The house comprises 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet while the other 2 separate bedrooms, 1 of which is furnished with a double bed while the second has 2 single beds, share the second bathroom down the hallway that is fitted with a bath and toilet.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, oven, stove and microwave as well as all the utensils one would need. The lounge is spacious with comfortable seating as well as a fireplace for those colder evenings. The dining table can seat up to 8 people comfortably. A braai area is available on the patio for guests to enjoy as well as the lovely garden. Guests can also enjoy the beautiful sea views while relaxing on the patio. There is also a seating area further down on the rocks where you may experience a touch of Indian Ocean spray on your face.
Kindly note that there is no DSTV available but there is a selection of DVD's. Guests are welcome to bring their own decoders, but please notify the owners if you do. There are restaurants in the area where sports channels can be watched. We can only take bookings with a minimum of two days notice. We do not allow any pets and cannot make any exceptions. No washing machines are available but a laundromat is available in town should guests require having their washing cleaned.
Guests are required to arrange for day visitor's before-hand. The manager lives on-site, separate from the house rented and will help with any queries and will also hand over the keys and collect them when guests depart.

Clean, friendly, fantastic view.
It was our first time in Betty's Bay and we were pleasantly surprised! It's wild and breathtakingly beautiful! Heaven's Door is in the front row and one is unaware of any neighbours. One wakes up in the morning and goes to sleep at night with the calming therapy that only the sea can offer. The house is spotlessly clean, well equipped and the beds comfortable. It is highly recommended.

The location of Heaven's Door is perfect. The waves break right in front of the house and you fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The view is beautiful. The house is old but clean and comfortable. More than enough space for a large family. We really enjoyed the holiday.
The house is beautifully situated, directly next to the sea, where the waves are constantly breaking over the rocks. The house is spacious and equipped with everything needed for self-catering. It looks a little tired and it's just a shame that the windows don't seem to have been washed for a long time. One can only see the beautiful sea badly. We understand that the damp sea air will still attack the windows, but before each new visitor comes, the landlord should clean the windows once, as in other places by the sea that we have rented.
We absolutely love staying at Heaven's Door. This was our third visit this year, and we have also had friends who booked in this year. Breathtaking views, tranquil and the best place for peace and quiet. The best.
Heaven's Door is breathtaking - you cannot get a better seaside location. The accommodation is rustic and down to earth, yet very comfortable and all you need. Lovely inside fireplace and outside braai area. This is the ideal location to get back to one's roots and breathe. We will definitely be back - hopefully for a longer stay as well. Breathtaking views, peace and quiet. The calming effect of the ocean is unbelievable. Perfect place to spend with family or friends. Lots to do, good eating places, and gift shops. Loved every minute of our stay.
Visited with my wife for a few nights. She loves to find spots with big splashing waves. Well, she was riveted. The house is perfectly situated, and well-equipped to make any stay super special and memorable. I foresee us visiting again.

We were 2 families, all adults, and we used all the rooms and beds. The local area is very pretty and nice for beach and garden walks. The host was very helpful, before we arrived and during our stay, made us feel very welcome. A good destination for getting away from the hustle and bustle of busy life, very relaxing.

We had a great time at Heaven's Door and will definitely go again. There is also a single flight of stairs to the rooms and living area - in case older people come along.
The place is ideal for a peaceful getaway. With the fireplace in the sitting area and the sound of the waves, one cannot help but experience peace and tranquility. The children enjoyed themselves and ran around on the lawn in front of us while admiring the sea.

If you want to relax and cut off completely from the busy city life, come to Heaven's Door. Very private home, with the ocean on the porch. At night you'll get an awesome display of the stars while the waves crashing on the rocks. Throughout the house you'll find quotes which I totally loved. Baboon warning signs on the doors. Although the baboons never pitched while we were there, when we left. We saw them crossing the road. Talitha thank you again for opening your home.
Betty's Bay is perfectly situated to nearly villages and nowhere as crazy busy as Hermanus. House is stunning.
Would love to visit there again. The reception was very friendly. The house is large and spacious with all the amenities needed. It is located a few meters from the sea with beautiful views. We had a great stay, had a great barbecue and had a great time. Heaven's Door we will see again in the future.
Absolutely delicious please. Back garden with lawn and patio is very private and leads to the rocks (providing hours of fun for children) and the majestic sea. House is wonderfully comfortable and has everything one needs. Will definitely want to visit here again!

The location was perfect. The accommodation was sufficient. We did have an issue with hot water though. It's an easy drive to Kleinmond and Hermanus from there. We had terribly cold weather on our weekend stay. But the house was cosy and warm.

We really enjoyed our stay, and wish we could have stayed one more day, but unfortunately had to go back to work. Both children and parents enjoyed, because children could play on the rocks right in front of the house, while parents could enjoy their coffee/tea while watching the children from the comfort of the house. The fireplace also worked overtime, not smoking at all.
Location was beautiful, unfortunately the owner lives on the property, the kitchen back door is what divides the 2 living quarters, it is an invasion of privacy having paid for a private space but knowing that someone is hanging laundry while you are braaing. This time we drove to Kleinmond for a restaurant. Good service in Kleinmond.

Heaven's Door portrays serenity from the moment you walk through the door. The house exhumes warmth and hospitality. It is equally suited for a couples getaway as for a family getting back to basics. Sipping hot chocolate at the "coffee shop" on the rocks is pure bliss. The library of books is pure heaven and tucking in under a blanket with interesting reading matter is music to the soul.

Heaven's Door is set in the most beautiful location, right on the beach. The kids loved the rock pools in front of the house. Cutlery, crockery and glassware could do with an upgrade but overall everything was clean and in working condition. We will definitely go back, just for that view.
We went there for some real R&R. The location to the ocean, the views, layout of the house all added to an incredibly relaxing 5 days. It was perfect for that!
The location of the house is excellent. The arrival time is only at 15:00 in the afternoon and we were willing to pay extra to book in early, because our family's flight was at 10:00 the morning already and we had a to go directly to Betty's Bay from the airport. The declared that we could not make such an arrangement. We were not welcomed when we arrived an hour earlier en had to wait outside until 15:00. They sent us a long list of the coffee shops and restaurants where we could wait. All the places were closed because this is outside of the busy season. The house has all the basic things one needs. There was, however, a lot of things with notes and rules on them. It does not create a tranquil environment.
The location was fantastic, stunning views, the house was so neat. Definitely worth it for anyone, young and cold.

Unbelievable place to stay - Right on the rocks, quiet, peaceful and relaxing.
Great location, but the place could do with a facelift. Our holiday spirit took a hit on day one when we checked in due to unfriendly drivers. I was told 3 times in 3 minutes that I was not allowed to smoke in the house and that was about all that went through my head for the rest of the week. Notes pasted in absolutely all places to show what you can and can't do - "bootcamp"'s Moses. We did enjoy the privacy and seclusion immensely, with the waves breaking right in front of you on the rocks. The facilities are sufficient for self-catering.
My sisters and I enjoyed this accommodation thoroughly - would recommend it and will stay here again. We had a nice visit with Talitha.
We had a nice stay. Great, friendly, professional service. Nice house for kids and amazing location. We watched the penguins and went to the botanical garden - both easily accessable from the guesthouse.
The house is in a perfect location and one can get lost staring at the ocean. Very neat and clean, albeit not modern. Everything was available and in working condition. I would however suggest to the owners that they install a second shower in the house as it was rather challenging for five adults to cope with a single shower which, to complicate matters, lead off the main bedroom. Will definitely return. Had an amazing relaxing stay.
