La Maison is a hidden gem in Cradock. Will definitely go there again and recommend. Place is modern but classic, lots of space and neat. Secure parking. Appreciated their attention to detail and all the extras we received. My son finished the homemade rusks in one go.
This is certainly one of the very best accommodation options in the Eastern Cape. Excellently equipped and very neat in all respects. It's no backyard apartment, rather a very stylish and private house on a beautiful plot. Altus is a gallant gentleman who has his guests' interests at heart.
It is an absolute oasis. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and went the extra mile to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I would definitely highly recommend the place.
Advance arrangements and reception were off the books! The owner and his wife were extremely helpful, friendly and very hospitable. The accommodation itself is close to perfect. Unit superbly equipped with only the best. Swimming pool deliciously comfortable to cool off in. Would absolutely recommend - Altus is full of care and hospitality. The best we have ever experienced! More than you can expect!

Lovely flat in a pretty garden. Furnished tastefully with a lovely bathroom, good toiletries, and fluffy towels. Kitchen well-equipped and a good choice of wines, soft drinks, and snacks in the honesty bar.
What stood out was the treatment we received from the host. To him, we give the biggest golden star! I also loved the electric blanket and nice decor. Thanks so much. Will come again. God bless you.

It was very special. Feeling like we are at our own home. So nice clean and comfortable and will recommend to all our friends and family. We slept so well and were refreshed in the morning. Thank you very much for your hospitality and for taking care of us. is truly the best place we have ever stayed.
If there's one place we'll definitely be going back to, it's La Maison. The place is really very neat and actually the photos do not reflect how absolutely neat the place is. We will definitely stay there again if we are ever in Cradock again. Highly, highly recommended. From a full snack bar with wine and soft drinks to a piece of biltong waiting for us. It's not every day that we get that with all our driving around the country.
Great central location, beautiful surrounding garden. Altus is the most friendly and helpful host ever, lovely, and made a great first impression of the cottage. Everything about the cottage was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, and roomy with excellent service. We had a lovely braai on the big stoep overlooking the sparkling pool and beautiful garden, which made us feel at home. I would rate this accommodation a definite 4 stars. It is great value for money and the service was attentive and excellent. The cottage itself was well equipped and comfortable, with an honesty bar/shop. We are delighted with our stay and hope to be back for a longer visit in the future. This is absolutely my number one choice for Cradock/Nxuba accommodation.
Words cannot describe the experience we had at La Maison Cottage. Everything was perfect. Anyone looking for self-catering accommodation in Cradock would be foolish to stay anywhere else. Book now. Prices need to increase for this 5 star experience.

Unit is well equipped and guests are welcome to check in. Feel more at home there than at my own house. Everything is thought of and we were welcomed very well. Thank you for your good service and neat place to stay!
The owner is very friendly and cares about the well being of customers. They look after every aspect to make the stay as comfortable as possible.
Everything is perfect, just a pity we didn't have water when we wanted to take a shower. The hostess offered that we could shower in the main house, but we just didn't feel comfortable with that.
