Klein Waterval Riverside Lodge offers friendly country hospitality in a relaxed farm atmosphere in the Franschhoek Valley, on the banks of the Berg River, surrounded by vineyards and dramatic mountain views. We are situated on the R45 in Groot Drakenstein, which is about halfway between Paarl and Franschhoek. Stellenbosch is a mere 20 minutes away and Cape Town only 50 minutes.
There are 8 en-suite double bedrooms, each with their own private entrance and verandah, with splendid views of the mountains, lush gardens or vineyards. Each guest room has a telephone, bar fridge, safe, fan, air-conditioning, wall heater, hairdryer, TV with Netflix, as well as a tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Rates include accommodation and a choice of either a farmhouse breakfast or a continental breakfast. Breakfast is served in our beautiful breakfast room or on the verandah. We also have a fully licensed honesty bar for our guests to enjoy a sundowner in the afternoon or a nightcap after dinner.
There are various activities at the lodge which the guests can enjoy such as hiking down to the river and watch the different stages of grape farming or merely to relax around the pool.
The conference room opens onto a deck that overlooks vineyards and mountains. The venue seats up to 45 delegates with basic facilities and breakaway rooms. Our standard equipment includes a whiteboard with markers, flip charts, pen and paper, and should any additional equipment be required it can be ordered on your behalf and charged accordingly. Wi-Fi connection is available at reception, bar, lounge area and conference room.
We can arrange transport to and from the airport, tour guides as well as wine tours.

Was very kindly welcomed and looked after the whole time we were there. Will visit again.
We had a wonderful stay, but the very best part of our visit was definitely Ezna's great customer service and warm welcome and hospitality during our stay! The two days we stayed were cold and wet, but we were welcomed every morning in the dining area with a lovely warm burning fireplace, coffee and down to the smallest details such as the cups and plates that were heated. Ezna also provided us with umbrellas for our day out on the wine tram and assisted us with necessary reservations as well as recommendations on places to eat in the evening. Our aircon-heater did run overtime in the room, due to the cold, but we are also equipped with lovely warm blankets. If we come again, hopefully it will be warmer and we will also be able to use the nice swimming area.
A beautiful place with a nice peaceful atmosphere, spacious rooms and the best hospitality with the most beautiful view of the mountains. We can definitely recommend Klein Waterval Riverside Lodge.
The staff is so friendly. View and location very good. Units clean and tidy.

Trevor and his team, Ezna and Danica, you carried us on your hands and couldn't do enough for us! Thank you for all your kindness and help. The breakfast is excellent! Beautiful view and clean accommodation and linen. We would love to go home there again.
We stayed two nights, but would have liked to stay longer, a quiet peaceful setting with amazing views. Near to shops, walks and good restaurants if driving. I would recommend.

We were greeted by name as we arrived with everything we asked for as arranged. The management and staff are friendly and always available. Management also had great knowledge about the area and could recommend and arrange supper at a great venue.

Warm and friendly people were so nice to feel so at home. Made so much effort with us and made us feel really special and at home. amazingly beautiful there and had a great sleep breakfast was the highlight most delicious breakfast got with great variety. Definitely on my list to visit again.
