Our stay was lovely.
The place was smaller than I expected. There are no vents in the walls, so we had to turn on the fan every time we used the toilet and open all the windows. Our unit only had a fridge in it and I had to pay extra for it. There were no dishwashing facilities in the apartment.
Flamboyant Guesthouse was a very neat place to spend the night. One guest gets free WiFi. Unfortunately, these are basically the only positives I can share, but they don't outweigh the negatives. Yes, there is television, but you can basically only watch SABC channels. Located in Warmbad means that the summer temperatures rise above 30 degrees Celsius during the day. Instead of air conditioning, there was only a fan in the room we stayed in. What makes it even worse is the fact that there is no electrical assistance when there is load shedding. So the temperature in the room remains high, even at night, which means we didn't get much sleep because of the heat. I also have a personal reason that I am not willing to share.
Bed is comfortable and sleeps great. The guest house is clean and tidy with everything you need to spend the night.

It may be wise to arrive before dark if possible, as there are no street lights in the town.

We enjoyed staying at the self-catering annex the most. Because I was sleeping there, we liked it, and the guesthouse itself was so nice and beautiful, we enjoyed staying there.

The room's door faces right onto the other rooms and the window faces right onto the parking spaces, which therefore offers no privacy. The wall plug for the boiler does not work and the shower outlet is blocked.

Very good experience regarding the booking-in and customer service was very good and friendly. The room can do with an emergency light. Lovely guest house.
Whilst the unit was clean, the room did not meet the expectation created by the advertised photos- it was tucked away in a corner and very dark. The units are all closely spaced with communal social areas right outside your room door. These areas are available to all guests to use so you have very little privacy and it is also very noisy. On the night I spent at Flamboyant, other patrons of the guesthouse utilised the available communal benches and sat out drinking till well past midnight. While they were not excessively noisy, it is literally a meter outside the room door so one could hear every sound made.
It wasn't worth it to be there.
The shower head in the master bedroom needs to be replaced please. He hardly works at all.

We were received very kindly, and upgraded to a more expensive room without any extra costs. Our stay was very comfortable and our room nice and private from other guests. Will definitely visit them again.

Flamboyant guest house is conveniently located. Clean, tidy and everything you need. Joan is very friendly and helpful. We will visit again if we have to spend the night in the area again.
Was a little disappointed in the room, some of the power points didn't work. There was no sugar in the coffee and tea either.
Really no place to find peace, very funny also that R30 has to be paid to use gas for braai? The light above the bed's switch is too high, and also the wall plug next to the bed's switch, not near mirror or cabinet, usually wires are very short.
