I went up to Kleinkloof Farm for the weekend with my boyfriend and had the most incredible time. We stay in Cape Town and wanted to get away from the city for a bit; this place is a little slice of heaven! We will definitely be booking again.
My stay was everything I hoped for and more. A quick getaway to a farm environment, accommodation in artistically decorated rustic cottages. Much supplied that you would normally have to bring. Awesome!

Really enjoyed the weekend and the cottage was sufficiently equipped with everything we needed. There were some hiking trails and we were able to explore the area nicely.

Stay was pleasant. Owners can only pay attention to few things like the broken kettle handles and broken mugs.
Short, It is a bumpy gravel road, which is mentioned when booking. Upon arrival, it's a stunning little spot against the Piket-bo-berg mountains. The place was clean, other than a lot of spider webs everywhere. We had a run-in with other guests and a dog, as the dog tried to attack my daughter, so be weary when taking animals to places like this, especially if they don't do well around other people. We ended up leaving at midnight due to a scorpion in the bed, so it was a very short stay, I personally wouldn't recommend it for small children, but possibly great for a group of friends. A little on the expensive side for what you get.

Kleinkloof Farm is a place for true rest. It is a beautiful cottage, lovely swimming in the paddling pool. Our host, Leon, also made sure our stay was top notch. We will definitely stay there again! A hidden gem.
We had planned to go for a hike but ended up not leaving our cottage for the whole weekend. It is the most peaceful and relaxing space. The view from the pool is beautiful and it feels as if you are in the middle of nowhere. Perfect place to catch your breath.
The Klienkloof experience is special on so many levels. Picturesque surroundings that allow for walking, jogging, walking and cycling. The cottages have been prepared with so much taste, with a special touch and focus on the small details. It's perfect for two (and a dog), families and groups. An excellent getaway or stopover when traveling through the area.
Nice place for a getaway with your better half. There is a hot tub, a swimming pool to cool off, and a braai. What more do you need? Nothing!
Went for my wife's birthday and she loved it. Happy that we had our own pool where we could swim with our dogs. The unit had everything we needed from cutlery to bedding. Great place.

Leon's beautiful olive farm near Piketberg was such a surprising find, off the beaten track and in a beautiful mountain valley. The Manor House is distanced from everything else and has every creature comfort one could wish for. Cozy, comfortable beds, a spacious living area, fireplace and a well stocked kitchen - a chef's delight! The outdoor braai, pizza oven and entertaining/lounging/pool area is also divine and the views are reminiscent of the Tuscan hills. We enjoyed our time so much that I've already recommended it to two friends and will definitely do it again myself. The fact that it was a great place to enjoy time with our children and dog was an added bonus!
The place was a bit dusty and the down feather bedding didn't help. It really affected our sinuses. Other than that. It was delightful.
It's got all you really need, a small well-equipped kitchen, fire inside to keep you warm on colder nights, a lovely small stoep with its own braai area, dip pool (which we used a bit) hot tub (which we plan to use next time for sure). We loved our morning and afternoon walks, meandering around the farm and through the fynbos. The place was tidy and clean and Leon was a great host, telling us when load shedding was happening, if it was going to rain etc. We didn't want to leave and will be going back for sure. The whole place, with the other cottages is great for a large family or friend gathering. Highly recommend. Thank you so much Leon for the our stay.

Quiet and private, Kleinkloof's Leccino cottage is perfect for couples. We were surprised to find a woodfire hot tub attached to the cottage, which was incredible! We really had such an amazing time here. A bag of wood was provided for us, but mind you, more bags will be needed to get the tub up to temperature. Hot water and a full kitchenette are available in the cottage, which are things you expect I suppose, but seldom think of. There isn't much cellphone reception here, which I absolutely loved: no distractions!
We had the best time to unwind and do a city living detox. The views were spectacular and the hot tub and pool were so great. The hospitality and level of communication from Leon was on point and I was not left wondering.

From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and uplifted by the beautiful views of the mountains, the olive groves and the wide open plains. The views are dreamy from all angles. The varied trees, fountains, plants and birdlife add to the delight of the surrounding environment. The cottages are stylish and comfortable in equal measure, with appealing artworks, books, lovely pieces of contemporary furniture and subtle thoughtfulness behind every aspect. And each has its own plunge pool to cool off on hot summer days! Gorgeous spot. We would love to return.

We were the only guests. It was peaceful and totally relaxing, not sure how it would be when cottages are fully occupied in busy season. Comfortable accommodation for 2 guests, walking trails, magnificent views of the mountains.
Really nice accommodation and a stunning home with relaxing environment and amazing view. Would suggest to add a cup of HTH to manor house pool and new chlorine floater before guest arrive to give the pool a bit of a clean. Inform the guest on where to place bin’s black bags when full and post images of Manor house pool on booking sites so the guest can see what to expect.
Although this accommodation is well located in terms of scenery, walking routes and distance from the Cape, the accommodation itself is disappointing. Its cleanliness and maintenance definitely needs a lot of attention and precisely because of that it cannot compete with similar options in the Western Cape. The houses are also located much closer together than expected, so the silence in nature that you hope for is somewhat disturbed. I do see the potential of this accommodation and the surrounding gardens and hope to one day be able to see it in the expected condition, but for now I am unfortunately not going to recommend it to anyone as a Western Cape accommodation option.
The double bed had 2 single duvets on it. The Nespresso machine was dirty and still had old pods in it. Both knives blunt, roof leaked on the sofa where one would/wanted to sit. Just felt like the place wasn't quite finished and it's not like the place went for the un-finished feel. Could do with more effort, lovely place, location and very nice surroundings. Could only make more effort.
Beautiful rustic but still very modernly decorated cottage with a stunning view. Loved the peace and quite away from the busy city life. The splash pool was a true gem and I really enjoyed my time there.
The getaway weekend to Kleinkloof was an experience that we and our children will remember for a long time. The environment lends itself to the most beautiful photography. Long walks on the porch with the mountain against us was a highlight.

Unfortunately we only booked one night. The is the most perfect farm for a scenic, peaceful getaway. We had delicious coffee in the morning and really enjoyed the beautiful nature. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay longer next time.
No alternative (solar panel, or led rechargeable light) for loadshedding times was provided, we sat in the dark. No WiFi and minimal cell reception was a problem for us.

Very nice place to stay.
This is a place with taste, Mediterranean styling and the most wonderful views. It also had a cat-with-character who went for a walk with us, and helped warm up a cold, rainy night. It was wonderful to cook in such a well-equipped kitchen too. Aspects of our booking went awry (we needed separate beds for our sons), but staff went to great lengths to try to fix it and apologise.
Very beautiful place, soft decor and a great host. The wisteria tunnel was a mind blower. The mountain hike was great. Cool-off pool was amazing. Really loved our four days.

Had a fabulous stay. The setting is absolutely fantastic and we could really relax. Our cottage was perfect size and we sat outside at the braai both evenings. Just a couple of suggestions: outside light at braai area; chest of drawers in bedroom.
Kleinkloof is beautiful and quiet, the ideal place for a peaceful getaway. The house we stayed in was well equipped, but a bit small. We'll book a bigger unit next time. Johandre is a great host and takes nice care of his guests.
Kleinkloof Farm is preferably a place to go in the summer for those who like barbecuing and swimming. If it rains, you can't barbecue, because the canopy at the barbecue is a net. But definitely a nice and beautiful place. Very calm. Definitely a place to visit.
Lovely peaceful setting, close to nature, bird life wonderful, wood burning stove made the cottage warm and cosy. Kitchen and bathroom were a little too rustic. While eco consciousness is laudable in our hosts, I find it inconvenient to force it on your guests while they are having a break away (ie no microwave and confusing recycling bins).
Units are beautiful, needs some attention, lights bother at night in unit close to main house.
Exactly what we were looking for for a quiet weekend, the braai corner and pool were a winner, with a beautiful view of the mountain and valley far below.
We were pleasantly surprised with the surroundings and the accommodation we stayed at. We will go back. Lovely rain also fell while we were there.
What a beautiful, peaceful getaway - close enough to slip away for a few days, but far enough away to make you forget about the "everyday stuff". A few mosquitoes came to greet us in the evening, so keep the doors closed when the sun starts to set - otherwise everything was better than great.

Very cute place and very friendly service. The bedding needs a little attention, and it would be nice to have information available to guests regarding hiking trails and activities in the area, but other than that, really no complaints.
