Definitely a must experience! Danie and Rencia's hospitality is incredible, you feel right at home. A photo cannot describe how incredibly beautiful the place and nature around you is. The cave was neat and clean, equipped with everything you might need. Will definitely go again. A must for your 'Bucket list'.

This was definitely one of our bucket list destinations, it's a must experience! From the moment we got there, the hospitality of Rencia and Danie was amazing. We were immediately made to feel at home and it felt like we were visiting family! The cave was everything and more than the pictures suggested. The accommodation was top notch, the unit was perfectly neat and clean, the kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need! We asked for wood and it was at the unit when we got there! We also asked for extra wood for us the next night, and Danie brought it to the unit for us with no problem - front door service! Rencia and Danie made sure we had everything we needed to make this one of the most memorable experiences ever! I can definitely recommend this destination for the "experience of a lifetime" and "food for your soul"! Melinda and Koos.

"Breath-taking, need to see, a "must" experience for any nature lover."

I lack words to describe the experience. No words to describe our amazement. where do i start Read the rules. Very important. Fortunately, we read carefully. Our 4x2 Isuzu bakkie with diff lock certainly did not let us down. We were a little anxious seeing as we had never done "Offroad" before, but the nerve racking ride was definitely worth it. Upon our arrival at the farm, we received a very friendly welcome and were nicely shown the ropes. When we arrived at the cave dwelling, we were blown away by everything. The view, the craftsmanship and God's creation around us. All I can say is that no photo can give you the true feeling/experience. Go see and feel for yourself. Definitely worth a tick on your bucket list.

The road to the cave is rough, and a 4x4 is recommended. However, the rough road leads to a beautiful, secluded, exclusive cave with a magnificent view. The cave house is neatly built with a lot of attention to detail. The kitchen is well equipped and the interior is comfortable and neat. It offers everything you need and even more! There's an additional outside shower and bath on the edge for an extra adventurous experience. Lovely braai area and a long, beautiful balcony with an unlimited spectacular view. Friendly and helpful hosts.

After turning off the tar road, it is a substantial drive along a very scenic gravel road to arrive at the farmhouse. When we arrived at the farmhouse, we received a very warm welcome and assistance with storing our trailer on the farm. We were directed to the cave by our hosts. Although the drive to the cave was quite rough, it is possible without a 4x4, but plenty of ground clearance and a diffloc combined with experience is essential. A high 4-wheel drive vehicle with a diffloc would be the ideal choice for this terrain and will leave you less concerned about how you will be getting out of there after your stay. Arriving at the cave is a breath-taking experience; the view is amazing, and the sheer cliff drop-offs even more so. The cave itself is fantastic, with great care given to all the details. We found the cave perfectly clean and tidy with all the essentials needed for your stay. Walking through the sliding door onto the veranda is mind-blowing, and although it is a 75m sheer drop, there is a secure handrailing which will leave you quite comfortable at that height. We are regular travellers and are always on the lookout for unusual places to visit. This cave is one of the most spectacular and unusual visits we have had. For the hiker, there are endless opportunities, and for the 4x4 enthusiast, there is an 18km trail which will not disappoint. In a nutshell, we found this to be great value for money and an all-round awesome experience. We will definitely be visiting the cave again and would like to give a big thank you to our wonderful hosts.

Very cute place, especially for a romantic getaway for 2. The view is incredibly beautiful! The fireplace is nice, especially because the wind can blow quite fiercely up there. Definitely need a 4x4 to get up there. Feel like you are one with nature and truly experience God's greatness above!

"Wonderful accommodation but no handrailings on access."

The accommodation at the cave is first class but we had to turn back due to safety concerns with the access walkway to the cave. The walkway is on a fairly narrow ledge adjacent to a very high cliff but no handrailing is provided between the cliff and the walkway. A railing is provided on one short section of the walkway, but it is provided on the wrong side of the walkway and not on the side of the cliff. The walkway is also fairly uneven which increases the chances of a person tripping and falling (which could be a fatal experience). We were able to reach the accommodation by walking very slowly and carefully and holding on to the rock face! However, we were unable to carry any of our luggage and food to the cave. The wind was also extremely strong and we had to cling with both hands to whatever holding place was available. We have requested a refund from the owners but were informed that their house rules do not allow persons with disabilities or children younger than 14 years at the cave. We should also have seen this on the photos. However, these house rules are only made available after arrival at the site and no warning is provided anywhere that the cave is unsuitable for infirm persons. No photos are provided of the access walkway to the cave. A further issue that luckily did not affect us, is that the road to the site does require a vehicle with offroading capabilities as well as a driver that has experience with offroading. We would not recommend it for anyone with a soft-roader. There should be a warning that makes it clear to visitors that the cave is only suitable for persons with vehicles with offroading capabilities and not for infirm or older persons, persons with disabilities or young children. Photos should be provided showing the condition of the access road as well as the walkway to the cave.

"Unbelievable, breath-taking view. Clean, comfortable & spacious. Wow!"

Make sure that you set aside sufficient time to get to the cave as the drive along the farm road is slow. The final 2.6km requires 4x4 & low range in some areas. The accommodation is absolutely special, with unbelievable, breath-taking views. After 3 days up there, one remains in awe of the view. Normally, one has to hike for hours & pitch a tent to achieve views of this magnitude, but King's View Cave offers this from the comfort of the lounge area - absolutely awesome! I will definitely make an effort to visit again.
