House was well rested. House is even better than the pictures on the web space. To a freezer. Sound of sea was soothing - never wanted to turn on a radio or TV. Sea view and coffee on the veranda was perfect for the soul. And so close to the sea. Rooms are spacious and large leather sofa was super comfortable for dream naps. Beds sleep wonderfully and pillows good quality. Can lie on one bed and look at sea, Enough blankets, power plugs/two point plugs. Even tap water was delicious, better than Coke. We are back with all our Cokes. The short old stretch of dirt road was definitely worth it to get to the gem of a home. Will definitely come to Groenhuisie again - excellent. Elmarie definitely made sure we had everything we needed. Absolutely great. We are grateful, it was unforgettable and we had a great time relaxing.
Wow! We really enjoyed our time in Oyster Bay. The location of the Green House is top notch. On that stoep you can sit and forget about everything and just focus on the beautiful sea. It's so quiet and peaceful there and the accommodation is beautiful.
We spent a lovely 2 days in Oyster Bay. The weather didn't quite cooperate, but at least we had a wonderful view of the sea if we couldn't go swimming or walking. Oyster Bay is a very peaceful town and therefore we got a chance to catch up on a lot of lost sleep, just what we needed for the rest of our holiday elsewhere.
Was nice and quiet with a reasonable sea view. Enjoyed the wooden deck as well as exploring the surroundings. Place is well equipped although not very modern. Very friendly reception.
Groenhuisie is a simple but nice place to stay and just be peaceful. It has everything you need including a view from the porch.
Groenhuisie is functional accommodation and has a comfortable walk to the beach. House is well equipped but some things look like grandma's.
Would recommend the Groenhuisie for a nice family holiday.
What a wonderful vacation in such a quaint little house, within walking distance of the beach! Lovely weather and the entire beach to ourselves! Everyone was as heartfelt and helpful as family would be! We had all our hearts desired! Thanks for everything!
We really enjoyed our time in Oyster Bay. We go every year and then relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the sea. Groenhuisie is almost on the beach and that was a big bonus for us. We would definitely go again.
Oyster Bay is a gorgeous place, clean and open beach, most friendly people that greet and chat. Peaceful and tranquil and very very safe. Ideal place to recharge especially if you're from Gauteng and you can almost not believe that such beautiful, peaceful and safe places still exist. The Groenhuisie is beautifully clean and has a wonderful view of the beach, dunes and sea. Thanks Elmarie, it was really lovely, it just went by too quickly.
We had a wonderful stay in the Green House with its beautiful sea view from the house and porch! The beaches are so beautiful and clean and take your breath away. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes to switch off and enjoy nature. Many thanks to Elmarie who went above and beyond to help us with our booking. We will definitely come here again!
The Groenhuisie offers affordable accommodation and is centrally located with easy access to both the shop and beach in Oyster Bay. Everything you need such as bedding, towels, cutlery and washing machine, are available, so you only need to bring necessities. A few extra blankets for cold evenings as well as a heater would also be handy. Please note that you have to top up the electricity yourself, not included in the day rate. Also note the water restrictions. The only water that is available to Groenhuisie is rain water that is collected in a 5000 litre tank. Therefore water should be used sparingly. If attention is paid to all the above mentioned the accommodation is very pleasant.
