We arrived as strangers and left as family. Their hospitality was top notch. Game drives are very educational. We can't wait to go again. It is like a second home to us. Thank you very much for a fantastic nice weekend.

The facilities were aged and not attended to with care. We had an unfortunate incident where one of us was shocked by frayed wiring to an old toaster. We wish this was checked and removed from the premises to ensure the safety of our children who could have accidentally touched it.
Very nice, friendly owners. Very nice game farm. Beautiful cottages and lodge. Very nice hiking trails. The chalet was very nice and tidy. The forest life was beautiful as was the layout of the lodge. We are definitely going back again in January.
Safe place, very neat and has a beautiful view, would love to go back for the game drive.
Wonderful hostess and host. The units are neat, well equipped and all facilities were accessible and well maintained. The poor cell phone reception was perfect. A valid reason to be out of reach for a day or so. Definitely a second visit on the cards.
We were received very hospitably and we could just relax. Don't know who was the most tired between the children and dogs, but they played each other up. Had to make sure with packing that a dog was not "accidentally" packed.

Kareekloof Game Farm offers an escape from city life with an abundance of birdlife and a well stocked game farm. There are no TV's in the chalets and with limited cellphone access the family had no choice but to settle in and enjoy the surroundings.

We were warmly welcomed by Leon and Annalize! They are absolutely the perfect host and hostess. They always made sure we were ok, if we needed anything extra and always willing to help! The accommodation was so comfortable, we lacked nothing. My husband and I went on a picnic, and the basket Annalize prepared was top notch! We cooled off in the pool, chatted with other guests and with Leon and Annalize. We saw wildlife, from a white-faced goat and their young to a tsetsebe (first time I've seen such a goat)! And I will not forget Trompie, the red cat. The naps were a bonus! The peace and quiet was welcoming! I would recommend Kareekloof Game Farm to anyone who just wants to get away from the busy city noise. To Leon and Annalize: Thank you very much for your hospitality, see you soon! We pray big prayers that your area will be blessed with rain, the floodgates will be opened!

Owners are very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed. Communal sitting/TV area is very nicely furnished. Buffel Kothuis is very neat, clean and cutely furnished. Enjoyed the night monkeys that come out both nights and even met Trompie (the local red cat). Had a nice mountain bike ride and walked on the game farm. Would definitely recommend Kareekloof and hope to visit again soon.

We went on recommendation to break away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We were welcomed like old friends. Leon and Annelize welcomed their guests and immediately told us their house is now our house too. The only thing we were sorry about was the fact that our visit was so short. The facilities are nice and service is excellent. It must be a paradise for hunters. Unfortunately I'm not a hunter, but I could en enjoy the atmosphere.

We really enjoyed being on a peaceful farm for the weekend. The normal farm sounds, animals and birds you don't hear in the city anymore. Kareekloof offers a great breakaway from the busy Gauteng, only a short drive away. The farm offers peaceful walks, rare game and old school hospitality via the hosts. Very nice bar area if you have the need to chat to others.

Kareekloof Wildsplaas is not a holiday resort. There is no "super tube", restaurant or shop. No TV in your room either. It is precisely in this that the beauty of the place is to be found. It is a place where one can just switch off and enjoy each other and the beautiful nature, far away from the city's hustle and bustle. Neat, private units where every morning a friendly hybrid dog meets you at the front door where she lay all night watching over you. A rooster alarm clock that wakes you up early in the morning. It was the first time in months that my wife and I had a chance to just talk, play games, breathe fresh air and rest. Perfect for our so-called "baby-moon". Absolute hospitality. Leon and Annelize were always available and no request was too big. To be honest, I would have enjoyed it more if the game farm was more accessible to us on our own. Maybe if there was a game camp where we could drive ourselves or a marked footpath or two into the field. Nevertheless, Leon took us on a beautiful game drive with a guide where we were taught a lot about the trees and the mountains and saw lots of goats, pigs and giraffes. The drive and our vacation ended with a visit to "Miracle Mountain" where we stood on a mountain overlooking the farm just above a herd of elk and laid a pebble and a prayer at the foot of a large wooden cross. It was a humbling experience that brought a tear to my eye. Dusk on the way back, the most beautiful white flowers, which only bloom in the evening, made their appearance. Like hundreds of little stars lighting up the woodland floor. In summary, I would definitely recommend this place. However, I would suggest that if you want to come here for more than two days. It took us about a day and a half just to switch off. However, for those of you who get withdrawal symptoms from the hustle and bustle or "super tube", both Rustenburg and Buffelspoort ATKV Resort are a 45 minute drive away.
Bushveld hospitality is synonymous with Leon and Annalize Prinsloo. People with a passion for the hospitality industry. Annalize's hands are always ready to host people, while Leon's passion for the wild and alternative hunting is clear. If you have a heart for the bush and veld, this is the place for you. We arrived as strangers and left as family.

What a lovely weekend. Annalize and Leon are fantastic, honest people. Nothing is too much trouble for them. A lovely farm on which to relax, be close to nature and just find yourself again. I am sometimes sceptical about places that mention "you arrive as strangers and leave as friends" because I don't generally believe it, but at Kareekloof this is the honest truth. We had a wonderful weekend and Annelise and Leon's knowledge, passion and hospitality made us feel so at home, without being overwhelming. The self-catering units has everything you need for a weekend and the farm has wonderful opportunities for taking lovely walks. Our two year old was accepted as part of the family and had a wonderful experience. It was probably the nicest getaway weekend that we've had as a family.

Kareekloof is your home away from home... Annalize and Leon make you feel so welcome... My husband really enjoyed the bass fishing and I enjoyed the game drive. There were many giraffes... Leon's stories and knowledge on the game drive make it interesting... Accommodation was nice and the pool looked nice if only it was warmer I swam... Hubby could still support his Stormers bushveld.

Leon and Estelle are very hospitable and really make you feel at home. We hit a COLD weekend hence no fishing but enjoyed the scenery. The accommodation is clean and the cleaning service is excellent. There is enough braai wood for a nice campfire. The dirt road to Kareekloof is good, but quite rocky!

We appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and were able to really relax. The children found the bonfire extremely exciting and enjoyed playing with the friendly farm dogs that come to visit. Furthermore, Leon and Annalize kept good control over their guests so that everyone could enjoy the atmosphere and peace of the forest.

This self-catering has 2 bedrooms, the one bedroom is furnished with a double bed, and the other with 2 single beds. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom that are fitted with a toilet, shower, and basin. The kitchen is well-equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. This unit is is located close to the swimming pool and linen and towels are provided. Guests has access to the braai facilities and lapa.
