The beds were really comfortable, the house was clean and tidy and well furnished.
Was very nice. Lots of activities.
I realized for the first time that a 5 star review is not a 5 star stay. You can see the owners have put effort into the unit, but it remains just a 3-star accommodation. The unit is cold in the winter with the tiles. Only one blanket per bed. The wood of the bathroom cabinets is rotten and needs to be replaced. The glass of the shower door is very dangerous, and someone is still going to walk through it. Otherwise good, thanks.
I had a nice stay, but the reception was not very friendly. When checking in there was an error with the booking and the lady said our booking was cancelled. She then spoke to her head office and later to you guys and it took over an hour to confirm everything. Meanwhile, we were not treated as if we did have a booking. Been very stressful. And meanwhile it was getting dark and we weren't sure if we would be able to sleep there that night.

Modern, new cabins, with luxurious bedding and amenities, with the hot tub being a bonus on the cold winter day.

Our unit was R13, it is a ground unit of a duplex. Next time I would rather take the upper unit as you can hear everything that is going on above you, like if someone moves a chair or if someone taps water it is very clearly audible. The units are cleaned every day, as well as the braai. Note that you may only grill the duplex units with charcoal and not with wood. One of the reasons we chose the cabanas was the activities for the kids. One of the activities was the big "slides". Unfortunately they were not operational and it was a big disappointment for my children. And, if they would work we had to pay R70 per child so they could slide. Why do we have to pay extra for on-site amenities? Maybe they only open it in season. What was very disturbing to me was the fact that they were doing construction work at the entrance and since we were staying very close to the entrance, the noise was very disturbing. I went to ask Elliot at reception if we could be moved to another unit and he said he would find out and let me know, but I never heard from him again. As it was still off season, there were many open units further from the entrance. I feel that the management should have thought about booking people further away from the entrance instead while the construction is going on. The unit has a gas hob oven which we really enjoyed as we are not big on eating out and like to cook our own food.

Would love to be closer to the pool area. Asked the manager. He came to me after a few calls saying he would let me know. He never came back. Place was certainly not fully booked. Furthermore, it's not a bad place for a family.

The accommodation was very clean, there is so much for kids to do within the resort. The entire family enjoyed the stay at Hazyview Cabanas.
The resort itself had amenities suitable for young children. Within close distance of the resort were activities for teenagers and young adults. The accommodation we stayed in was semi-detached and we could hear every word of every song being played in the adjoining unit and it spoiled peaceful and quiet afternoons and evenings on the verandah. (We are not music people)

You or your guests must produce a confirmation letter in hardcopy or digital form at the time of check-in. The resort reserves the right to allocate a different unit, of the same size, as that indicated on the confirmation letter.
If, in the opinion of management, more than the stipulated number of persons occupy the unit, you or your party may be required to vacate the unit and you will be liable for the applicable penalty fee.

Renting out a unit prior to getting approval from management is not allowed. You may not "split" the booking period amongst guests that are not indicated on the official confirmation letter.
Any damage, that may even exceed the breakage deposit paid at check-in, to the resort's property, including the unit/s and their contents is the financial liability of the guest in occupation.
Signing an indemnity form is standard practice. Only a person over 18 years old may sign the Guest Registration Card at check-in.

The patio features a private splash pool and a contemporary braai facility.
