We had a great time staying at Komati Friends. It was exactly what we needed to spend the night in Komatipoort before crossing the border.
Good overnight destination. Cute little town.
The service was fantastic. The rooms are serviced every day and there is air conditioning in the unit. Barbecue facilities are available and the place is particularly well located for a visit to the wildlife park from the Crocodile Bridge Gate.
Julie as owner is very friendly. Close to Crocodile Bridge Gate and perfect for an affordable quick getaway.
Would just prefer a little more privacy between rooms on the stoep.

However, the mattresses were bumpy and would recommend that they might purchase new mattresses. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Very comfortable, clean. We were received very kindly and there was nothing we lacked. There is plenty of secure parking. Guests next to us were noisy which was slightly disturbing and there was zero MTN or Vodacom signal. (Not sure if this was a general problem or a once off) I would definitely stay there again.

The unit is spacious with a well-equipped lounge/kitchen. Furthermore, there is a bedroom with a good bed. Bathroom is neat and well equipped.
Friendly service from booking My Mother is in a wheelchair, the units have stairs, but she arranged for someone to help us get the wheelchair up the 3 stairs in the unit. Julie herself moved the bedside table to make the room more comfortable for my mother. Unit neat, clean, and spacious and safe. With a disaster, the unit can easily pass as wheelchair friendly. Will definitely stay there again.

After a long day on the road and an exhausting Komatipoort border post experience, it was a pleasant experience to arrive at Komati Friends. Secure parking. We were able to leave camping equipment on top of the roof rack of the vehicle. So thankful we don't have to unpack and unpack everything. Apartment is neat and well equipped. Host directed us to Komatipoort Golf Club for dinner. Just such a pleasant experience. We left early next morning for our game park destination. Close to the Crocodile Bridge entrance gate, Komati Friends is therefore an ideal overnight stop before entering the game park. Would definitely recommend Komati Friends.

Host was friendly and accommodation spacious, clean and affordable. Previous reviews mentioned no door on toilet. I thought that, that may have been rectified. Although a screen has been provided, it was too heavy for it's intended purpose. A sliding door or even a roll up blind would be preferred for privacy. Other than that, Komati Friends is definitely my preferred choice of accommodation in Komatipoort.

We couldn't have asked for better. We could not be in Komatipoort before 9 in the evening. The owner was very friendly and waited for us with a smile. The room was much more than we expected and excellent. I will stay there again for sure.

We just stayed for one night. Unit is well equipped with a kitchenette and lounge with limited TV channels. Bathroom well equipped and spacious. Very clean and neat. If you want, you can also braai on the patio. Close to the Kruger National Park.
Good venue for overnight stay and access to the KNP. Host friendly and helpful.
We spent the night at Komati Friends on our way to Mozambique. The room was much bigger than expected and quite nice, everything worked and for the rate it was real good value, the owner was nice and friendly and we enjoyed our stay there.
