Phillip came to clean the house very nicely every day and was very pleasant. The stoep area is surrounded by large trees that provide nice coolness on the deck. The animals come up to the house. The boma braai area is the winner. I will definitely come again.
We had a lovely stay, the location was fabulous and a wonderful view onto the Crocodile River. Night time was spectacular around the boma fire, and the house had all we needed for our stay. The butler was also very helpful. We hope to be back.

The house was incredibly clean and tidy and exactly as the photos show.
We have stayed in a number of houses in Marloth, and Kieriekplapper River House is probably the best. It is a wonderful house that has all that you need, and Phillip the butler is a huge asset to the property. He is polite, helpful, and very hardworking, and the house would be less without him.
We really enjoyed our stay. The night monkeys and warthogs were a highlight every night. Phiip was very helpful and we had a very friendly reception.
Was very nice especially because we were a big group of people and the host cleaned everything every day. We all had a great time relaxing, beautiful view of the Crocodile River.

I will definitely visit Kierieklapper again! It's a beautiful place with everything you need and more. Only drawback was that the aircon didn't work, but I believe that's just a technical problem that can be easily fixed!
With heat it was nice to have a place with a pool. Place was nice and big, the children could play around and enjoyed seeing the warthogs and goats. House has everything to enjoy a place when you are on vacation.
We will definitely book again!
The house is very well laid out. Rooms are wonderfully spacious and there is everything you need in the house. The reception was friendly and everyone is very helpful. Would recommend the house anytime. We had a wonderful stay!
Lovely place. Clean. Had problems with freezer but resolved within two days.
There was just a terrible ant infestation that literally climbed into everything and on all the cupboards, sink and so on. It would have helped if there was Doom or something like that available to us. The view of the river is very limited due to the vegetation and we couldn't really see what was going on on the river front. The hostess still allowed us to visit a little later, which we really appreciated! Would love to visit again!
We were a group for my boyfriend's 30th, and I can promise you we will never forget it! The lodge is right across the Crocodile River which is the perfect place to see animals. We had lions hunting right across from our house and we had a leopard in a tree right across from us. It was amazing! There is also a friendly warthog that made its home under the balcony and came to greet us every morning. Also take some fruit with you, because there is the cutest night baby's nest. Would definitely recommend Kierieklapper and would definitely stay there again.

Everything was very nice, but the alarm system won't really help if thieves come. It doesn't work as it should. But otherwise the house is very nice, but you have to be with a (large) group of people, otherwise you are very lonely.
From the day I booked to the day we checked out there is only one word. Incorrigible. I would definitely recommend this house. Phillip is so helpful and friendly. If there is any problem, no matter how small, help is always there quickly. We had a great time and left with heavy hearts. Kierieklapper we will see you again for sure.
We were a group of 8, ranging in age from 12 to 70. Our group included locals and internationals. Everybody was delighted with the house! We had kudus, warthogs, zebras and impala visit right by the house, and saw giraffes and ostriches right up close driving along the river, and elephants and waterbuck across the fence. We booked a guided morning game drive into the Kruger one day, and drove ourselves the next ─ both were amazing! We went in the Crocodile gate and out at Malelane, stopping in Lower Sabie. Phillip was great! Very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend this home and would love to be back.
It was nice to get personal contact immediately after booking, not only from Sonette van Kierieklapper herself but also from Phillip - the star of Kierieklapper. Arrangements were quickly made with us regarding directions, keys and they were both very helpful in answering questions about the facilities as well as the area as well. A beautifully equipped kitchen is just one of many compliments.
We scrubbed in Kierieklapper for 9 nights. The house is excellent in every way, from braai tongs and wood to soft bedding and luxury soap. In the end, some of our people couldn't come and Sonette offered us extra nights for the extra cost without any hesitation. Great service! Phillip is a huge asset to the house. He is helpful and friendly. He talks very nicely about the environment. He spoilt us. Don't hesitate, book now and drive, you won't regret it. 100%
Kierieklapper is food for the soul, from the moment you set foot in the door you don't want to leave, what an oasis. The most wonderful but pleasant Butler, Phillip welcomes you at the front door and his warm smile and gentle personality make you want to make the place your own. Magical place to stay. Loads of wildlife that walks past the front door. Overlooking the crocodile river in the Kruger National Park. The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher and coffee machine. Kierieklapper River House has huge rooms each having its own bathroom and kettle and coffee area. Most definitely coming back to stay here!

The house is perfectly located against the fence. Nice clean pool with a great view. The house is very clean. White sheets and clean soft towels and a chocolate. Phillip, the butler, is one in a million and was willing to wait for us until late at night for handover, he took us through the house so nicely and explained to us late at night he is an asset for sure. The house's air conditioning was already on too! It's the first time we didn't need to wipe down cutlery before use. Bathrooms painfully neat and clean! When we left, Phillip was back at his post to greet us and went through the whole house to make sure we didn't forget anything!
What a beautiful majestic house! We had a warm welcome from Phillip, and stayed for 4 days. We definitely come back and stay longer. We had several visits of the Zebra's, and a lot of Kudu's, the warthogs and the mongooses. In front of the house we saw Elephants and we hear the lion roar. The terrace upstairs is excellent for your early morning coffee or a sundowner. The swimming pool is also a warm welcome. We only missed some relax chairs to sit outside. But overall it is a 5 star house with everything what you need. Beautiful bathrooms, great kitchen with all the utensils, air conditioning everywhere, even soap for the dishwasher was there. A total complete house. We want to go back!

The house is well located and except for the power that went out every now and then, there are absolutely no complaints. The electrical problem is of course an area problem and not something that can be changed at home. The cleaner was also very friendly and helpful!
We enjoyed it tremendously. Unfortunately the trees obstruct one's view, but with the heat we experienced there it was also welcome. The house is spacious and has enough space so that everyone could also enjoy some privacy. The man who looked after the house was very friendly and helpful.
