41 guests' feedbackWe loved our stay at Honne-Hemel: Oubaas and came away feeling refreshed. It is very spacious and has comfortable beds. Our whole family relaxed during our stay. The view is amazing, and the one braai area is above the house and overlooks the town. Hondeklipbaai is a basic town, and it was good to get out of the rat race for a while.
We booked for one night on a road trip but ended up staying for two. We should have stayed for a week! It's an absolutely awesome place with superb hosts!
Lia has a very pleasant place with its own character in the area and surroundings where it is. It was a unique experience. We would have stayed much longer if we could.
Great, the view was nice, wild flowers were amazing and the people were friendly. It would be nice if there was WiFi available. Gravel roads in good condition.

Peaceful 2-night stay. Hindeklip Baai is rather remote, which is what we were after. Lovely old house with a great sea view.
We really enjoy the area and the park and the routes that you can ride! The people are friendly and there are no words for the beach. Fresh air and peace for one's soul. Unfortunately we left late and Li was so helpful! We were very grateful for her! The place to stay is always clean and tidy and etc sleep nice and warm! Safely fenced for the kids! We had a really nice stay!
It was so nice, Aunt Lea is friendly and the house was wonderful. Children loved all the play area and I could rest assured that they were safe the whole time. It was truly one of the best holiday homes I have ever been to.

Koos and Lia are wonderful people! They really went the extra mile to make everything comfortable and enjoyable for us. Everything was perfectly clean! We especially enjoyed the electric blankets and indoor barbecue in the cold. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
Ons het baie lekker gebly. Plek was mooi skoon en ons het baie welkom gevoel. Ons het ons privaatheid geniet en kon sommer net tuis voel. Ons het lekker warm geslaap al was ons in die hart van die winter daar. Pak maar lekker warm klere. Die dorpie is baie vriendelik en al was daar nie groot winkels nie kon ons tog 'n paar benodigdhede soos hout kry. Ons gaan vir seker weer gaan kuier en hoop om weer daar te bly!

Our group of 6 friends was pleasantly surprised with a lovely atmosphere, nice indoor barbecue and round table and good service from Lea. Highlight was the Dop en Kreef restaurant. Don't miss it, food, service and friendliness were exceptional.
The house is clean well maintained with everything you could possibly need. It was an amazing time, we will visit again and again. Thank you Koos and Lia.
Wonderful place and people. It's wonderfully clean and little things like electric blankets were wonderful in the cold. Just take enough drinking water and groceries, there are no shops.
Very special accommodation put together with extra love and the view and space for children to discover and play is great.
Indoor barbecue with round table in front was ideal for the cold weather. Warm sheets on beds were a very nice plus. Comfortable and nice and big.

If you want to stay in Hondeklipbaai, look no further than Honnehemel. This house has a beautiful view, is absolutely equipped, just bring your food and drinks. One feels so safe, even when walking along the beach. This little village is really remote and if you're looking for peace and quiet, it's the place to be. Lia made us feel so welcome and the rusks were a lovely bonus - thanks so much. We'll definitely stay here again in future.
It was such a nice experience to visit the village again after years. Nice old memories and new ones made in Lia and Koos's cute seaside house. Thank you very much for the warm welcome and your hospitality. It exceeded all expectations. We will definitely visit again.
This is a very nice residence, a home away from home with a beautiful view of the sea. Hondeklipbaai's community is also very friendly and peaceful. One can see that the owners have put a lot of love into this house with a great sense of tranquility and security and very nicely and practically furnished with a fully equipped kitchen. Seeing as it was winter temperatures, it was very cold in Hondeklip Bay, but the house is so rested that no one shivered indoors for a moment from the cold! The owners are very friendly and accommodating! Our children also enjoyed it tremendously and slept well with their electric blankets and frolicked safely in the large yard. We would definitely recommend this piece of heaven and we hope to return there ourselves soon.
The accommodation is neat and everything is there that is needed. Take extra toilet paper with you because the accommodation is not serviced during this time. May happen that there is no TV.

Had a fantastic 2 days on Hondeklip Bay, despite 2 flat wheels I will definitely visit Hondeklip Bay again. I would like to go with more friends and also take our bikes and hiking bags! It's worth the long drive and dirt road! Dop en Kreef Restaurant's fish and lobster were fresh and service was top notch, and sea view is of course at the top of the list.

If you want to get away from everything and everyone and find your feet (and ten to one never go back home) this is the perfect place. Honne-Hemel is truly heaven on earth. We had a great stay and learned new things. We left home with heavy hearts. Hospitality is top notch. Everything you want from a self-catering unit and even more you will find there. It's clean and tidy and nicely furnished. We are already planning the next vacation. Many thanks to the owners for all the effort.
Lia and her husband were really interesting people to meet. They immediately made us feel welcome and put us at ease. It is peaceful and quiet. It is a place where you can just walk and take it easy. It would be better if you drive there with a 4x4. The dirt road is long and at times very bad. I can say with peace of mind that it was very nice there and definitely worth the money.
House very pleasant and well equipped (just watch out for stairs to living room). Amenities and view couldn't be better. Just a pity our time was so short - need at least 5 days. We chose Hondeklip Bay as a central destination to see flowers in Turtle Park - but the flowers were so beautiful around Hondeklip Bay that there was no need to travel to Turtle Park to see them. Just drive down the coast in the direction of Groenriviermond and there is more than enough to see and appreciate.
Lovely lapa that also overlooks the sea. The owners are very friendly and helpful and will spare no effort to make one's stay pleasant. The yard is fenced so you can take your dog with you.
If you want to get away from everyone and everything and just recharge your batteries, Honne-Hemel is just the place.
The house was very tidy and there was literally everything you could need! The mattresses on the beds were great and not thin sponge things! The living room sofas were very comfortable and not already worn out! The grills were pretty clean! The yard is also very neat. The location of the house is also perfect. We also really enjoyed the bird bath in the front garden. It was so nice to walk the whole village flat and come across many unforgettable stories. Was very sorry when we had to drive and couldn't stay longer! You will definitely see us again!

The owner was extremely helpful and washed our clothes at no extra charge as the washing machine was broken. The braai area is stunning and even has an outside toilet and sink. A minor complaint was that DStv was not working. We had a most enjoyable stay and will be back.
