The hostess was wonderful and made sure we were ready to be at the children's sports in Ermelo early on Saturday.
No effort is spared to make everything as convenient as possible. Delicious restaurants in town!
Breakfast minimal! Little choice. Ermelo no special holiday environment.
Google Highveld Splendor and in most cases it comes up as a hotel. This needs to be corrected by the owners because it creates an expectation that is no longer there. Nevertheless, it is a lovely well-maintained guest house with beautiful rooms, lovely gardens and a delicious breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The place was tranquil and beautiful. Great for a weekend getaway. The people are friendly and the place is value for money.
Highveld Splendour Hotel provides relaxed farm hotel accommodtion. Our room was beautiful and the underfloor heating kept the cold at bay. The gardens around the hotel is magnificent. Breakfast and dinner was delicious.
We enjoyed our stay and the staff was friendly. It was great to be in a quiet area and yet be able to take a 10 minute drive to town (Ermelo) for groceries or restaurants. As a techie, I only missed good internet connection. The provided wi-fi connection was slow and mobile operator reception was also not great. The place is worth the money for a weekend away.
We stayed there on our way from Pretoria to Mbabane (Swaziland), as we had to be there early in the morning for a presentation. The hotel is about an hour from the border post and then about another 30 minutes into Mbabane - very good location if you need to drive in that direction. The hotel was very neat and the reception was friendly. Be careful of the fog in the morning on the way to Swaziland, it can make the drive there considerably longer.
