Hi, we had a great stay at Joan's Rest. Very safe and cozy.
Comfortable, neat and comfortable accommodation with everything we need. The owner welcomed us kindly and showed us everything. I would suggest that a separate WiFi router be provided for the apartment as the WiFi was very bad and we couldn't connect the TV at all. Extra pillows maybe also for the sofa bed. But overall we had a nice stay. Air cooling was a lifesaver in Kimberley's heat.
On our arrival the owner was not very friendly. He started on us immediately because we were 4 and only booked for 3. I tried to explain. Fortunately, his wife arrived, a very nice lady, and we were able to come to an agreement. We immediately found other accommodation the next day. Felt terribly uncomfortable after the man's approach.

Walking distance from the Pavillion Mall. Close to the airport. Close to the N8 to Bloemfontein and N12 to Cape Town.

The children and I had a great stay. We had a busy program and were very kindly received by the owner. Would stay at Joan's Rest again anytime. Suggestion: The TV can be upgraded. Children laughed a lot at the boxing television. Other than that, everything was 5-star for sure. Thank you very much.

Place centrally located, but not up to the usual standards. Although the place itself was clean, there were dirty marks on the living room sofas, the TV was old with bad picture. There was no attention to detail either. Joan's rest unfortunately did not live up to our expectations.
The place is not private at all and will only serve as an overnight stay. TV is as old fashioned as Madiba.
There was no house number on the property, making it difficult to find. The location pin sent me to the house next door, and the owners were not in Kimberley. The owner was unable to communicate in a decent manner over the phone and became aggressive and rude. There is a loose dog on the property that barks at you, even at night. Additionally, there was a flashing light from the neighbor's property shining through our window, making it difficult to sleep. The WiFi inside the flat is very weak.
No, I arranged the place for my son and his wife with their baby. They didn't have a nice stay, the place is in a poor and dirty neighborhood. There was only one towel in the bathroom, no cutlery etc. They did not see the hostess once during their stay to complain/ask.
Ceiling fan is noisy, TV needs upgrading.
Joan's Rest is a very neat and pleasant place to stay the night. The reception was very friendly and pleasant.
We only stayed one night. Everything worked. There were enough blankets for the cold and also towels. There was even coffee/tea and milk for us. Tidy. Clean. Shower works great. Definitely recommend.

Private and comfortable. Value for money. Double bed makes a bit of noise. Shower tiles start to get sharp corners. Television image is a bit unclear. But everything else is very neat and comfortable.
Im future, some people might not appreciate having to move around the yard where a dog is kept. The stay was very nice, the owners are friendly and straightforward.

The surroundings (field opposite the accommodation) and road are in poor condition. Although this is not the responsibility of the owner of Joan's Rest, it may deter future customers. I will definitely use their service again. WiFi facilities will definitely be a plus for them.

Owners respected our privacy at all times. And did their best to solve problems. A back up pump made some noise after midnight, due to water shedding in Kimberley. But Peter did his best to turn it off the next day. Be prepared.

Nice accommodating people, very friendly. Modern TV needed and a new bed. Everything was perfect. There is no DStv nor free WiFi, please have at least one.
Felt very comfortable and safe.
Every 2 minutes and 26 seconds (yes, I measured it) the sprinkler system turns on and turns off shortly thereafter. The water tank is opposite the window of the master bedroom and the noise, in the silence of the night, is deafening. I couldn't get any sleep because of this, and am tired-tired the next day. We arrived late (my fault, not Joan's Rest) and spent half an hour struggling to find Joan's Rest in the dark. Nowhere could we find a sign or the street number.

Small apartment with kitchen facilities is much more comfortable than just a room.
Flat was clean and neat.
The place is neatly equipped, we had a good rest.
The host/hostess was not helpful at all. Could not locate the contact person by phone. Had to call around to find out the arrangements for the keys. There was a minor misunderstanding with TV set and the host was extremely inept.

Craftsmanship of plumbing and carpentry in apartment not very good. The absence of a door between bathroom/toilet and bedroom not acceptable.
Joan's place was really clean and tidy. The bed and couch just definitely need to be replaced. It sleeps and sits no longer very comfortably. Water was nice and hot, but cold tap too tight to turn on. Hot faucet knob falls off. Furthermore, the place was really clean and very enjoyable to use. The chocolate was also special.
This accommodation is very neat and nice. I will definitely recommend to anyone.
