Khangela Lodge is situated in the heart of Southern Maputaland, just 16 kilometres from the town of Hluhluwe, on the road to Sodwana. It forms part of a 170-hectare private game reserve that boasts its own sand forest, thornveld, wetlands, and grasslands, with an abundance of game and birdlife.

The lodge has 3 luxury, air-conditioned chalets each with their own wooden decks nestled in the bush, overlooking the tranquil waterhole. Each cottage is fitted with a king-size bed, with quality percale cotton linen. Each has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and indoor/outdoor shower, and boasts a wonderful view of the bush. We can accommodate 6 adults and 4 children under 12 years if child-only mattresses are arranged before arrival.

Khangela Lodge is self-catering and fully serviced daily. The main living area is separate to the chalets and has a spacious inside-outside bar, a comfortable lounge with flat-screen TV and a full selection of DStv channels. The dining area has a beautiful 12 seater dining table and there is a fully equipped kitchen. The lounge opens out onto ample decking with a sparkling pool, seating and loungers around the pool, and a fire pit beneath the trees encouraging you to relax at the end of a perfect day and star gaze.

The game park hosts only safe game so is ideal for tranquil self-guided walks and excellent birding opportunities on the numerous walking trails available. Walking through the park with the abundant wildlife is a rare treat and you are sure to encounter many species of game which include giraffe, wildebeest, nyala, warthog, impala, zebra, duiker, kudu and monkeys.

Should you wish to venture out for a day, there are many interesting activities all within close proximity to the game park, such as Big 5 viewing, golf, elephant interaction, mountain biking, reptile interaction and spa pampering.
