Had a peaceful night's rest with all amenities needed. The room was warm due to the western sun and the air conditioner came in handy. Fresh air in the room is a problem as all the windows are welded from the outside.

My wife and I slept over on the way from Kimberley to Pretoria after attending an event in Kimberley. The place is above standard. The decor and furnishings of the room are of high quality. The linen, room and furniture were clean and tidy. The room may have been a bit cold, but there were extra blankets and air conditioning for heat.
Appreciated that provision had been made for lighting with loadshedding.

No TV. Nothing to keep you busy in Bloemhof, because nothing offers to do. Sort is open and cold for winter.

We only stayed for one night on our way back to Gauteng and French Linen was perfect, very neat, clean and comfortably furnished. Very friendly welcome and will certainly stay again on the way to or back from the Cape.
We love you Edna! She is an absolute sweetheart. Edna is so proud of her establishment. The decor is stunning. Each room is individually furnished by darling Edna. Stylish, comfortable. The shower is notably large, stunning hot water and unforgettable memories. Definitely the place to stay on a trip down or through Bloemhof. Can unreservedly and highly recommend it.
We did go to their other guest house, Romantikus. It was a beautiful guest house and will book it again soon for a weekend visit. I love the house! Rooms are lovely big. 10 out of 10.

When we arrived there was no one to receive us. A guest had to call the manager/owner for us and they didn't even know about our arrival. My husband happened to come across the keys to our room so we could at least open and lock ourselves. We went to eat and I left my name and number on a piece of paper as the person I spoke to said they would stop by later. We slept really well and enjoyed the place. But the hostess never contacted us and blamed the website for not knowing about our arrival. It was not my first time using the website but I would recommend that all guesthouses contact a guest on the day of or the day before check-in via WhatsApp on sms just to introduce themselves.
Upon arrival, the hostess received kindly. The room was neat and nicely decorated. There is everything one needs. The hostess mentioned that the electric blankets were not yet available but that there were air conditioners to heat the room. There is no hostess/gentleman who lives on the premises, I would advise that it is put in me to sort out small problems such as opening and closing the gate for guests. There was also a problem with the geyser and no one was on site to sort it out. I think it's fairly new accommodation but with time all the little things will be put in place.
The rooms had such a very musty smell, not very pleasant and it smelled like it was soaking into the pillows. For the next guests they might put a blackout curtain in the bathrooms. It's quite awkward when you undress in the bathroom and someone walks by and can see if the light is on. We just showered with a light off. But then you can't close the bathroom door either, otherwise it's too dark. Other than that, the stay was nice.
