Great time and view! Just so relaxing!
The outside braai and meeting place is very comfortable with a beautiful view. Close enough that you can hear the waves. Special attention has been given to all the possible needs that may arise. The reception was very friendly and happy to share information that could be important for us. We had a great stay and will definitely visit again.
Inside: The accommodation was great, and rather spacious and had everything we needed for the weekend. Outside: The braai amenities were sufficient. The one dissatisfaction with this property is the lack of a view. Unfortunately, there is a huge property going up right in front of the house which completely blocks the ocean view, which was the main reason why we booked this place. Had we known about this beforehand, we would defs not have booked it. The photos of the view do not reflect the actual. A bit disappointed that the owners didn't bother to mention it.
Kaalvoet Villa was very welcoming and comfortable for our family of five. The views were beautiful and the indoor Braai was enjoyed. Attention to detail was welcome and the solar. System was appreciated during load shedding. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed in Ocean, it was more than well equipped, had a wonderful sea view, Frieda was lovely, she has a little book of great restaurant suggestions. Beautiful garden, it was very relaxing. Wifi was excellent! We had a lovely stay and I'd definitely go again.
We were pleasantly surprised with Barefoot. Frieda was so kind and called us a few times to discuss the directions with us. The accommodation is 100% complete, there is absolutely nothing missing and everything is beautiful and one feels like staying there. We will definitely visit there again and we will tell our friends about it. We had a great time relaxing and resting.

Beautiful view, friendly reception. Aunt Frieda was so nice and friendly. The accommodation in Fynbos was the best, beautiful and tidy. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The braai facilities were also great. It was a lovely break, great way to end the school holidays During load shedding there was still hot water and WiFi, it was fantastic!
Safe, tidy and breathtaking sea view.
We encountered a Cape Eagle Owl which camped out a few meters from our bedroom door. It was a special experience.
The sea is straight down the road (less than 10 minutes walk). Sea view is slightly obstructed by adjacent house, but still nice. The hostess was very friendly, helpful and everything was perfect.
It was our first visit to Yzerfontein and we really enjoyed our time at Kaalvoet. Als was as we expected.
Not very private. Other guests had to walk past our unit to get to the main entrance.
My daughter and I spent a few days at Kaalvoet in Yzerfontein - we loved every minute there. Frieda was friendly, informative and so willing to help with advice and tips on walking, restaurants and things worth seeing. The beach is spectacular and if you love birding, there is plenty to see with marine birds on the quiet, and long sandy beaches as well as the birds that regularly visited the bird baths and are typically found in the surrounding fynbos. The apartment was well equipped, with ocean and fynbos views. It was only a short walk to the beach from the house, so well situated.

Barefoot is perfect for a quick getaway from the city for a day or two. The location is perfect, close to the beach and away from the main beach with lots of people. "Sea Shells" unit is more than enough for 2 persons. The unit is very neatly and luxuriously furnished. I would easily recommend Barefoot.

A beautiful, exquisite open-plan self-catering unit that offers value for money. Good furniture, beds. The WiFi was a bonus. Thank you also for the milk waiting for you in the fridge for that first cup of coffee after a day's driving. Friendly service from the hostess Frieda who occasionally passed on information by e-mail, as well as Gina who came to unlock for us. All that bothered me was that there was no sink for the dishes (just a dish), although it is a self-catering unit. I suspect the unit may be part of another unit that is equipped. And then I was also worried about my car not being behind a fence or security gate. But I also noticed how many other lots were open and cars that were out all night. Maybe car theft or break-ins are not as common there as here in the Free State. Can recommend Barefoot with the utmost confidence. Will definitely stay there again.

We were a group of friends who shared the house and Seashells Cottage. The villa's open-plan living space has ample space and we never felt cramped. The indoor fire/kaggel works really well and a beautiful gas stove/oven for cooking. The house is very well equipped (lots of cutlery/crockery/glasses) and a vast selection of pots and pans and sharp knives. Great location next to green belt, beautiful sea views and you can hear the ocean. 3 min walk down to beach. All makes for great breakaway! Whether you share this as friends or as a family, you are sure to have a great time. Frieda is a great host and and easy to reach for assistance.
I decided to ask the big question on the beach walking distance from Kaalvoet. The help I received from Anel and Frieda made it an unforgettable evening. They assisted with a picnic on the beach and then helped us prepare a candle light dinner with the finest attention to detail. Anel prepared amazing food for us. I can definitely recommend Kaalvoet.

Kaalvoet offers unit at affordable prices. Clean, neat and everyday facilities available, from scissors to a safe in every room. My only critique is the strange shower head, although it is a beautiful bathroom. If you can ignore the noise of the neighbour's dog barking, this place is perfect for you.
Yzerfontein is a great undiscovered gem. Just the right spot for a relaxing breakaway from the city. The town is safe and the area breathtaking.
