29 guests' feedbackYes, we had a great time staying and camping, facilities sufficient, clean and tidy.
Very nice, peaceful, safe campsite in nature. All the facilities are beautiful and spotless. Goats often came to greet us at the campsite. Fanie and Anene are very friendly people, made us feel very much at home and had a nice chat. Walking trail just long enough to get the blood flowing quickly and breathe fresh air, the view is fantastic. Will visit the campsite again anytime!
Very neat facilities and friendly owners. Truly an ideal weekend getaway. No signal makes for very good relaxation.
See stars.
Beautiful people, wonderful hosts.
The owners may just have to take a peek. Bathroom no. 6's toilet bowl does not fill with water, and the donkey does not heat the water either. I scalded him well and let the water run for a long time, but it was only slightly lukewarm. Other than that, great camping and will definitely stay there again if I pass by. Thank you!
We had a very nice stay.
Hands down the best campsite we have been to as a family. The host went out of their way to make us feel at home. The site itself is lovely. Ablution facilities are clean (and strain resistant). However, the dirt road to Honeynest is a bit challenging for smaller vehicles.
We had a great time camping at HoneyNest! Fanie and Anene made us feel very much at home and the children can't wait to go back for more family time without phone signal downstairs.
It was a very clean and tidy campsite. Owners very friendly and helpful. Very peaceful campsite.
Children really enjoyed the playground and ten-pin bowling.
Beautiful, clean and tidy. The antelopes are wonderful.
Fanie and Anene are lovely, hospitable people. The campsite is neat. There is little to no cell phone reception and this has forced our teenagers to leave their cell phones and enjoy nature! The facilities are clean and tidy and the tranquility of sitting was wonderful. We highly recommend Honey Nest and will definitely visit them again!
Owners are very hospitable and friendly, and often make a visit to make sure everything is OK, they only allow a limited amount of campers at a time. Bought delicious jam and butter from their mini market!
Hospitality, bliss, rest and peace. Unbelievably nice weekend spent.
What a lovely campsite, small, intimate and absolutely ideal for spending quality time with your people. If you like silence and nature, the place is perfect for you! Looking forward to our next visit!
Very still. My granddaughter sums it up like this. The pool and the trampoline are for babies.
Definitely recommended for anyone who enjoys nature. Goats walking through camp were very special. Owners give personal attention to campers.
Peace in a beautiful well looked after friendly campsite.
Owners friendly. Camp site neat.
A wonderful weekend visit that was very quiet and peaceful. Thank you very much Fanie and Anene, your hospitality far exceeds what is expected of camp hosts! The visits to each stand once a day are also very much appreciated. The bathrooms and ablution block were really particularly neat.
The campsite is so neat and clean. We were welcomed with hospitality and immediately felt at home.
Very peaceful place, hidden in the woods, not too far to drive. Ablution facilities very neat, people very friendly, enjoyed it very much thank you.
Very peaceful and quiet, nice sitting around the fire, ideal place to rest.
Our stay was very peaceful and we enjoyed the silence. The only negative point is that 8 people had to use 1 toilet (which did not work properly) and it was not nice.
Honeynest Resort is a great place to go camping. The proper way with no electricity. Friendly and welcoming owners. It does have neat outdoor showers using a donkey to warm water up and fully functional toilets. You can purchase wood and ice at the venue. Each campsite has it's own braai facilities and water supply. We were 5 adults and 7 children ranging from ages 2 to 13 years old and there were plenty of fun things to do for the kids. Will definitely be camping at Honeynest Resort again.
Wonderful place, close to Johannesburg though far away from noise and traffic. Easy to reach. With its brand-new facilities the camping site offers hot water, a newly built pool, indoor and outdoor showers and a lovely bonfire place. Everything is clean and well-finished. The owners are extremely sweet and kind and they welcomed us with some typical South African fruits and biscuits: the best way to start our road trip through South Africa! I highly recommend Honey Nest Resort to everyone!
