Magic, magic! A must.
It was a lovely weekend, peaceful atmosphere, and had everything needed. We really enjoyed getting away from the city. Shane's massages were amazing. He is also a great host, and was just a phone call away if we needed anything.
I felt safe and there was always a helping hand if needed! The owners as well as the workers of the place are joyful and friendly! They even washed my car for me on their own!
We enjoyed our stay at Gypsy Wagons. We booked a Gypsy Van and it had everything we needed to prep quick meals and keep our food fresh. The van looks small but we had ample storage space. The bathroom is outside and shared with the other van, but it was well kept and always clean. There's daily housekeeping and electric blankets for the cold nights. No need for adapters etc. as charging points are USB. Lots of Instagrammable spots in the yard. Would absolutely go again!

Staying in a Gypsey caravan is definitely something else. The tranquility between the trees makes one feel as if it is far from everything. The stay was good. However, the ablution is not suitable for snow, cold or rainy weather. The bed is fine, but I suggest a mattress and not the caravan sponges. Not good on the body.

Gypsy Wagons are unique cute accommodation wagons. Even the outdoor shower was a nice experience, hot water (gas geyser). However, one could not use the very nice big paw bath because of cold water. Load power is a reality but then the geyser's timer must be adjusted/disconnected.

A lot of effort is made to make you feel at home. My car was washed in the morning, fresh flowers in our car every day and to top it all off the hostess and owner made sure we were safe while we were still on the road. Beautiful surroundings and it's a stone's throw from the nicest shops and restaurants. Will definitely do so again!

The wagons are really incredibly beautiful and very cutely decorated. Feels like you are in another world. Everything is beautiful - the glasses and cups are clearly hand-picked. The hostess is really very helpful and really did everything possible to make sure we were comfortable. Can also work well for families visiting together.
Sandy received us generously with her staff. What a special place and excellent for two people per Glamper Wagon. Well equipped and it awakens the Gypsy in you. Everything was neat, clean and was cleaned every day even on Sunday. The garden is beautiful and the people's service excellent. Just a nice chat and a good rest. Can definitely recommend if you're looking for something different.

It was perfect. Truly glamping. Caravan camping without the schlep, but with extra benefits. Fully equipped, comfortable, clean and beautiful. Close enough to the town to walk, but far enough that you don't hear the noise of the town.

Holidaying in a Gypsy caravan was definitely a new experience. The large, high bed slept wonderfully. Only problem for me was the bathtub is just a little too small, but the right size for traveling in the caravan. I am 1.87 m and about 130 kg. My getaway with my wife was definitely enhanced by staying with Sandy. Anyone can book there with an open heart.
Caravans are parked under large shade trees far enough apart to provide privacy. Great sleeping space and well, I don't want to give everything away. Go see for yourself! Very helpful owner!

Thisbe has a luxurious, raised, queen-sized bed, dressed in gold, copper and blue. There is a charming throw blanket and faux fur blankets as well as a down duvet with luxury linen and an electric blanket. This unit has eclectic finishes and decor with the finest attention to detail. There is also a single bed under the queen size bed. Thisbe is fully equipped with all modern conveniences. There is a full-size, blue claw foot bath, a modern flush toilet, a kitchenette with antique decor and a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery. A traditional wood stove is the heart of every Gypsy Wagon. The wagon is fully insulated, so it is warm and cozy in the winter and cool in the summer. The Gypsy Wagons is an unparalleled glamping experience within the authentic, custom-built, wooden Gypsy Wagons, one can immerse themselves in the lifestyle of a traveling gypsy from a bygone era. Each Gypsy Wagon is meticulously designed and lovingly crafted, featuring hand-carved and hand-painted detailing. On-site facilities include self-catering options, spa treatments, a guest lounge, a braai area, and Wi-Fi. Exploring activities such as horse riding, fishing, mountain biking, bird watching, game drives, swimming, wine tasting, and more is also encouraged.
Accommodations consist of four uniquely designed wagon, Rosella, Esmeralda, Queenie and Thisbe, accommodating up to eight guests. Guests can enjoy a queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, a kitchenette, fireplace, and Wi-Fi.
Delilah the Dreamer is a VW Vintage Autovilla. This unit is fully equipped with everything you need. It accommodates 2 guests on a queen bed and has a bathroom with a shower.
Tilly the Flamingo is the most unique camper van ever. She is a 3-berth, powerful 2.5 diesel panel van, that has received a touch of the Magic Gypsy Wand. She is bright, modern and quirky. It accommodates 2 guests on a queen bed and has a bathroom fitted with a shower.
There is an on-site massage studio with a trained therapist and guests have access to the outdoor gypsy lounge and braai area. Guests also have use of the outdoor waterfall shower and the loo with a view as well as a large garden with swings and hammocks.
Access to property is by gate with a remote control. The host will be on-site to greet guests and will always be available in the event of emergencies.
Gypsy Wagons is walking distance from the village square with nature trails and hikes leading from the property. It is also 20 minutes from Golden Gate National Park and 90 minutes from the Drakensberg.
Unfortunately, this accommodation is not wheelchair or pet-friendly. No children under the age of 10 are allowed.
