We had a lovely stay at Die Ou Stoor. This farm house is peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed bird watching in the garden and spent the evening around the fire boma. The house is clean and very well equipped. We really loved the decor and the personal touches in Die Ou Stoor. It's worth mentioning that you should take your own water. While they advised we could drink the water after allowing it to run for a little while, we found the water still came out brown and didn't want to risk it.
The road to Die Ou Stoor is gravel and long, however, the house makes up for it. The house was beautiful, and fully equipped, and nice to have a break from city life.
We can recommend Die Ou Stoor at any time, the premises were very neat, clean and very well equipped. Mike the helper was very helpful and friendly as well as the owner who received us very well. However, the mobile phone reception there is very poor and WiFi might have helped a lot but one could live without it for a day or 2 - but for longer bookings I would say it might be highly recommendable. And an electric gate motor would also have helped a lot instead of getting out in the dark to push open the farm gate first, but apart from that the place was really very nice, beautiful and would recommend it anytime. There was a problem with one of the bathrooms' toilets that wouldn't flush and we also noticed that the fridge's rubbers don't seal well so the fridge doesn't keep its cold and then it leaks but overall it's not a problem at all not been a problem. Many, many thanks for the cute little place where we could really relax and enjoy the tranquility of the forest - we will definitely come again.
Can't find any fault except that we struggled with hot water because there were so many people. But would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful place with wonderful service from all the staff on duty.
The accommodation was airy and tastefully decorated. Our hosts were most gracious and welcoming. People who would like to get away from the rat race will thoroughly enjoy this haven. There is no TV or radio and it makes you enjoy nature and family or friends. Games are available to be played. A fire pit is great to sit around and relax. Walks along pathways enable one to view wildlife on the farm.
The photos on the website are a true refection of this beautiful gem of a guesthouse. Clean, well equipped and the most beautiful decor and super good assistance from the personnel. I will over and over again recommend Die Ou Stoor to all my friends, the only negative point I need to raise is the distance advertised on the website. We had to travel almost 160 km everyday in and out to Sun City for an event we were taking part in. The website advertised the guesthouse as 35 to 40 km from Sun city. No person fly like a crow to a destination. Luckily the beautiful guesthouse and atmosphere made up for the km's we had to travel daily.
