20 guests' feedbackDefinitely worth the stop-over and visit; quiet and quaint tree-filled suburb. Will be back in the future should the need to stay over in White River present itself. Guests might not enquire upfront about WiFi (myself included, due to arriving very late) and when eventually requiring access (12:40 am), it was sheer chance discovering where the password was located. The hostess probably mentioned it upon arrival, but hasty and tired offloading while checking in might have been at the expense of paying attention to some property details. Either way, the network and signal are of good quality.
Highly recommended for any overnight stay!
I stayed at Lavender Guest House while I was away on business. Everything was beautiful and clean. The Wifi worked great while the signal was down. Bed is very comfortable with enough pillows, shower pressure is nice and strong. My only suggestion for the room I was in would be to replace the door with the glass panel with a solid door, you can hear in the morning at 05:00 when staff come through the front door. Other than that, everything was delicious.

We had a wonderful stay at Lavender Guest House. The service was very good and Maxine made extra effort for us with our little baby. The breakfast was also delicious. Very close to the schools. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse.
Clean and comfortable, but note that there are only showers, no baths.
I was received very kindly by Maxine and made to feel at home. For a business traveler, a desk in the room is comfortable to catch up on e-mails, but was missing. There is a small table with chairs just outside the room and lounge was available. The rest of the room is adequate and was very neat and clean. The WiFi was not wafers, but was explained on arrival that there was a problem that would be fixed by technicians. Parking for your vehicle is outside on the pavement, but has sufficient lighting and also a camera system. It didn't bother me much. Breakfast was also delicious, but only about 10 minutes later than I requested.
We traveled to White River in less-than-happy circumstances. We were made to feel at home and given all the help we needed while also being given the space we needed.
Friendly welcome and very helpful. In a good, safe area and easily accessible. Thank you to Beth and Zisie for making a nice meal.
