30 guests' feedbackWe enjoyed the place very much and will be booking it again.
What a lovely stay. The manager is amazing. She is customer-focused and even offered us free cleaning services as we stayed for a prolonged period. She also made her washing facilities available to us.
We enjoyed the stay, we had lots of visitors, including kudu, impala, warthogs, zebras, and giraffes.
Would stay there again anytime.
Very nice stay for one night. Clean linen and towels with a lovely bed. Candles available during loadshedding.
Very nice place. And everything is a nice place and very quiet.
Very cute and private. Rooms are small but very comfortable and sleep very well. Owner keeps in touch and is very friendly. Will stay there again.
The place has a lot of potential but needs a thorough cleaning and maybe a bit of a makeover. There are plus points: Bedding was nice and clean and white (only one pillow case was missing), and the beds in the house sleep well. The kitchen is quite well equipped, has nice hot water, a nice braai area, and we felt safe. But the curtains and mosquito nets are not clean, and the furniture is a bit battered. There is a sofa bed in the living room that needs a good cleaning. Sink faucets are loose.
Yes, had a nice stay. The beds are very comfortable. One big disadvantage is the place is too closed, there is no view of the forest and the porch area lends itself to being able to do this, but is closed so you have to hang over the fence to be able to see the animals. The banks also need attention; new covers over the cushions would look much better. Also a little more crockery than just the necessary six of each would be good too. Rooms could do with more hanging space for clothes and the cottage's bathroom could do with a cabinet for your toiletries.
Was a nice place to sleep, just look at cleanliness and curtains that don't hang properly and have broken clips, even tiles that are broken. If it is renovated, it will be a nice place.
Place is dirty. Curtains are broken.
The place is unpleasant. The bedding has stains and the towels were not clean. The bathroom stank and wasn't cleaned properly. There is a multiplug in the lounge overheating, and a damaged plug without a cover in use in the bedroom. There are no cupboards or mirrors. The lights are not working in one of the bedrooms. It is unhygienic as all crockery, cutlery, and glassware is left uncovered on a counter or on a low cupboard without doors. The blue sleeper couch is absolutely disgusting, filthy, and full of stains. The furniture is worn, and the pool is missing tiles.
We had a great time at John and Noleen's place. The caretaker was kind enough to give us access for about 1½ hours. It was very welcome. However, there are a few things that can be pointed out. We booked for 7 adults. However, the layout of the house is not suitable for this. We did know that 1 bed was a sofa bed before we went. However, the living room part is so small that it makes the sofa bed impractical. The 2 bathrooms are extremely small, so much so that you have trouble moving around with ease. Kitchenware is all there, but a little attention wouldn't hurt. Plastic wine glasses that have all been dull washed, no scrubber for pots, no grill brush - are all small things that can be quickly sorted out. We got the feeling that the place is run only as an income without any passion. My wife and I stayed in the log house above the parking lot. Very nice room. No complaints here. All in all we had a great time and were able to work around the few small snags. Nice close to the river so we could just walk there.
There was a bad smell, swimming pool was empty.
Place is well-maintained but totally enclosed, no wildlife can be seen. Cleaner, which we paid extra for, needs a crash course on housekeeping. Needs extra candles or battery lights for load shedding.
Had a great time at this house. Clean, well-stocked and owners/agent checking in. Would happily recommend to others.
Place is very dark and bathrooms are very small and uncomfortable.
Nice and quiet and close to shops.
We really enjoyed the visit and rested well.
Fekile was very helpful. What I might recommend is perhaps some loose chairs that can be easily moved around - the benches at the barbecue are very uncomfortable. Other than that we had a great time, thank you.
The place is wonderful. Very relaxed and a good environment to wind down. A place where human species and nature mingle well. I loved it.
Servant is excellent but the house does not meet my expectation.
Although it is a place with heaps of potential, it is very neglected and needs a lot of attention. We were there as a family for my father's birthday and he is a big rugby supporter and it was test rugby - Springboks against the Irish Lions, the place is clearly advertised with DStv Premium package, however it is the opposite, it is the DSTV Compact package, which was obviously a huge disappointment. In the house itself, the two bathrooms are extremely cramped and the showers are a problem with hot water. Some of the curtains in the room were just hanging loose behind the bed, were not hooked at the top and it looked very untidy, one shelf inside the cupboard was broken. The room upstairs on the outside is beautiful and the bath very nice, but the toilet seat is broken, the fire extinguisher upstairs was in the red and wouldn't work if you needed it - which could be a problem as it is a log room is. The outside table and chairs are old and the cushions on the benches are broken and just look unpleasant. I am very disappointed in the place, really expected more for the price.
We had an incredibly nice stay. Clean, neat, beautiful and cozy. Loved it!
Amazing place and an amazing host.
Fully equipped place with fantastic visiting area. Very close to the Crocodile Bridge entrance to the Kruger National Park. Our little girl loved the animals that pass by near the house and the water park that is 5 minutes away. The bedrooms being away from each other was a bit impractical for us as a family and the plastic glasses don't give the right atmosphere for a drink either.
Very clean and tidy and the house has everything you need. The splash pool was lovely!
Stay was nice, the chalet has everything a person needs - no shortcomings.
The owners were very friendly and really helped with the things we weren't happy with. The biggest disappointment was that on the advertisement it says that you can see animals coming to drink water at the watering hole from the deck (viewing deck) but you can't see anything, all you stare at are trees. This is the main reason we booked the place so it was a huge disappointment to be able to see absolutely nothing. The other problem was the shower in both rooms, the geyser is very small and the water is only hot for a minute or two then the water becomes ice cold then you have to wait a few more minutes for the water to warm up. The last problem was the pool, there was nothing in the pool to circulate the water a bit, so it was just stagnant water the whole time, we were too scared to swim because we weren't sure how long the water had been standing like that . I would also suggest that they put a light by the grill because we should have used a flashlight if we wanted to grill, the light that was outside was a sensor light that only stayed on for a few minutes, we just had to -shortly before the light stopped so that the light can come on. We actually drove back home one day early because we didn't enjoy the place very much.
