Everything was 100%, except my shower pressure was very low.
You can improve your cutlery and crockery. I struggled to cook pap. Tupperware to put food in the fridge is needed. It doesn't have to be an expensive one. A couch will also do better than chairs.
I enjoyed my stay at Gardens Centre Holiday Apartments and could recommend it to other future visitors, either for family or business.
Parking, security and good location.
Added bonus was that the power stays on during load shedding.
The place was clean, security was helpful and friendly and the person assisting me during my stay. Thank you, can recommend the place to anyone.
Ample space, everything you need and safe parking. An air conditioner would have been a bonus. Will use the accommodation again.
Really a very pleasant accommodation option, min mall makes it great.
See stars.
Place of residence that stood still in time. Kitchen and bathroom from the 70s. No air cooling with gale force winds if you open the windows. Apartment faces west and is very warm. Didn't like the place at all on the first day, but it grows on you. Very clean and safe. Bathroom stank of cigarette smoke.
Due to the mattress, we had a bad night's sleep in room 202. I was not happy when it came to sleep, but I had already paid for it.
The place is well located.
We didn't really want to go out in the evening so TV and WiFi would have made life easier.
Only recommendation is that fans are installed or provided. Unit was just very hot.
No fan. No coffee. Traffic noise all night.
Nothing to tell. Room felt cold.
The hallway smelled like cigarette smoke, had to report it twice. No cleaners are sent on weekends to make beds or wash dishes. The corridors are very old fashioned and do not match the room decor at all. Definitely demolish the place. There is no indication of where the stairs are and only two of the three lifts are in working condition. There is only someone at reception at certain times so nothing can be found or reported in the evening.
Very friendly welcome. Poor Wi-Fi, windows taped with cello tape. No towel rail. No cleaning products, broom or dishcloth. No coffee, sugar or tea. Cockroaches in bath.
That stove was used on Noah's Ark. Power plugs are very few.
I enjoy my stay, we will definitely book again.
The unit was very neat and clean with the most beautiful view of Table Mountain. Garden Center Holiday Apartments' location is perfect if you want to be close to everything and explore the city.

Everything was close because we stayed in the mall, room was always cleaned very nicely. Service was good.
It would be very nice to have a section for smokers....because my husband suffered a lot. Thank you very much Lekkeslaap and Garden center holiday apartments.
Als was good.
Disappointed in the apartment, dirty marks on carpet and kitchen needs a good scrub (dirt). All that was clean and tidy was the bed.
We were surprised by the condition of the accommodation, what is shown in the photos is not at all what you get. The kitchen was dirty and the room had a horrible smell. We were also not at all comfortable leaving our valuables in the room as the security is poor (only a wooden door with a simple lock, no safe in the room). We only stayed there one of the 3 nights we booked and then decided to look for other accommodation the next morning. In the process we also lost money.
No complaints about apartment. Lifts are a frustration, there was only one that worked and it causes long waits.
Thank you for your overall services. I enjoyed my stay in Gardens. I can advice management to notify future guests about how to access the parking for guests on the roof top with clear markings and maybe divide parking specifically for guests. All the bathrooms must have their own bath plugs as it was a problem for when I had to take a bath. Thank you.
No hot water in bath or shower - totally unacceptable. No running water at sink's hot tap. Front door does not lock from the inside. No WiFi password. Gate was locked on arrival after dinner - had to struggle to get into complex. Would stay there again due to location, but only in a better unit.
Nice rooms, very good cleaning service. Luxury apartment only on level 5, there are 20 levels. A lot of apartments are private owners. I had to move rooms because the private owner above was smoking weed. My second room the TV had bad signal and road was very noisy. You definitely need earplugs to sleep as you can hear the lift moving up and down, got stuck on 2 of the lifts and the 3rd lift is not working. they have no hairdryers in the room. Thee website says WIFI access but doesn't mentioned you have to pay for it. My colleague had to switch rooms cause her toilet was blocked. These are the "newly renovated luxury apartments".
Very poor customer service. No proper shower, no aircon. It's was not value for the money we paid.
Garden Center was the perfect position to enjoy the Cape. Table Mountain and V&A are easily accessible. The shopping center is beautiful and having Woolworths, Clicks, PicknPay and eateries in the same building was fantastic! We will definitely stay there again.
Very neat and peaceful environment. Clean, comfortable beds to sleep on. Was really worth it.
Good location and safe, but unit requires maintenance.
Very cute place, would definitely recommend it to others. Nice central and everything you need is walking distance. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The apartment itself was pretty neat and well furnished. We stayed 2 nights on different dates and had a view of the mountain and the city, both were very nice. The problem came in 1st at the elevator. It works then and sometimes. Luckily, upon our arrival, I decided to stay when my husband went to collect our luggage. Because when he came back, the elevators weren't working and someone was still stuck there too. He had to climb 7 floors! 1 of the 3 elevators does not work permanently and we used the "freight" elevator most of the time because it was the most reliable of the 2 that were left. The other elevator tried to cut you in half on the way in because the door just slammed shut and it was also the one most people got stuck in. You must also "validate" the parking ticket at the center's parking agent. So you have to walk and search. If I couldn't speak Afr or Eng I would have gotten lost.
The accommodation is ideal and centrally located. The rooms are quite small if you travel with children and have to put in an extra bed/mattress. The facilities are very outdated, from the elevators to the bathrooms. The kitchen is practically unusable with a very old oven and one power plug right above the sink facilities. A small fridge is available. The ventilation is poor, although one can open the sliding windows, but with no draft, except if one also opens the door to the corridor.
They have a problem with the elevator that does not stop on all floors if it goes off. Injured my knee because of climbing the stairs. There's also a permanent sour smell in the building because of dirty mops I think. My room had a very bad smell. You also don't have a feeling of safety in the evening because the centre closes the side entrance and you have to use the main entrance where all of the taxis wait.
Central location and strongly recommended.
We had a very friendly reception. This place is very neat and clean. The location is perfect. Would stay here again.
The most centrally located self-catering accommodation in Cape Town. Secure undercover parking is available with a Woolworths and P&P and many more shops in the building. Can't get better for the price.
The elevator on the 14th floor took a particularly long time to arrive. I don't know if there was a mistake or if it was just a very busy day.
We arrived before check in to check the place and were received a warm welcome. We had initially booked 3 rooms for 8 adults, 2 of those slept 3 but when we checked in we were allocated 4 rooms sleeping 2 each at no extra cost. The service is spectacular because 1 of our rooms facing Table mountain had a window that kept being opened by strong wind. We asked to be moved to another room & it was done without hesitation. This is the best establishment to stay in when in Cape Town. When I come again I'll stay there.
The staff were very friendly and the place was neat. There are enough shops in the complex that make the stay just more comfortable. I travel to Cape Town a lot but it was the first time I've stayed here. I will definitely stay there again.
Friendly personnel, excellent location, clean and spacious rooms, excellent view of Table Mountain, close to shops and restaurants!
Conference attended at the Waterfront. Gardens Center Holiday Apartments are just a stone's throw away and are affordable.
We were stuck in the elevator upon arrival for about an hour and a half. Although there was a quick response when we pressed the panic button, we waited about half an hour for technicians to come out and there was no one from the staff or any services to meet us to make sure we were all safe and well not. It was not a pleasant experience and we were distressed. My sister almost passed out when we got out but we were on our own. The next day when I mentioned it at reception the lady just laughed and said that it happens often and that she and other staff have also been stuck and that it is not that bad. Well, unfortunately I disagree as it was traumatic for us and is a safety and health risk. I feel that the lady did not act right to take it for granted and no one inquired about our well being and was there. We wanted to cancel and look for another place to stay, but since it was already late and we were all very tired and it was rush hour, we decided to stay.
Star-rating is a bit conservative - I give them 10 out of 10!
Accommodation was comfortable and safe. Close to the MyCiti bus service and above a mall.
Staff friendly and helpful. Only complaint: no WiFi in apartments. Free WiFi however in the shopping centre.
A fan or air conditioner would be nice at this time of year. Maybe it would be a good idea to put coffee/tea/sugar and milk in apartment. I realize that this is self-catering, but if someone flies, you only bring the essentials with you and this definitely does not include coffee/tea. The bed is very comfortable and the apartment is comfortable.
Security gates are a necessity for every apartment. We felt very unsafe during the night. The front door of the apartment had only 1 very poor sliding door and only 1 key that fit very loosely in the lock.
All that counts in Gardens Centre's favor is the view of Table Mountain and its location. There is no cooling of any type and if you sleep with the windows open, the noise from the street bothers you. Everything is very shabby and very old. The cabinets' wood is very old and bent. We decided to leave our clothes in our bags instead. The bathtub is very old and painted and shelled some time ago. The stove would do very well at an antique auction. When you walk in the door, you feel completely taken aback. The people at reception are very friendly and helpful and the choice of places to eat in the center is a plus. There is covered parking which is monitored by cameras.
This place is expensive, with no WiFi, no breakfast, no shuttle. You just pay for a shelter. According to me there is nothing special about it. You get charged because your window views Table Mountain, this is robbery because you can view table mountain anywhere in Cape Town.
The apartment was very neat and clean. The service was friendly, prompt and helpful. The location is excellent! I will definitely stay there again.
Ideal place for just an overnight stay to enjoy the Cape.
I would like to comment on the layout of their kitchennete. It was not of the best quality and could be better. It really wasn't to my satisfaction. Otherwise the bathroom, bed and view was fantastic. I will go again, but to a better apartment.
The rooms need to be renovated and the furniture needs to be replaced. It looks too old, especially the kitchen. I would recommend air conditioners and more electrical plugs.
The room furnishings do not at all reflect what appears in the photos. The kitchen equipment is stone cold and rusty and the oven is a safety risk. The one power plug was corroded and falling apart, but it was replaced very quickly after we reported it. The bath and shower are old and run down. Using the house bins was always a risk, because you never knew if the doors would open or not.
