Charmaine and Jane were very hospitable. We would have stayed in the Tower but were upgraded to their largest place. Many thanks to Charmaine for that. Would be great if there could be WiFi and maybe a TV in the future.

We enjoyed our two nights in this spacious cottage with very comfortable beds and a lovely shower — two things that always count for me.
The shower was the best. Communication with host was good.
I had a great time exploring Midland Meander and staying at Landy Lane cottage. The communication with the host was great, the location was convenient and you could see the love they put in setting up the cottage. The kitchen was well equipped and cooking was made easy. I will be back next time I´m in the area.
Clean and tidy with everything needed for a comfortable overnight stay or central point to visit the Midlands Meander.
Charmaine and her family were warm and welcoming, and my daughter loved feeding the horses on the farm. The room was warm and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. There's a farm stall nearby that does breakfast and lunch, which was very convenient. The cottage was well-signposted and easy to find.
We felt welcome as soon as we stepped in and spent a lovely long weekend in these neat, well-equipped cottages. Even though it was a bitterly cold weekend we were snuggly warm thanks to more than enough blankets, hot water bags and gas heater.
Charmaine is extremely friendly and hospitable. Accommodation is clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend.

The Tower was sufficiently equipped and clean. Nice not been subjected to loadshedding. Charmaine welcomed us and made us feel at home. Easy access to the Meander. Enjoyed the stay.

The check-in process is very easy and the owner is very hospitable. The tower cottage is one of a kind - it's like a tiny house. The bedroom has a beautiful view - horses and a green landscape! There is also secure covered parking. It's very close to the train station and it's also a unique experience to hear the train passing by. The place is close to the Railhouse Farmstal and their breakfast was fantastic! It was nice to be able to stay here!

We stayed in the Tower which is like a tiny house. It was well designed and had everything you needed for a short stay. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and the place is off the grid so there were no service interruptions. Well placed to access the meander.

We had a wonderful stay in the Landy Lane Cottage, beautiful location and ideally located on the R103 to explore the Midlands. Friendly hostess and went out of her way to accommodate us. The cottage is completely "off the grid", so no loadshedding or water problems. We enjoyed it so much and will definitely stay at Charmaine's place again. If I could make a suggestion, it would be to maybe put in a bigger fridge, which could also take frozen products for guests staying longer than one night. There is currently only a "bar fridge". Charmaine was accommodating and we were able to put our meat in her freezer. Thank you very much.

It was a lovely stay. It was secluded in a way which was great for escaping the city and the noise. The cottage was small, but cozy enough for us! The owner was very friendly and everything was very organised and easy. There were no hassles. The owner contacted me beforehand and sent me the location to the cottage as well as gave us directions to the cottage. We had a very nice time there.

Shower is not very good, mostly cold water. Not for the feeble or sick. However, Charmaine was kind to move us to a cottage for the remainder of our stay, which was excellent.

The place is cosy, clean and quaint. Host was friendly, accommodating and pleasant. I loved the setup and will be back again for another trip to Midlands. I took time out to relax and unwind, left the city in the city. Landy Lane Cottages was the perfect place to do so.
Our evening in the Midlands was breathtaking because of Landy Lane Cottages. The place is clean, in a very good location and meets everything you need to spend the night in the mountains. There are many restaurants and attractions close to them. Inside the cottage there are leaflets that show you exactly where and how far the places are. Due to "loadshedding" there is not always cell phone reception to get the locations on the GPS. The leaflets came in handy. The owner brought out toys that my kids loved.

Comfy beds!
Landy Lane Cottage is conveniently close to the N3 and all the other attractions in that part of the Midlands. The Railhouse Farmstall is within walking distance and the farm atmosphere and bird life was refreshing. The Cottage is very well equipped and comfortably spacious. Cell phone reception is poor in that area, but provides a welcome break from social media and electronics. Someone else might be disturbed by the trains that pass by from time to time.
Would've appreciated Wi-Fi in the cottage. But other than that everything was fantastic.

We booked in very late and her children were there to meet us. Just a suggestion: A mirror in the main bedroom close to a wall plug would be nice. Also maybe a rail to hang clothes on.
Friendly and helpful owners. Clean. I enjoyed waking up to the sound of different birds singing.
What bothers: the shower is erratic. Then cold then you burn. There was no firewood. The light in the master bedroom is wrong. I like to read before I sleep. Now the light casts a shadow on the inside of the book. They could also kindly provide a decent kettle to use on the gas stove.
Always fun to visit the Midlands Meander and every time one is surprised by how much there is to do and see. Landy Lane is probably slightly away from the larger access routes but it is delightfully quiet. And Charmaine forwarded us the exact location. The guest house is big enough for 4 people and each room has its own bathroom which is very convenient. We had everything needed for an overnight stay except a view of the surroundings as it was located behind another building. We could go for a walk and also get to know the horses.
No wi-fi. No DStv. No tools to use at the braai. No info available on nearby places to visit etc.
The space was really a treat.
The cottage has all you need for an unplugged, relaxing stay. It caters for comfort in both hot and cold weather. Really great location for those who want to explore the meander.

We were so warmly welcomed by Charmaine who showed us the super clean comfortable accommodation which was so ideally suited to our needs having two on suites. A huge plus is this location is very close to a number of popular meander activities. Myself, my husband and my mother very much enjoyed the beauty and the peace of the area.
