7 guests' feedback1. The oven was very dirty and full of oil splashes. The oven pan was also dirty. 2. The master bedroom had an unpleasant smell. 3. The outside drain (sight drain) in the master bedroom stank. 4. At first we thought it was the cause of the smell in the room, but after 2 nights of sleep we realized it was the mattress. We could not open the windows at night because of the stench from the drain. 5. The cutlery, bowls and plates were dirty. I had to wash everything before we could use it. Very disappointed. One shower for 5 guests is too little, and there can actually be many more people sleeping. The outdoor shower was so dirty and full of leaves that it couldn't even be used. The house has enough cutlery and facilities with a nice braai room and dining table, but the unpleasant smells and dirty cutlery put a damper on the whole trip. We only slept 4 nights out of the 5 we paid for. The price per night is way too much compared to all the other places. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone at this point.
Bathrooms and house were clean. The beds slept well.
The house is beautiful, clean and has everything you need for a weekend or long holiday stay!! Will def be visiting again!!!.
We had a great time living at Flip Flops. The only problem is the bathroom window which has no curtain or blind. If a person takes a shower in the evening with the light on, people can see you through the window even if you are dressing or undressing.
Can not wait for my next stay at Flip Flops. It was very peaceful and the kids had a great time.
Very practical unit and location is good with walking distance from the sea nice tidal pool, close to walking trails, few km from Struisbaai beaches and harbour.
Everything was very neat and clean. Would love to have a dishwasher as an addition. Even if it is possible, it is not allowed to park a car behind the house. So car in the street. There are no burglar bars in front of windows or doors, so windows must be fully closed in summer when you are out or at night. I.e. no cool air from outside. A fan or two would also go a long way for heat.
