The blinds in the master bedroom cause the sun to shine into your eyes early if you are still trying to sleep. Curtains will work better. The bathroom is very small. The kitchen is well equipped. Neat and clean.

Great location, but don't get on the wrong side of the owner of the resort. All customer experience flies out the window, even though arrangements were made by them for bringing a pet along.
As always, we really enjoyed our time at Lake Pleasant. Excellent service and friendly staff. The restaurant / sports bar that is back in business is a bonus. You will definitely see us again.
The environment is quiet and peaceful, you sit around the campfire and when you look up it is a starry sky covering you, it was amazing.

We were pleasantly surprised by the garden apartment we stayed in. It was very neat, comfortable and affordable, and the service was excellent. The beautiful surroundings, including the adjacent camping site under lush green shade trees, are neatly maintained. Cleaners are punctually on duty every day to ensure that the residential units, rubbish bins and barbecue areas are tidied up. We reported two defective light bulbs, and they were replaced within five minutes. All this reinforces the impression that the manager effectively has his finger on the pulse of the resort. Thank you very much, mr. Lidstone.

The house was clean and tidy. Slept so well, good firm mattresses. We were able to rest wonderfully. We had a lovely stay there. The scenery and bird life was fantastic. They came to clean our dishes and make beds every day. We already long to go back there.
Really impressed. Everything was in place. Time was just too little. The only hitch was that the dirt road to the beach (Groenvlei) was blocked in places by low, hanging cables and at one point the road was impassable for a normal vehicle. We had to turn around halfway and unfortunately could not enjoy the sea/beach.
Wifi had to be shared. Not enough routers. Removed during the day and when asked about it, was told that the timber lodges get preference as they pay more. Like my 1k per night is not good enough. Shower door is broken. Toilet leaking. Kitchen cupboard broken. Everything is very dated. And couches are uncomfortable.
We once again had a great time in one of the cottages. Our grandchildren also really enjoyed the pool, trampoline and play park. We will definitely book a stay here again.

Lake Pleasant was an excellent place to relax with small children. Everything you need is there and nearby shops if you need something. Owners are friendly. Chalets are spacious, very nice stay!
There is room for activities and a playground for children. Don't let the permanent residents put you off.
Beautiful views and loved the weather, not too hot and drizzling at times. The chalets need permanent mosquito/spiders repellents. DStv channel should include channels for children as well. Spacious grounds to walk and play. Kids loved being free in nature. The trampoline, squash court should move more to the middle of the resort, cause its located right at the back of the resort.
We were so impressed, that we will book there again and again. The Timber Cottages have their own swimming pool, therefore offering more privacy. The tree-rich surroundings were breathtaking, so we didn't miss a sea view in any way and it adds to more privacy. The cleaning services were top notch and the management and cleanliness commendable. The laundry facilities are free, except for the use of the tumble dryer, which is understandable. There is a restaurant that is open from Wednesdays to the weekend and offers generous portions for little money. There are also several other entertainments that are absolutely worth it and we recommend contacting the management about this to find out more. The sea and beach are a short drive from the resort and are very private. Otherwise the beaches at Sedgefield can be visited. The resort is centrally located and therefore one can explore the entire Garden Route within short distances. One of the biggest attractions is of course their security! Remember enough mosquito nets though, because there are swamps everywhere. The caravan sites are beautiful and there are also smaller residential units for rent. There is also a swimming pool for the rest of the resort. This resort truly offers value for money!!

My wife and I went out for the day and switched on the alarm. We came back, place was cleaned, our clothes were folded, our phones, laptop, everything was safe as we left, and alarm was switched on again. Pool was beautifully clean, tennis court was also nicely cared for. Lake Pleasant will see us again next year. I would definitely recommend them.

to be honest i dont think i will visit lake pleasant again. lots of mosquitoes and it is very hot in December. they do supply fans but it does not help for the upstairs room.
