A lovely guesthouse on a quiet street which provided the perfect base from which to explore the area.
It was perfect for what we needed. We didn't get to spend much time there, but the service was excellent and everyone went out of their way to make things comfortable for us, despite unforeseen problems with the hot water system.

It was too lovely to have a fireplace in the living room to warm up the living space. Enough warm blankets available against the cold. Tea, coffee and cremora were available to warm you up.
Centrally located to explore surroundings.
The atmosphere and tranquility at Haus Barbara B&B was very peaceful indeed. As a family with 2 teenagers we felt so safe and even slept with doors not locked. We will definitely come again in the future and will recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you very much for the nice treat and friendly and warm welcome and hospitality during our stay.
It was so much fun, the owners were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. I would recommend this place anytime. We will definitely go again!
The room was clean and tidy, but a few things were missing. Not coffee/tea tray. Not receiving WiFi code. Shower drain is blocked. Kitchen nook way too small. Linen is already stone cold and washed. Veranda doors did not have a key.
Would recommend for anyone who wants to be quiet to explore and tour the area. Value for money.

It was a friendly stay.
Barbara was the perfect hostess, so friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome and she did her best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. My little children were able to play in the garden and really enjoyed the spacious room and facilities.

Haus Barbara provides good, basic accommodation in Bredasdorp. One thing that stood out was that Barbara herself went to great lengths to help find things to keep the children occupied while I had to go and look after my father at the nursing home.
We chose the place for the location. You are within walking distance of everything you need, places to eat, shops etc. Clean and tidy with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Will definitely visit again and recommend.
We were only there one night and did not use the breakfast option. The room and bathroom were very neat and clean and very modern. Would highly recommend to future visitors. Thank you Haus Barbara for a very nice visit.
We enjoyed it very much. We were there before check-in time and she received us immediately. It is absolutely a fantastic country atmosphere, quiet and very peaceful. The garden is so beautiful and everything is perfect. I recommend it to every City kid. Our host lady and gentleman were wonderful and very helpful. We would 100% recommend them.

Breakfast is served on time every morning, but they could have varied it more with dishes.
Barbara was considerate because she gave me the courtesy to move in already at 12h30. I appreciate that. However, the entire room was covered in cat hair, even down to bundles of hair on the floor. I only noticed this when I put my black jacket on the sofa, apparently in the place where a cat always sleeps. Very annoying to have to remove cat hair from my clothes, and new cat hair on my clothes, bed, etc. to get. It is doubtful whether the room was ever cleaned beforehand.
We had a pleasant stay at Haus Barbara with the host being very helpful when we locked ourselves out of the one room! The rooms and specially bathrooms need a bit of a refurbishment. It was clean and neat but quite old and outdated.
Amenities not up to standard. Refrigerator freezes our vegetables and salad, no shower door, too few towels, unit needs renovation.
Breakfast was nice. Rooms need attention, blinds very dusty. Cupboards and drawers not clean, kettle on and toaster full of old bread crumbs. Get the feeling that not much attention is paid to the place. A little attention to the place can make a big difference.
Really a homey feeling. Barbara is a lovely hostess and makes sure everything is to your liking. She cares a lot about her guests. We will definitely stay there again.

The place is beautiful. The room was very nice. If you want to go and relax, this is the perfect place, it's also close to the main road.
We had a very relaxed, quiet stay. Comfortable, safe atmosphere. Situated perfectly within walking distance of the town. Bredasdorp is your typical larger country town. We visited Mozart coffee shop, well worth the visit - they even stayed open especially for us!! Pizza place on the corner of Haus Barbara makes the most delicious wood-fired pizza and the prices were a pleasant surprise. All in all, well worth it. Thank you!
Barbara went out of her way to find someone (on a Holiday) who was willing to take our little girl (9) for a horse ride. She managed it and we are very grateful for that xxx. Johan who was also VERY helpful and brought glasses and bowls when we wanted to braai :-). Will definitely visit again!!

Very friendly and competent service. Barbara immediately changed the sleeping arrangement when she realised that we were two ladies travelling. I already requested the website to include a field in the online booking form where one can indicate whether it is a couple or only friends travelling together.nEverything else was perfect and Haus Barbara is situated close to the main street of Bredasdorp.

We enjoyed the tranquility and the friendly service which was so accommodating as we were served our breakfast after watching the final of the Rugby World Cup.
We had a wonderful stay at Haus Barbara ... but would recommend you bring some plates, crockery and glasses, as the kitchen wasn't well stocked. But if you're after a comfortable bed, good location and friendly hosts, then this is your place!
