A quiet weekend away from the city for family time. The cute little house is very neat, clean and well equipped.
Our family enjoyed the break. Had everything we needed. Nice to enjoy the natural beauty and silence.
The Cottage itself was homely and comfortable. Although we came through and stayed their for 2 nights due to our work being in and around the area it was an inconvenience that there was no signal in the house, so one could not come home after field monitoring and do some GIS or check whether or not we found what was needed of us. Its not necessarily to say that we needed wifi, all we needed was signal to access the internet in order to work. In all I appreciate everything Janine did, she is amazing.
Exactly what the soul needed. Nice and quiet and very neat. Would recommend to anyone who wants quiet and a little break away.
Klipberg Cottage is well appointed with all the basics you need for a comfortable stay. The cottage was spotless when I arrived, and good quality linen and a well-equipped kitchen made sleeping / cooking / eating a pleasure. The cottage is secure with an alarm and burglar bars - one would assume this a necessary precaution given that the cottage is close to a road leading to McGregor. This is probably the cottage's biggest benefit and downfall: while McGregor is literally a two minute drive away, if you want a place where you feel completely isolated from the world then this is probably not your best option. While there are many options for walks in the area, the immediate vicinity of the cottage has a slightly abandoned feel about it. The proximity to town makes forays into town to explore the various restaurants an easy alternative.
