Hospitality, absolutely fantastic, will definitely visit there again.
We checked in late afternoon and had the freedom of the house to relax. Kate's Country Kitchen Accommodation provides all the basic necessities for a stay away from home. It's comfortable and warm. I personally enjoyed sitting on the couch on the porch late at night playing games and the next morning the sunroom was nice and warm to enjoy breakfast.
The owner is friendly and welcomed me with open arms. She cared about my needs and made sure that everything was in place. I want to thank Mrs. Jacqueline for the warm welcome and the service she has given me and my colleague.
Ideal place for short visits to Bredasdorp.
Comfortable overnight accommodation in Bredasdorp town center in a very old house with the necessary facilities. Suggestion: please indicate on for guests when load shedding is expected. We were caught off guard and searched for the emergency light in the dark.
It is an acceptable place, with character, for a short stay in the center of Bredasdorp at a reasonable price. It should be mentioned, however, that the sounds from the street were disturbing for someone who is used to silence at night (such as noise from the nearby bar until midnight, or the church bell, which chimes every 15 minutes). The hostess, Jacqueline, was certainly very friendly, helpful, and accommodating, regarding our special needs for participating in the Foot of Africa race. Thank you very much for that!
I would recommend Kate's anytime. The room is clean and tidy. Jacqueline is a good hostess and makes you feel welcome. She is very helpful.

All systems worked and emergency lights for load shedding were handy. However, there are aspects that require attention. The uneven floors were a risk for older people. Loose carpets did the same.
It's for people who like old and wood and don't insist on the latest and greatest amenities. Electrical devices do not all work together. Big plus, my dog was allowed there. Beds very comfortable.
Like sleeping in great grandmother's house with all kinds of weird ornaments.

Great, very neat, clean and friendly.
A little cramped since everything is in one room, bathroom, kitchenette and twin beds. Not the room indicated above. We had a great time, but you can't buy food there and breakfast is not available.
If I can only make one recommendation: Put air conditioning or fans in the rooms. It was incredibly stuffy in the rooms. The effort in putting out the fruit, yogurt and muffins for us the next morning is appreciated.
Jacqueline was a helpful and friendly hostess. She helped us throughout and spoiled us with delicious banana muffins for breakfast. The room and house are old, but they are neat and ideal if you are looking for a nice place to sleep. If you're looking for luxury and modern amenities, look no further, but we like a comfortable place with character and a fair price.

We slept very well. This is a nice separate private unit, fully equipped with everything needed, and secure parking. Will definitely come again.
Kate's Country Kitchen was exactly the kind of accommodation we were looking for. Neat, homely, peaceful and perfect. Jackie is an absolutely wonderful hostess and made a deliciously scrumptious breakfast. It was a home away from home experience for my partner and I. The garden was a relaxing place for an early morning ciggie with coffee amongst the beautiful herbs and fruit trees. Would highly recommend this warm country cottage.

Thank you very much! Just what we had left, for the wet, cold weather. The muffins were delicious. All that bothered me a bit are the plastic bed protectors which are noisy.

It was a beautiful old house in the middle of Bredasdorp.
We had the privilege of staying in an old restored house - with plank floors and all. It takes you back to years... However, everything needed was available - from a hot shower to DStv. Sit down with the warm hospitality and you have a winning recipe.
