower comfortably. Furthermore, one of the lower rooms was full of fleas and our child was terribly bitten by the fleas on the first night (more than 20 bites on his body). We had to move and spray the entire room with insecticide, after which I must have easily removed more than 100 fleas from the floor.
We booked for 5 nights but only stayed for one night. The house is in need of repairs. The patio is unsafe. The house is not spacious for 10 people to move around in. Very dissatisfied.
Marlo's service meant a lot, he himself gave us directions about an accident on the way there. The location of the house is truly exceptional and for us, strangers on Yzerfontein, watching the sea was an experience. The layout of the house made it easy for babies who needed to sleep and family members who visited around the long table. Tips: However, the contents of the crockery cupboard were disappointing with all the chipped mugs and "old" housewares. A few nice serving bowls and containers will give the guests the idea that the homeowner trusts and appreciates his guests. The cushions can also be renewed. Please see also that the shower in the left bedroom is ineffective. Thank you very much. Sea-turning Heaven see us again.
The house is perfectly located, walking distance from the beach, with the most beautiful view in all directions. The rooms were beautiful, clean and tidy. The back room was still under construction and smelled of paint and strong paraffin, but with the doors closed it didn't bother. The living area and porch are fantastic and the reading corner perfect.
Will definitely visit Seeing Heaven again. We enjoyed every aspect. Very neat, everything you need.
The location is fantastic. We enjoyed the stay very much. The entrance to the house is a bit uncomfortably steep. Large car or SUV will struggle to park in garage.
Enjoyed the stay - had all the utensils we needed and felt safe. Very close to the beach for nice walks.
The bathroom in the 2nd bedroom was unusable. I took a photo. The entrance to the house is extremely dangerous. I had 2 knee replacements and my daughter-in-law is pregnant. Thank goodness we did not fall there. Toilet's light didn't work. Outdoor umbrella was broken. Windows at sea are a problem, but I don't think this house's windows have been washed in months.
Only stayed one night, and was adequate for our purposes. 3 Rooms with each room its own bathroom. Well equipped kitchen.
Very nice views and the places is well kitted for a long weekend away. Ample space for a group of 6 to 8. All the basics was clean, but things like windows, braais and even the toilet bin wasn't cleaned. There were all sorts of wipes and things in our one bathroom bin. The inside braai had lots off old hubbly tobacco and an empty beer box with bird droppings. I ended up cleaning the ocean facing windows with a window cleaner I found in the garage. It looked like they just washed the one sliding door and none of the other windows or balcony doors. I felt this was very bad since we needed to pay a cleaning fee for 2 people staying 2 nights. The walls and roof are dirty. Good bit of mould in the bathroom. Some of the window handles and wood looks like you don't want to attempt to open it due to the condition. One window can barely close, so essentially you're sleeping with an open window with no burglar bars anywhere. I think it's a good house for a group that wants a short stay with a bit of space and ocean views - but don't expect a luxury, clean house.
