The room was clean and tidy, with everything you need. The restaurant has a huge variety of food with a very nice atmosphere.
Our time at Horseshoe Inn was fantastic. Private and very safe and close to all shopping centers. Very convenient.

The place was dirty and neglected. The ceiling was peeling off, the shower door wouldn't close, the shower head was broken. The bedding was also squeaky and old. There was old scrap on the premises.

It's just a pity they can't make it a courtesy for you to pack a lunch if you leave at 5 o'clock in the morning. They say you can come in at half past 7, but you already left 1 and a half hours ago. Then you just have to buy food along the route you drive.
Although we cannot complain about the accommodation, we were very disappointed with the service in the restaurant. Waited a long time to be served and after another long wait the order was incorrect.

Not many tijerlantinjes but rooms clean and tidy. Ideal for just sleeping over, can just eat there. Booking through the website is highly recommended, makes check-in quick and easy. I might not have got a place that night if I hadn't booked in advance through the website.
We were requested to have our room searched at 06:00 in the morning, when the problem was actually 2 rooms away. Totally ineffective in solving security issues.
The resort was full and busy and very noisy. The room and bedding smelled of smoke. The showers have black mold in them. There is no mirror if you want to blow dry your hair.
No access control. Few small things broken in room. Can understand due to fire that breakfast was cancelled. Was replaced with a pie/soda. Would have preferred to have option for partial refund/voucher. Rooms were still not clean after we received keys. There was also a large gathering in the parking area by other guests. Would not recommend for parents with small children.

I had been there 17 years back, in 2002. I had been there with my parents. My mom told me when I made the reservation that I always wanted to go back. It is very different from what I remember, but very beautiful and peaceful.

Upon our arrival we were told that our one room had been cancelled. We have already paid for the room and were not notified of cancellation. Also no refund made to us. The nice receptionist got us another room, but it was far from our room and noticeably less tidy. There were 2 weddings at the time and got the feeling that our second room was given to the guests.
They should put better security measures in place. Breakfast also not up to standard. Did not enjoy our stay.
Restaurant admits stumbling drunk people with bottles of beer in hand. The restaurant does not adhere to Covid rules. No access control between the drunk people and the resort. They walk and swear and make noise throughout the resort. At three o'clock in the morning people are honking their car horns and driving by and shouting and the management does nothing. There is no access control between the road and the resort. There are good facilities but there is no rest.

Horseshoe Inn in Kimberley has very neat, clean and air-conditioned rooms and bathrooms. The dining hall and the lapa were clean and comfortable to sit at. The food was excellently prepared. We only spent the night there and would recommend it to tourists. Many thanks to the friendly staff.

All available at the same venue - restaurants, sport bar etc. Rooms are very clean and well kept and Horseshoe near shopping centres.
Reception was good, heater in the room was great especially for Kimberley's winter evenings, food was also good and the service was awesome.
Had a very nice stay and a good breakfast. Not the best, but can do something about parking very smart and have to walk far ─ can't find parking in front of the room.

The staff were every friendly, the place is safe and well situated. The linen was clean and they have coffee facilities and there is cold bottled water in the fridge. This was a nice touch. The problem was that the shower contained a slug and the floor was damaged. It looked like there was a hammer party in the shower. The cupboards were not as clean as one would like and the room has not been swept for a while. The dust had accumulated behind the door and one could almost build sand castles with it. The glasses were not clean, but I did not have to use it, luckily. If you can live with a beaten up shower floor that is home to a slug, I presume you will feel right at home.
Room reservation was not what I booked. There was a function with a lot of noise and our parking space was taken right in front of the room, as well as the covered parking, so we had to park 4 to 6 rooms away and unpack and pack our luggage. No clean towels found. Had to shower with the same towels for 2 days. The kettle is very old and the lid cannot be opened. Day before we left at 12:00 it was reported to reception that we had a hot water problem. When we left the next morning we had no hot water to shower. We reported this again to reception when we checked out at 6am after which they informed us that they would report it to management. To date we have not received any feedback. We are very disappointed in the Horseshoe Inn. We left for Cape Town without decent washing facilities.
If one is looking for a reasonable priced, clean, comfortable, well serviced, safe B&B place, conveniently located, even for more than an overnight stay, then this is it.

The only negative experience was the noise during the late evening and early morning when a large number of conference attendees arrived/departed. Other than that it was a good experience.

We had a very nice stay. The breakfast is great and the staff there are very friendly. The room was neat. All criticism is the shower and bathroom which have mold spots which make it appear dirty. Regardless, it will be our first choice for accommodation in Kimberley in the future.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable - it had obviously been newly decorated. The breakfast was disappointing - everything was lukewarm (apart from the eggs and toast which were cooked to order).
Unfortunately our stay clashed with the latest riots so the Inn was actually brought to its knees as far as offering meals etc, but they coped. The Inn was clean and we really enjoyed their new rooms.

My spouse and I always sleeps there for a night due to neatness, quiet and delicious breakfast the next day.
This is the second year we have stayed there and will do so again next year. Already told others about it today and have to give them the telephone number tomorrow. They make you feel at home like one big family and as if you were in your own home.

Horseshoe Inn was easy to book. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with a large pool which was great to cool off in after a long drive. The staff was friendly and the breakfast 5 star.
Was such a bonus that basically eveything is walking distance from where we stayed. The restaurant has delicious food and a huge breakfast buffet. Really great value for your money. We will definitely be back. The cleaners can just put in a little more evert when they vacuum the carpets and clean the showers properly. That said, don't let it put you off. Not dirty at all, just a bit of extra care needed. And maybe they can add a few chairs to the rooms or on the patio for people who want to sit and chat. We spent lovely days there and we weren't out all the time, so a bench would have been nice on the patio. Your beds won't last long is it is the only place to sit!
Stayed overnight in Kimberley for funeral service the next morning. Horshoe Inn offers an excellent service with overnight facilities and on-site restaurant with a fantastic extensive menu. Full breakfast included in accommodation, nothing was missing. Would definitely recommend to travelers looking for an affordable overnight place.

Reception staff friendly and efficient. We had a problem with the TV and Air Conditioner (I think it is due to not being so technologically nimble). Willie from security quickly made the problem go away. The room was comfortable for one night's stay. The breakfast was something to write home about.

The accommodation is very basic - would at least like a bedside lamp to read by in the evening. We had difficulty accessing our room - parking was full from the entrance throughout the complex and we had to drive around for parking, which was then far from our room - consequently had to carry our luggage along the way. The whole restaurant smells of cigarette smoke and there isn't really a difference between smoking and non-smoking.
We enjoyed our stay. Safety for me is of utmost importance. We didn't feel safe, although nothing happened, because it seems as if anyone could enter the premises at anytime. There are no safety gates visible which could keep out unwanted elements.

Only stayed the Saturday. Firstly, my booking couldn't be found. I had to go and ask another group of guests to keep it down at 01:00 on the Sunday morning since they were having a party in the venue just across from our room. If your aim is so have a night's rest, choose elsewhere to stay. Reception couldn't answer when the noise would stop. I had to confront a group of aggressive drunk people (with only two plastered souls doing a jig on the dancefloor with the miserable music booming in the background) until the music was turned down and they started packing up. A truly unpleasant experience. The breakfast hall had old food stains on the walls which created the impression that cleanliness isn't a priority. This place shouldn't be advertised, sleep is not part of the equation.
Horseshoe Inn is very basic, just an overnight,no frills.
When we got into the room, there were someone else's belongings in the room. There were 2 weddings on site and parking was a nightmare. We were upgraded to the hotel, but would not stay there again. We didn't feel safe either.
The room, furniture, bedding and towels are old. The windows can open, but the frames and paint are rusty. The shower was packed with mold and not cleaned properly. The room's carpets have a nasty stench and makes everything stink. There was noise coming for the function hall and the restaurant right through the night.
The Horseshoe Inn must be one of the most suitable places to stay, be it as a family or as a group of singles. It has convenient beds, variety and affordable meals. A good location. A shuttle service to and from the airport is available. You could also use the taxi services offered. I found that Riki's Taxis offer an affordable, dependable and professional service.

I specifically asked until what time the restaurant is open. Horseshoe confirmed until 21:00. My booking was for a Sunday evening. When we arrived they informed us that the restaurant isn't open on Sunday evenings. The parking in front of the rooms are not sufficient and we had to park quite a long way from our unit. Otherwise the room was very neat and clean and the breakfast was delicious.
Accommodation is very outdated and neglected. Toilets and shower need a lot of attention. Toilet rings are broken and shower does not drain well. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Not at all impressed. Not even WiFi in the rooms. I rather booked at a different guesthouse, despite having already paid the full amount.
Point 1 They advertise WiFi in every room (I see they changed it now) because it was false marketing because it is not the case. Point 2 The toilet was blocked (so they never cleaned the toilet otherwise they would have noticed) and they only moved me to a different room 2 hour later. Pont 3 Urine odour in my room ... atrocious. Pont 4 My bed wasn't made. Pont 5 The air conditioning in the 3 rooms made so much noise that we couldn't sleep.

It was very pleasant to be able to kick off our shoes and relax in such a peaceful and clean room after our long journey. We slept well in a cool room and were rested when we continued our journey home.

After discussion with manager and owner of H/Inn, service improved. Parking for guests a big problem. Reception could be more helpful. Reception should listen to customer's problem and NOT say she can attend to it until the next day. The customer does not need to know about their problem, such as their staff shortage. The staff of the hotel, except dining room staff, should not walk through the breakfast room and shout at each other. My thanks to Mr. Larry Schoeman for prompt professional action.

If it wasn't for my mother who was with me, my husband and I would definitely have driven on and not slept over at all! For non-smokers the rooms were horrible! The room reeked of smoke. The air conditioning didn't work at all - it was very hot - we were moved around and then the air conditioning in the other room didn't work either. I cringed at the carpets - really think they could upgrade the rooms. Would not recommend Horseshoe Inn.

During the week ok, but never again on weekends. There is no tranquility. I will never go there on a weekend again. They can warn you against matric graduations and weddings, then I make other plans.

Very centrally located Inn in Kimberley on the N12. The Inn offers very basic, clean accommodation. Parking is off street, provided at your room. Breakfast was included in the price and was good, standard English Breakfast. The Inn also offers a nice family restaurant where we had dinner one evening during our stay.
Ideal for overnight stay. Clean, tidy with shops and eateries nearby.
However, a dance party until 2am kept us awake. The party was right across our room in a hall. The breakfast was acceptable.
