Lemoenfontein Game Lodge is a wonderful place to relax and get away from everyday hectic life in the cities. Located in a unique, natural environment. Very spacious, comfortable old world rooms and bathrooms. All the meals remind you of 'Grandma's' food. The service was excellent.

We started our holiday on a lovely peaceful note. Lemoenfontein's tranquility and beauty made us relax wonderfully. The dinner and breakfast were also delicious.
I suggest there is a list on which you can highlight problems. Our shower drained very slowly. Stand with your feet in the water. It would have been ideal to record this in writing.

I stay over often. Very peaceful environment after a long day's travel. On a farm in the mountains far away from any noise and activities. If you can get a place to stay here, you can't compare with places in town.
Lovely room with TV and full DSTV channels. Dinner was expensive, but great quality with a Karoo flavour and extremely enjoyable. Bed had electric blankets, very necessary this time of the year. Room also had wall-mounted heaters which helped despite the high ceiling. Beautiful view over the Karoo from the central verandah area, lovely gardens with a pool for the summer months. Friendly pets and pet-friendly. Lovely fire in the bar/lounge area. Beaufort West was not a destination, simply a stopover, but Lemoenfontein made it worth the while. Look very much forward to returning in the future during our travels.

Very special location with a beautiful view of the Karoo. Good food, comfortable room and friendly and helpful staff.
Upon arrival we were kindly welcomed by Brilliant, without hesitation he helped unload luggage and assigned our rooms. Rooms are comfortably equipped with up to Peaceful Sleep for carefree sleep, and biscuits for early morning coffee. Staff are all friendly, and evening meals were proper luxury peasant treats with rice, meat potatoes and vegetables. Will stay there again without hesitation in a house with rich history and stories.

Clean, tidy, hospitable.
It was a wonderful stay - a respite for a weary traveller. After a long day on the road I was generously and kindly received. The room exceeded my expectations and the bed was firm and I was able to enjoy a good night's rest.

We slept here on our way to the Cape with our 2 children. We were warmly welcomed and the rooms were superbly appointed. The meals are delicious and even extra effort was made with food for the children. There is plenty of room outside for the kids to play and we could enjoy a drink.

Fantastic place to stay with very attentive and friendly staff apart from the receptionist who was not the most helpful. The food was excellent but the breakfast coffee was disgusting - you have to order it from the waiter and explain how much sugar and milk you want in it and it is then brought to you with those already added - very strange!

Lemoenfontein is definitely a very neat sleepover. Rooms spacious and very tidy. We stayed in self catering and it was just as high quality. The downside (if you can call it that) is the 5 km dirt road from the N1. We were on our way to Cape Town and had to have our car washed in Beaufort West before we could travel on. Car was terribly dirty. Otherwise very highly recommended.

Lemoenfontein is our regular favorite place to spend the night when we're heading to Cape Town. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished. Meals are always delicious and they go to a lot of trouble. We travelled with our two dog children this time and Lemoenfontein is pet-friendly, just arrange it beforehand. We saw giraffes and spring bucks, and the nature and tranquility surrounding us made the gravel road worth driving.
Lemoenfontein's service is very good. Staff are well trained, very friendly and helpful. Have already recommended the place to travelers and will do so from now on.

Lemoenfontein is definitely worth its 4 star status. The rooms are beautiful and the dinner was particularly delicious. However, I feel that breakfast should be included in the price to make it worth it.

It was an unbelievable experience at a beautiful place.The guest house's veranda looks out over the Karoo landscape and the entire experience was one of peace and tranquillity after a long journey. Where do you find waiters and guest house managers these days who address you on your name from the get-go? The food was delicious and the service excellent and very personal. It was definitely a special experience. We are going back for sure - just like the 10 other couples who went back this year after many previous visits.
We were welcomed very kindly and shown to our room. All the staff and animals (especially Jack and Skillie!) are very friendly and helpful. The three-course meal is a winner: food like one's own mother would make and very tasty after a long day on the road! A definite recommendation for a good night's rest.

Very cute place in the mountains of Beaufort West. Friendly customer service. Picture pretty. If you like historic buildings, this is the place for you.
The historic house, whose history fascinated us, was like an oasis in the vast Karoo landscape. We liked the old-fashioned Karoo house with veranda, as well as the interior decoration and the bathroom which creates an atmosphere from the early 20th century. We didn't have time to go see the wildlife, but took the footpath to the spring. What a beautiful view! On our journey further to the Cape, we told all our friends about Lemoenfontein and will also advertise this Karoo surprise when we return to Gauteng.

Although it is wonderfully quiet in the winter, it is also well equipped with air conditioning and a swimming pool for the summer.
