I always enjoy staying at Karibu. The welcome, hospitality and support of the host is excellent. It's practically steps from the beach front and heavenly to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Excellent.
From arrival to departure it was a huge treat to stay at Karibu. I was even surprised on my birthday with personal congratulations and a gift. The location is extremely good, very safe and the unit is lovely. Danie made a special effort, especially to explain the TV to me. Highly recommend Karibu.

In my view you could ask for nothing more from a self-catering holiday establishment. Extremely clean and comfortable with everything you would need. Close to the rock pools and lovely walks to enjoy.

The place is very beautiful and has everything you need. The water and juice in the fridge was a nice bonus. The place is load shedding free which is great. It's walking distance from the sea and you can clearly hear the waves.
The focus on small detail is commendable. We felt very much at home and had a nice sea view and braai facilities inside the unit. Very neat and well organized. Also provided for power outages in relation to lights and TV.
Very neat accommodation with everything you need. Everything went smoothly with check-in and check-out. Very friendly and willing to listen to special requests and accommodate them where possible. The attention to small "detail" is commendable. The towels that were folded like swans made us think we were on our honeymoon again and the tea towels that look like a bird are almost too beautiful to use. We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.
Our second time at Karibu, everything was as perfect as the first. From the warm welcome by Danie to the actual accommodation tastefully decorated with everything you will need for a very comfortable stay. The very clean and tidy place really love the small details like the swan-folded towels it was a wonderful stay.

We loved all the extra little touches, like the beautifully folded towels and chocolates! Even the loo roll was decorated! A wonderfully peaceful place to stay. Thank you for your hospitality and efficiency in booking us in. We will definitely stay here again. The only thing that made me feel uneasy (probably from coming from upcountry) was the lack of security bars.
Safe and very tidy, the host also gave very good "tips" about attractions and places to eat.
The room is the same one that we have stayed in before and is very clean and well equipped. Loved the ornate display of towels twisted into swans and other animals. One minor irritant is the TV. We don't watch much, but we watched a bit of cricket on the day we arrived. On Sunday, we thought we would just catch up on news before we went out, and the TV was not working. A message displayed related to the DSTV account. We had the same problem the last time we stayed there. The problem is that the owner was not there, and his manager could not fix the problem. As I mentioned, the TV is not so important to us, but since this was the second time it happened, other guests might find it annoying.
Karibu is also very well equipped for loadshedding with a generator, gas dusters and lights for when the generator is off in the evening. Everything was very clean and tidy with uncapped WiFi and full DStv. Attention to detail!

Staff were very helpful and welcomed us kindly and showed us the ropes. This accommodation is perfect for a quick visit to Hermanus (business or leisure) and longer term holidaymaker.

Immediately felt at home and although the weather didn't cooperate, our stay was very comfortable with a heater and an electric blanket on the bed. And don't forget the treats, chocolate on the bed with the nicest folded towels, water, milk and juice in the fridge just to name a few. The environment very quiet and so to speak on the coastal promenade. Will definitely stay at Karibu Self-catering Accommodation again and would highly recommend it for a nice treat.

The price is too good for words. We were absolutely amazed at the value we got for the price we paid. Frans was an absolutely wonderful host. The view was fantastic. The facilities were of high quality. Although the wall was low, we were absolutely safe, and also our car.

Danie from Karibu was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. He gave us some good locations to visit in Hermanus. Our unit was so cosy and welcoming and warm. Just down the road from the beach and tidal pool. Definitely not our last visit.

This accommodation was very well equipped even though we only stayed 1 night it was very peaceful and quiet. This is the first place I stay overnight that has an ironing board and iron. These are 2 items that are very important to me because I don't walk around with unironed clothes.

Very nice stay, the photos are only slightly misleading in terms of the different houses. We thought we had an indoor barbecue, but it's only in the one house. Specify a little more that the specific photos are with the specific rooms.

A truly pleasant stay in a wonderful, modern, spotless apartment! Our thanks to Danie for giving us hints on places to visit. Although about ten minutes from the town centre, Karibu is approx. 100 metres from a tidal pool and fantastic coastal trails in either direction. I can highly recommend!
Second time staying here and shall do again, close to the beach and rooms very well equipped. Just 2 comments: 1. self-catering facilities very comprehensive, but tea bags supplied are not 5 roses and they are quite unpleasant; 2. because it is in a residential area there is no sign stating that it is Karibu Self-catering Accommodation just follow your satnav.
Loved the accomodation as it very modern and everything needed for a breakaway. Will recommend to anyone. Was awesome to be able to still have power during the day, even though there was loadshedding. Safety outside at night can be improved by having some sort of solar lighting, as it's extremely dark as there is no lighting.
It is centrally located and quiet enough to recharge. Very friendly and hospitable.

Would definitely recommend Karibu Self-catering to those looking for a quiet getaway. We were very happy with the unit and just what my wife and I had in mind for our very first getaway alone for our wedding anniversary. The hospitality of Frans was exceptional which undoubtedly deserves a return visit.

Location is very ideally hidden and close to the sea with a nice long walking route by the sea.

The place was terribly beautiful. The sea view was a hit and the beds were very comfortable. Apart from a small oven, the place is fully equipped with everything one might need. The only thing that might be mentioned is that the apartment gets a little smoky if the windows or sliding door are not closed properly, but it didn't bother us much.
My husband and I spent a lovely time here. Everything was excellent and the service was excellent - from our arrival until we had to go home. It was almost like a 5 star hotel. I would recommend it to anyone and will definitely return again. The roar of the sea lulled me to sleep at night. What a fantastic place, a gem.

We loved our stay at Karibu. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very big but has no cooking facilities other than a microwave. There is no undercover available for the braai so if it is raining you have to eat out. Fortunately this was not an issue for us and we would definitely go back.
Karibu Self-catering just needs to put in heaters, it was a bit cold.

The place is in quiet surroundings. The kitchen is well equipped. I appreciated the extras for consumption. The shower is immediately warm and convenient to use. Recommending a stay strongly. Vermont itself is about 20 minutes before Hermanus. Lovely rocky beach and very pleasant walk.
On short notice and with the help of the website, checking in at Karibu was convenient and easy.
Will probably get very hot in summer. No burglar alarm either. No air conditioning. Would love to have anti-theft.

We are a family of 2 adults and a 1 year old boy, our boy slept in his camping cot and there was enough space in the room with us. The cottage is nicely furnished with DStv and Netflix, we didn't come to watch TV but that was a bonus. Will definitely visit here again. The people are warm and friendly. 5 Star experience!

There is convenient parking on site and they are walking distance from the beach. Karibu is also close to amenities such as restaurants and malls. We will definitely book accommodation there again because they have beautiful rooms that are actually apartments with everything you could possibly need for your getaway over an evening, weekend or holiday.
The unit has everything you need in a self-catering place. There was a fresh box of milk in the fridge and water, coffee, sugar etc. everything was provided. The unit was very neat and clean, we couldn't have asked for a better weekend away.
We lived in Aristea and what an experience. The unit is stunningly beautiful and everything you can think of is here. The reception also immediately made you feel welcome. Walking distance from the sea. Will definitely come again.
