No complaints. Except for the stairs, everything was 100%.
The beautiful house was very comfortable with everything we needed and has an incredibly beautiful view of the pond and golf course. I think because the house is rented out so much, it is not cleaned properly and attention could be paid to it.
Nice property, but needs some attention. We found the grounds/garden areas not very well maintained and the check-in at reception was not welcoming. Rooms were well decorated, more than sufficient fridge space, fresh, clean linen, comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms were modern and had plenty of hot water. Golfers paradise, but definitely not for fisherman. Dams are very muddy and awkward to fish as well as difficult to access in between trying to dodge the golf ball missiles flying at you.
Our family stayed in the Charles Smythe Cottage for 2 days. This is an absolutely stylish cottage with 4 comfortable rooms, each with its own bathroom. Everything you need is here (fully equipped kitchen and Weber). Nothing is more delicious than spending time next to the fireplace on cold evenings. Sufficient wood was also provided to us. Kids can enjoy cycling and there are cycling routes too, as well as trout fishing - we hardly ever saw the kids and it's definitely safe there. We can definitely recommend Gowrie Farm and will definitely stay here again.
A beautiful house for a self-catering holiday for a family. The house is equipped with everything we needed and the view is to dream of. We will definitely visit and recommend them again!
House requires urgent attention. Even though it is a great location with beautiful views, it is not worth R6500 a day. Especially during winter when you want to stay inside. We had to use the fireplaces 24/7 and the smell of smoke was everywhere in the end.
Had a lovely stay at KwaJabu with a large group of friends. Beautiful houses are very modern and have great views and lovely, friendly staff. Ever is the best at what he does!
