It is a very comfortable place with a lovely atmosphere, beautiful views and a colourful garden. Don't forget to bring your food as it is located on top of the mountain.
What a pleasant stay with nothing amiss. We loved the cottage which has all you could need. Regrettably we didn't spend enough time to truly acknowledge and appreciate the full beauty of this spot.
We had a lovely relaxing weekend at Hardlines Cottage. The service was friendly and we received all the necessary information ahead of time.
Incredible stay, beautiful location, stunning accommodation, amazing hosts. Thank you. We will be back.
Hardlines is a comfortable unit located in a beautiful area right on the mountain. Norman was an excellent host. There was everything needed in the unit and everything was very clean and tidy. Will definitely visit there again. Just pay close attention to Hardlines' directions to take the Ebenetzer exit, the dirt road from there to the unit is not bad. Do not come in from the sawmill side (GPS gives it especially if you come from Tzaneen's side), the road is difficult from the bottom. Not really bothering in a 4x4, but a regular car might struggle.
Excellent, really enjoyed it.
The house is cosy and well decorated. The views, garden and short trails around the house are great. Lots of activities and nice places, like the local cheese farm and Debengeni waterfall to visit in the area. Helpful owners with suggestions and clear information. Looking forward to visiting again.
Perfect for nice fireplace visits deep in the forest.
A little piece of paradise, hidden away in the mountains. Pretty enough to be a honeymoon destination. Remember your milk for coffee/tea. Will definitely return for an overnight stay on our way to Kruger.
This is a really beautiful house, that has everything you need. Most amazing view with some great trails to walk from the house. Very isolated, perfect for a breakaway. The host was extremely friendly and very helpful. I will definitely be back again!
Very neat and spacious house, located in the mountains on the way between Haenertsburg and Magoebaskloof valley. House is very well equipped with convenient cleaning services. Beautiful view from the porch and very nice garden with walking paths on the premises. Location is a bit off the main road by dirt road, but can be driven by any vehicle, unless very wet. No TV but suited us. Lots to do in the area, mountain biking, walking, restaurants and this lake. Hot water via gas geyser which is handy in case of load shedding.
The house was much bigger than expected and was easy for a couple, mother and infant to share. The communication with the owners throughout the stay was great with updates on power outages in the area (and their use of the strong generator to ensure we were not significantly impacted). The garden and walking paths were beautiful and full of bird songs. The road to the guest house was extremely bumpy and muddy, but the recent excessive rains were the cause; for us it was still worth it driving there.
Hardlines were very professional, helpful and friendly. Communication shown was better service than you get in the city. The house was very nice to stay in, it was breathtakingly beautiful. They are very cute, have blankets in a basket for you right where you can sit in front of the fireplace and visit. Outside on the stoep early in the morning you look at the most beautiful nature with your cup of coffee. It was better than a 5 star hotel, the beds were so comfortable, the decor was beautiful and rounded everything off so nicely. We will definitely go back there.
Really a breath taking place that I can book into again, the place is in a forest with beautiful views. The 7km drive to from the road to the place is a bit rough but when you get to the venue, you simply forget the trouble it took to drive there.
This is a gem of a place! The place is neatly and stylishly furnished! The view is breathtaking! The silence brings a calmness over you!
Great service from the owners.
We got lost because of the fog and rain and darkness. Could barely see 3 m. Helped us get there by phone. We were also given grace to shower after the races before we left.
Hardlines recently opened the cottage to visitors, but I believe it will be fully booked soon. You immediately experience the peaceful environment as you drive into the farm with the rustle of the wind through the trees. We were away for a long weekend with 2 children (under 3 years) and were able to explore the area well from the farm. The beds are of good quality and the porch/lawn is such that one can comfortably hang out outside. This place is ideal for a couple, but it can also accommodate children. We would highly recommend it.
